Rachel helped me opt in to my 401 k plan efficiently. Me and my employer were struggling to opt in but I received excellent service from Rachel and my matter was resolved under 5 minutes!! Thank you so much Rachel !!!
Natasha was so helpful. I truly appreciate her I don’t even write reviews. I just had to put her out there I was need I’ve been getting the run around about my account and she was able to solve my problem with no issues or negative feedback. She’s truly a sweet blessing thank you.😊
Rachael was an amazing help to me when i was trying to figure out my account, she went above and beyond with assisting me and even explained some things about my account that I didn't even know about. I'd give her a higher score if I could but i'm limited to only five stars.
No mobile app, extremely limited investment options, log in process it's very slow - it takes minutes to get a one-time code if it works at all. Would not use.
I signed up with human interest because they were having a promotion of $0 for life if I signed up through Gusto. A year later they started charging $250 a month and told me the deal I had for the last year did not exist. Blatant lies and false advertising.
Lousy. Their website is just bare bones. They do not even provide and annual report as you have to tally up the quarterly reports.
If I ever change jobs, the first thing I will do is move my money out of HI.
By far, some of the worst customer support I have ever worked with. I would avoid this company like the plague. The customer support will just lie about their first names and will even admit as much when called out. They claim to escalate to a manager, which for some reason takes a minimum of 2 hours and requires a call back - I've asked for that twice now and I never got a call back.
All I want to do is transfer my funds from their company to my preferred institution. Apparently this requires an online account and they tell you to do it yourself. Working with support the first time, the person had me create a new account altogether, and to make it worse, my account was not linked to my current/actual IRA account with them. He then fought back and forth claiming he can't find my accounts. After over an hour, he founds the accounts, but they failed to get my account properly activated and then told me to try again after 24 hours - so he just gave up!
The next two phone calls to two different reps, have you repeat the same steps, over and over again providing the same information multiple times. All of which has been of no help and they still have my money!!!
If you don't have any questions, or want to understand more about your plan, HI is a great option. Do they administer things correctly? I think so? Can I actually get decent information from our representative? NO. Their customer service once you are a customer is extremely disappointing. We have an account manager, however, our account manager gives us incorrect information, and/or such a minimal amount of information that it's not worth the time or money to pay for this level of support/advising. I have requested to be moved to another manager, and through their support chat I have been told twice now that I would hear back from the leadership team within 4 hours. It's now days later and I'm still waiting for a response. I really hope that they can figure out how to improve their customer service and ability to support with finding solutions in the future.
My overall experience, and first impression was terrible with Human Interest.
Initially, I was contacted by Marco Valdez to sign up for Human Interest (HI). Over the phone, I originally expressed my concern with ADP because they were charging me too much. ADP admitting they were billing me too much for years, and refused to compensate me for the overcharges. At that point, I knew I had to go elsewhere.
During that call, Marco told me all of the benefits of Human Interest. This was also including a $1500 transfer credit for switching to HI. He mentioned it should cover my ADP transfer fee. I remember the conversation, because I mentioned that I believe my ADP fee is $2000, so I may need to pay some out of pocket. He didn't think it was that high, so I said I would look into it later. I did find out that my ADP fee was $1500, and Marco was correct. I was happy to hear I could get out of ADP without paying any fees.
Months after getting everything all set up, I was told I would only be getting a $750 tech credit. When I asked them about the $1500, they told me they don't have that offer. I immediately reached out to Marco Valdez, who never even bothered to contact me back. Already got the sale, so ignoring me must have seemed like a good idea.
I told them I was definitely promised a transfer credit, and I even grew suspicious when the name "Tech Credit" for $750 came out of nowhere. None of those words were ever mentioned on our call.
Unfortunately, none of this was in writing, but it was the least of my concerns to think HI would deceive me. Fortunately, that is where I can bring my feedback to review platforms.
Any time I had to reach out to support, there was never an easy way of just getting help. Each group would take over during the implementation, push you through, and forget all about you. I had an issue where my HI connection wasn't working with ADP, and it was like pulling teeth to get it confirmed. Mind you, this is all within the first few months of setting it all up.
I would leave HI if I didn't just lose $750, and spend months switching it all over. Also, the price ended up not being that competitive in the end. Overall, bad move on my part.
Terribly hard to deal with! No interest in supporting customers whatsoever. You feel like you speak with robots or people who are not even trying to help you as a customer. It is obvious that instead of actually helping you they are trying to hit their KPIs. Here is what i mean. You send an email asking clear questions, the answer is - let`s have a call. You ask about prices - Let`s have a call. You ask about anything - Let`s have a call. I am shocked to see this old mannered way of communication and such lack of understanding of customer`s requirements. They are leaving us no choice but to switch to another provider.

Human Interest is the WORST. I had a 401(k) with them in a prior company. Not only do I not work for the company anymore, but the company itself left Human Interest a few years ago.
However HumanInterest still has my email associated with my former company's 401(k). So they are collecting money from my company for an account to which I have no access. The fact that a) they didn't notice it and b) their onlyh support email doesn't work, makes me distrust this company.
If your employer uses HumanInterest, get out. Put your money in an IRA - even keeping your money under your mattress would be better than HumanInterest

I want more choices as to the funds I can invest in
I've used Vanguard funds for most of my career, and finding only Blackrock funds, and none that were basically the same as the vanguard funds I normally hold (total stock market, or S&P 500 funds) was disappointing.
The process to close down a retirement account for a single-member business has been excruciating. I signed up for this service by the recommendation of Gusto. They will continue to debit your account for more than $100/month for 7-10 months after you request to cancel while they "wind down."
I was given the runaround and no one ever owned the closure process completely. Each time I'd make a request about stopping billing, I would be told that no more billing would take place. I finally had to put a hold on my checking account to prevent them from continuing to bill us.
Human Interest continues to charge you for three months of more after you have left them for another 401k provider. Your customer service rep doesn’t tell you this when you cancel and instead someone else contacts you to set up an appointment a few weeks later. They auto charge your account without your permission and try to make you sign a decommission document agreeing to the terms that benefit them. Terrible experience. Avoid at all costs.
My experience initially was extremely frustrating and disappointing. Communication was unclear, and I felt like I was not getting the information or support I needed. The process seemed disorganized, which left me concerned and unsure about what to expect.
Fortunately, Catherine N. stepped in and completely changed my experience. She took the time to clearly explain everything in a way that was easy to understand, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and most importantly, followed through on everything she said she would do. Her professionalism, responsiveness, and commitment to resolving the issues restored my confidence.
While the beginning of my experience was very poor, Catherine N.'s outstanding customer service turned things around. She is a true asset to the organization, and I greatly appreciate her help.
Í havent seen any kind of pàyroll or contributions to accomodate my retireménr life..

The girl that assisted me with closing out my 401k was very helpful! She was fantastic at walking me through all the steps to assist my needs. There was a lot involved with that process and she was very knowledgeable and easy to understand. Thank you!
Update: It's been over a week and we have not been contacted by anyone as per the comment.
Human Interest's customer service is abysmal. It's hard to get someone on the phone and when you email support they give vague, incomplete answers. I give them a 2 instead of a 1 because they did integrate with our payroll provider and there was ease to that, however, when we switched payroll companies it was almost impossible to get someone to tell me how to manually contribute to the fund. We are switching providers.
