I would say my experience with the events that have transpired is a 1/5 but working with Vanessa has been a 6/5. We had such unfortunate issues that are still persisting and earlier reps (AJ) were not a good experience for us. We ultimately ended up with Vanessa and were able to start clearing everything out and it’s due to her positive attitude and professionalism that we finally felt like we had an ally at Accrue. Working with her allowed me personally to have faith again in Guideline. We’re not in the clear yet but we were making ourselves ready to leave Guideline due to our experience.
Guideline has been a valued partner for my small business. I specifically use them for their easy-to-use integrations with Freshbooks Accounting software and now Gusto Payroll. Their site is top notch with owner/admin tasks, a vast repository of well written help files (not easy to do when discussing tax implications), and also a highly professional help desk with real live people based in the US. Glad I am using their service.
I was on hold for 20 minutes which was excessive BUT the rep that answered was professional, well spoken, took care of my request above and beyond. Walked me through where to find what I needed online and uploaded my requested documents for me to download in less than a half hour from the time of my request. Yes, I was on hold for a long time but I don’t mind to hold when I receive that quality of service.
As a company, we love how automated everything is (no more uploading manual reports!). The website is also very intuitive for employees and the administrator. The mobile app is also great. Guideline is a must for any small businesses out there looking for a great and affordable 401(k).
