I've been using Hasleo backup software for about 6 months now and love both the software and probably even more the great support you receive. I previously used another product and ran into a problem. It generally took days to get a response, and I went back and forth with them numerous times without getting any resolution to the issue. I tried Hasleo. Had the same issue (turns out it was a Microsoft update problem) but Hasleo's support knew what the issue was and let me know what to do. Best part is that Hasleo always responds immediately. I don't think I've ever had to wait longer than 30 minutes to get a reply. This latest support ticket was no different, and again they had the right answer for what the problem was. I think this is the best support staff I've ever encountered.
When I had to reinstall Windows 11 on a laptop, Hasleo Disk Clone was obviously removed and the result was it could not be re-registered. I emailed support and got an email resolving the problem within two hours. Solving problems that quickly is a mark of a good company. As for the software itself, it is fast, straightforward to use and has several back-up options.
I have been a customer/user of Hasleo software for many years. Never had a problem until yesterday when a disk backup suddenly failed with an error. I proceeded to contact Hasleo’s Support service via email and within a few hours I had already a reply with a suggestion to try. It worked immediately and was able to complete my backup successfully. Thank you very, much for your help!
The free version does not work if you want to use an external usb drive.

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and fully understand your disappointment that this feature did not meet your expectations.
We would like to honestly clarify that the ability to "Restore/Clone Windows to a USB drive" is indeed not supported in the Free Edition of either Hasleo Backup Suite or Hasleo Disk Clone. This limitation is clearly stated on our official product comparison pages:
https://www.easyuefi.com/backup-software/comparison.html
https://www.easyuefi.com/disk-clone/comparison.html
However, compared to most similar software on the market, our Free Edition imposes remarkably few limitations and is more than capable of meeting the daily data protection needs of the vast majority of home users. We also want to be transparent with our users: the ongoing development, maintenance, and technical support of our software require stable funding. As an independent software vendor, we reserve the right to reasonably determine which advanced features are included in our paid editions based on our product strategy and business sustainability. This arrangement allows us to offer a robust free version while ensuring the long-term health and evolution of the product — ultimately benefiting more of our users.
Thank you again for your feedback and understanding.
It does not estimate size of backup and verify that the target has enough space. It will make you do backup, fill up your disk after hours of waiting, and then tell you there is not enough space. I am surprised this happens in 2026, like the old DOS days.
Reply from Hasleo Software2026-08-05
We apologize for the unsatisfactory experience.
We acknowledge that the program does not always check the available space on the target drive before performing a backup. This is indeed a flaw in our design, and we will improve it as soon as possible. However, we would like to point out that precise pre‑calculation of the backup image size is technically not feasible, due to compression and the fact that the actual data volume for incremental and differential backups cannot be determined until the backup task runs.
We greatly appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best.
We would like to add a bit more context to the above.
In addition to the reasons mentioned above, I have consulted with our development team, and here are a few other factors behind why we do not check available storage space before the backup starts:
First, Hasleo Backup Suite supports file exclusion, which directly affects the final size of the backup image. However, before the backup begins, the program has no way of knowing how much space the excluded files will occupy.
Second, a backup task often involves backing up multiple partitions simultaneously. Estimating the required space would require analyzing data across all partitions, while also taking into account the impact of excluded files and incremental or differential backups. This would significantly increase the complexity of the backup logic and consume a considerable amount of time.
We hope this background information helps with your understanding. We truly appreciate your understanding and support.
I have been using the Hasleo Backup suite now for about a year.
I have done dozens of restores with it and so far every one of them worked. When I had some questions about a feature I got an answer from the very active admin on their forum.
So for me Hasleo is a reliable program with good restore and backup speed. I’m happy with that, especially that you can buy it and NOT rent it.

Thanks for your long-term support! Glad you're happy with both the software and our forum service. See you around!
Works as good or better than Macrium X and without having to pay a fee every year to use it.
Has all the features of Macrium X and speed creating or restoring an image is on par with macrium X.
I have created and restored many images with Hasleo and so far it has not failed me.
Also, has delta restore just like Macrium.
I have been using Hasleo Backup Suite for a couple of years. Once they launched their retail product, I switched from the free version and purchased the lifetime Family Pack of 5 licenses. The interface is so simple and less cluttered, while maintaining quite the collection of features. I have a "test machine" that I use to test Hasleo Backup Suite restore from time to time, just to make sure it works as it should. So far, it has worked every single time.
A Miracle to use Win 10 clone and Win 11 on the same laptop single SSD
I have a unique tech issue that your Cloning software and USB software have seemed to be the solution with Windows disk management.
When Microsoft decided to dip their paws deeper into our pockets by ending support for Win 10 and providing a lame replacement Win 11 two things happened.I have Autodesk Design Software that I have invested in both the software and training to the toon of over $35k that will not work on Win 11. I need to preserve my Win 10 setup and many companies Software like Turbo Tax will only work on Win 11.
Your two products for cloning and installing windows 11 seem to be the solution.
I have a 2TB WB Black SSD that I am putting Win 10 and Win 11 on. So that I can still use my Autodesk Software (stay offline) and have Win 11 available.
I cloned my Win 10 to my SSD and sized it to about half of the 2TB ssd and here is where your USB software and Windows Disk Manager help. In Disk Manager I made a Formatted Partition on the 2TB ssd. I created the Win 11 installer with you USB software and restarted and booted into my Laptop using your USB Win 11 install drive. Now I had my 2TB ssd connected to my system and not installed inside my laptop and do you know the miracle that happened?
The Win 11 installer showed me a list of all my partitions that I could install Win 11 to including the 2nd OS partition on my ssd. I couldn't finish the Win 11 install because it said the 2TB ssd needs to be installed in the laptop. Tomorrow I will install the 2TB drive into my Laptop and verify my cloned Win 10 stuff is all good and then reboot to the USB installer to almost finish the setup.
The remaining issue is creating Recover Partitions.
Your software has gotten me to the point where I can have 2 licnsed Windows installations on the same ssd and no one else can. Thank you
I've only just begun using the Hasleo Backup software, but initial reactions and impressions are all extremely positive. The FULL backup of all partitions of my laptop drive runs far quicker than any other software I've used to date. I was a Macrium Reflect 8 user until support ended in 2024. It also creates a much smaller disk image than any other software even though it's set to use LOW compression. In fact, I wonder if there are omissions of data in the image since it is so small (i.e. 75% of the size of other image files produced by EASEUS). Since I haven't tried a recovery yet, I can't tell! Fingers crossed...
1. Duration of use – 1 year
2. Satisfaction with the product – very high
3. Support – Fast, helpful, versatile, and technically competent
4. Very user-friendly (well-organized, clear, and free of unnecessary settings).
5. Personal note: I have a lifetime license and am very satisfied with my choice of this program. It has my 100% trust, and I believe it won’t let me down.
6. If I’m going to back up my data, it’s only with Hasleo.
Whilst I am technically proficient with the hardware side, having built many many pc's over the years I'm hopeless when it comes to disc management software etc, just isn't my bailiwick...
Needed to clone a 1tb nvme over to a 1tb sata SSD, then a little later I needed to clone that SSD onto a 512gb NVME as part of a system split (my all in one server/gaming machine, I split it out into 2 separate systems but didn't wanna rebuild my emby metadata etc)
Used the free app to do the cloning & re sizing, which it did automatically and with an incredibly simple GUI,
Literally just a case of tick this source, tick this destination, and click to proceed...
Considering it was free for my personal use case scenario the very least I can do is give it a review, it literally saved me a full day+ of work if I'd had to rebuild even just one of the machines back to where I needed it to be..
After Macrium switched to a subscription, rent-an-app, "extortion payment" model, I started hunting for a replacement. Hasleo is it. It does the job perfectly, for a better price, is simple to use, and their support is top notch. It's as fast or faster then others and results in a smaller image file (good compression) than most. Backing up my freshly installed Windows disk (15 GB used) takes 23 seconds. It is crazy fast and results in a ~7 GB image file.
It does not specifically support Linux EXT file systems, so falls back to a byte:byte backup that can be rather large, but most importantly, it does make a working backup image of it. That's the only "missing feature" I'm hoping will get added some day. For now, as long as I do a Trim command ("sudo fstrim -v /" = removes/zeros out deleted bits so they don't get added to the backup image) on the SSD just before the backup, I still get great results with Hasleo vs Linux. That is if it's on an SSD. On a spinning disk drive (no Trim), you get a huge backup image...but I can't fault Hasleo for that. It is a Windows based software.
I have been using Hasleo Backup Suite since version 3; it is running exceptionally well for me. The restore operations—delta or full—have completed successfully; I have performed many tests and actual restores. I appreciate Hasleo Backup Suite for its neat interface, speed, and reliability; it is my primary backup solution on Windows 11 systems.
Hasleo Backup Suite is both speedy and reliable. I joined their forum to provide feedback and shape the product. The Hasleo team is attentive and responsive to its users' needs.
Hasleo Backup Suite - one of the best backup solutions I've tested so far
I first heard about Hasleo's products, especially Hasleo Backup Suite, when I was searching for alternatives to Macrium Reflect. I wasn't happy with the choice Macrium took with becoming subscription based only.
I tried many different tools from competitors (Acronis True Image, AOMEI Backupper, Redo Rescue, Rescuezilla, EaseUS Todo Backup, Veeam Agent and more) but they all were either missing features, had a cluttered interface or the performance was just bad compared to Reflect.
During the same time I read a change log for Hasleo Backup Suite on a German website called Deskmodder. So I gave HBS a try. The software - despite its name - is very lightweighted (less than 50 MB!) but still provides all the features you could ask for. Back then HBS still had some bugs that I discovered during my testings. So I found out about their support forum, registered and posted a thread with my findings. To my surprise their support responded within half a day and they immediately had a fix ready for me to test. I tested their beta and the problems were gone. That was just crazy.
So I kept HBS installed and dived deeper into testings, reported more bugs I found and basically HBS turned into an extremely stable backup solution within half a year or so. Support was and still is incredible helpful and very interested in making this product better and better.
Fast forward 1.5 years, I'm still using HBS and even bought the professional edition now - although the free version would've been enough with all that features it provides.
Long story short: This company is awesome, listens to their customers and the product has become extremely stable and major. Their support is incredible, never seen such dedication ever before.
If you're in search for a good backup solution, give HBS a try, you won't regret it.
I am another former Macrium Reflect (MR) user for many years, who refused to switch to the subscription model that was introduced with MR Version X. I did my research, and selected the paid Hasleo Backup Suite Pro (HBSP) with free lifetime version updates the day it went on sale last October 2025.
As well, I own a lifetime license of Easeus Todo Backup Home (ETBH). For the last several months, I have been comparing MR Version 8, ETBH 2026, and HBSP, alternating my weekly imaging of my two computers between all three products, and posting my findings on the Hasleo Forums.
When I first started my testing, HBSP was lagging behind the other two products, but it has been steadily improved by the Hasleo Team. Recent testing shows it far surpassing ETBH performance, and slightly exceeding MR8. Note that I have not tested the MRX version because I refuse to purchase subscription imaging products.
I am also a Hasleo Forum member since October 2024. I visit daily. I am very aware of the outstanding support that the Hasleo Team Forum Administrator provides to all users of Hasleo products, whether free or paid.
To combat the spam plague afflicting all Forums everywhere, I volunteered to be appointed as a Moderator to assist the Forum Admin in the last week or so. Nevertheless, my testing and impressions are based on fact, not on loyalty to any one product.
I have received no discounts or incentives as a Moderator, or for this review, or for my comments on other computer Forums that I visit about the quality of the Hasleo Backup Suite program.
I am posting my review now because some previous reviews here are completely unfair to the Hasleo Team and their products. I suspect many are unfounded.
BOTTOM LINE: If you are looking for a superior backup imaging programs, Hasleo offers first-class products, both paid and free, and they continue to evolve and improve. If you have questions, concerns, or suggestions for future improvements, you are encouraged to join and post in the Hasleo Forums. All posts receive a reply, usually within 24 hours.
I have been following the development of the "Hasleo Backup Suite" since December 2022 (v3) and have contributed toward its eventual release. At the time of its official PAID release, the product has evolved into one of the finest imaging/backup software applications on the market. It is FAST (as fast as your System's components allow it to be) and very reliable. The DATA compression used in its imaging algorithms is state of the art. I have used it to restore my System hundreds of times without issue. It's so fast when using its "Delta Restore" feature (only restores the differences it finds between the disk/partition being restored to and the image being restored) that I use it very effectively as a "snapshot tool" (like the RollbackRX and Eazy Fix "time machines") for quick software tests and some possible nefarious web access. I find it as bullet proof as possible in its current state.
I have speed tested it against other imaging tools (Macrium REFLECT, Acronis True Image and AOMEI) and have found it to be mostly equal to or superior in their imaging/restoration capabilities.
Hasleo has a FREE version available (the biggest limitation being it doesn't work with large group licensing, Enterprise & Education) and one of its paid versions is perpetual ad-infinitum... current and all future versions. There's no SUBSCRIPTION licensing here. Their User Forum support as well as their DIRECT Support email address is excellent with very timely response. This is an excellent product!
Made my start and destination drive 100% Disk Usage and trust me NO fix for this. I have to buy a new drive now DO not use this. Use a reputable brand.

Thank you for your feedback. We completely understand your frustration.
It sounds like you were experiencing 100% disk usage on both the source and destination drives during a cloning or backup process. Such operations do place significant sustained read and write stress on both drives, but theoretically, disk usage should return to normal after the operation is complete. May I ask whether this issue persisted after the operation finished?
From a technical perspective, backup and cloning programs perform only standard read and write commands, reading data from the source disk and writing it to the destination disk. These are among the most basic disk operations at the operating system level and do not modify or interfere with the disk's firmware, underlying structure, or hardware in any way. Applications themselves do not have mechanisms that directly damage hardware. If a disk exhibits issues after such operations, it is usually related to the disk's own health status, firmware responsiveness, interface stability, or intermittent problems that arise under prolonged high load, rather than being directly caused by the software. With AI technology being quite advanced today, you can also use AI tools to quickly look up relevant information to verify this.
If you are willing, we sincerely invite you to contact our technical support team via email at [email protected]. We would be happy to help investigate the issue further.
DON'T TRUST HASLEO WITH YOUR BACKUPS YOUR DATA WILL BE LOST
This app is completely broken, full of bugs and unusable. Almost an abandonware at this point. Support is totally useless they will only tell you to buy the premium version. Why would I pay money for a broken app, if even the free version is broken??? Even the plugin author admits the paid version has bugs. This app is totally unreliable, can't be trusted with your important data. Backups are constantly lost. Restoring from backups doesn't work, it stay stuck on "please wait" and never restore anything. This is the worst backup app I have ever used. I lost data many times due to their incompetence. I've tried many times to restore a backup today and AGAIN the app freezes and never restores anything. There is NO EXCUSE in 2026 to ship a product full of bugs. Use AI or something to fix your mess, it's a total disaster.
Edit: now the owner is pretending what I'm saying is not true. Listen dude I did not reply to your email because I HAVE ALREADY WASTED ENOUGH TIME trying to debug your software, providing logs, only to be told to upgrade to a non-free version. Then I said I was hesitant to pay for a software after experiencing bugs, I said I was willing to give it a try if you commit to refunding my money if the bugs are not fixed in the paid version, which you declined. At this point I tried enough and I have no obligation to continue debugging your app especially if I'm forced to pay for it. So you are clearly lying when you pretend you never suggest to pay if people face issues. The version you wanted me to upgrade is NOT free, it's only a 15 days trial, then you're forced to pay to get the same features that were free in the previous version.
To be clear, the bugs is that all backups task are lost, and restoring from backups fails 90% of the time. The app just stay stuck or freezes. It's completely useless and fails at doing what it's supposed to. My review represent a real experience and it's my right to be disappointed.
To quote your own words from our email correspondence:
"To be honest, due to limited manpower and funding, Hasleo Backup Suite may indeed have some undetected issues, because we don't have enough personnel to conduct more testing."
(you were talking about the LATEST RELEASE)
I just tried again today restoring a SINGLE FILE from a backup. It failed 5 times in a row. App freezing or just getting stuck. It happens all the time.

Thanks to the quotes you provided, we finally located our email records. They came from a different email address, so we couldn't match them at first.
You were using an older version, which is completely free and has no functional limitations. As we explained, the latest version still offers a free edition, though with some feature restrictions. We never forced you to make a purchase. You expressed interest in the paid version on your own, and we responded by letting you know about the trial version and the 30-day money-back guarantee.
We are a small development team with limited resources, something we've never hidden. That's also why we've always told users that we cannot provide bug fixes for older versions. And to be honest, we have never claimed our software is 100% bug-free, and no software is.
We greatly appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best.
