Won't accept return of faulty dress

I've had 6 dresses from JJs House and 5 of them are fine, but it's how they've handled the 6th dress that has landed them with a 2-star review. The 6th dress is a completely different colour to the rest, and they're all supposed to be the same. Since these have gone out to different households it didn't become apparent until some weeks afterwards when we were all at a dress fitting. I contacted JJs House to ask for a refund, for a dress that hasn't been worn that I would be happy to return safely. But no, it's beyond the 14-day returns period so they won't do anything. Despite the fact the dress is faulty and clearly cannot be worn with the others. Honestly it's this type of behaviour that means I will never use this company again, nor recommend them to anybody. Their dresses are expensive, and I've had 6 of them in total. That's a lot of money, and given it is such a large firm fully capable of dismissing the cost of one dress, a gesture of good will would have gone a long way.

Damaged goods company doesn't care

Well it arrived in good time, the colour was great. HOWEVER the lace bodice has pulls all over it. My daughter emailed them with photos, just kept getting automated response to take photos, she did this a couple of times. And got frustrated. So for all the parents who I talk too with their leavers, grads, celebration dinners, I will NOT be recommending JJs House.

Couldn't give more than 2. The dresses are so bad quality, nothing like on pictures. At least return process was simple but they charged me almost £5 per dress for stocking fee. So 3 dresses £15 in the bin plus the expensive delivery that I paid £18 and had to also pay £3 to return. Not the business of my life...

Awful refund policy

Ordered my wedding and bridesmaids dresses from JJ's House and they were absolutely perfect. Really good quality. So I then ordered a cocktail dress for my daughter's wedding thinking everything would be okay. However, dress was too small so I reordered bigger size and asked for a refund for smaller size. I paid £119.99 for dress and was told I would expect a refund of £101 to cover P&P and £10 to put it back on the shelf! I was a bit surprised by this but accepted it. However, when I received my refund I only received £88.77 back which I was disgusted by. It was never explained why I only received partial payment. Once I receive replacement dress I will be deleting the app and never using this company again. It's such a shame as dresses are so nice and such good quality.

Do not order from this company as they will steal money from you if you want to make a return. I spent £220 on dresses that were unsruiavke and they only refunded me £160. I will never order from them again.

I will shop again at JJ's House. I had a dress custom-sized for my mother. It arrived within the advertised deadlines and fit her perfectly. I was surprised by the quality of the dress. It is surprisingly well-tailored. However, the shoes I bought, along with the dress, are really poor quality. But I should have known, what could I have expected from 24$ shoes?

I have enjoyed using this company to find the perfect mother of the groom dress. The try-on option is very useful with quick delivery. However, communication was a little slow when I had a problem, but the issue was solved.

I love the dress from here. I think the try on dress is a great choice. They can improve but providing more discount options.

Beautiful dress

The dress when it arrived was the perfect colour but the fit was a bit big because I had lost some weight but was easy to alter. It looks beautiful on, material i is soft and comfortable to wear. I am very pleased with the dress and can't wait to wear it to my daughter's wedding. I will certainly buy other clothing from this site.

Don't use if you're in-between sizes

The dress itself was lovely however, it came up quite small and needed to return it. Which I ended up having to pay £17.89 to do. So if you're in-between sizes (despite using the measuring guides) I would probably avoid as it will cost you to return. Not sure if it's because I done the Klarna pay in 30 days (expecting to have to return it) but yeah, an expensive purchase to be left with nothing. Wouldn't use again.

Sizing is not like your regular size--try on 1st

There were a few dresses I really loved-got the try on at home--in 3 sizes--I'm in 10-12 size range. I got a dress in size 10,12,14--none of them fit--they were all too tight in the bust and waist area and were sent back. It seems that your clothes are like going to a bridal store--for I remember that I had to order a size 14 dress and then have it all alterated. i am not a heavy person--I appear thin and abt 150 lbs and I am 74 years old--don't tell me that your senior people are fitting into their regular sizes ==thats my main complaint. But, because I like the quality of your clothes I will probably be ordering a custom made dress in the future--as they were beautiful and nicely made. Thats it.

Elegant dresses

I ordered 2 dresses the same style, different colors and different sizes. They were Try On dresses and I had to send them back within 7 days. I did send both of them back. Their web site was not user friendly and it was confusing to know the actual price I would be paying if I decided to keep either of them. Although the dresses were very elegant, they were not appropriate for the wedding I will be attending.

A little disappointed

My custom A-line cowl knee length dress will need to be altered. Even though the internal measurement of the waist is what I ordered, it's too big. I really can't fault JJ's for that. However, the built-in bra is too high, of a stiff material, and the seams show through. The faux cashmere shawl is supposedly "khaki," though the online pic looks a soft beige. It's actually a dull mocha. I'd return it but it only cost US$11. The block-heel open toe cocktail shoes are great. They fit well and are comfortable. Everything came quicker than expected and in excellent shape.

Avoid

Avoid. I bought a dress for £123. It didn’t look as nice as in the picture and I didn’t like how it looked on me so I decided to return it. They offered £91 of refund, claiming 10% back as the dresses ‘are made to order’ although it’s a standard size dress. Originally paid £15 for delivery and had to pay another £3 to return it. Also you have to pay for the vouchers just to get a bit of a discount. I don’t recommend. Keep your money in your pocket and search for your outfit somewhere else.

I Recently ordered 6 bridesmaids dress. I needed to exchange over the sizes of a couple to then see they charge a restock fee. I’ve never heard of this before and I’m not impressed. I am exchanging the size not asking for a refund so it’s a bit insulting to charge someone a restock fee considering you’re already spending so much money. It’s usual for a company to do this. I did use the try before you but they still charge you to try the dresses on and don’t always have the colour you want in your size so you are being charged regardless. Some of my dresses also arrived without clear straps and some had them. Dresses are a nice quality but will still have to get them altered due to them being tight round the back but still baggy round the chest area- not sure why.
