Like so many people I was concerned about ordering from JJ's House once I read the negative reviews. I was looking for a bespoke prom dress for my daughter (off the peg sizing causing us a few difficulties). The options seemed to be to spend £400 at a UK based establishment or take a punt on an online establishment based abroad.
At first we spent £20 on getting 3 "Try on at home" dresses. These dresses arrived promptly and we had no problem sending them back after we had finished with them. We were then given a discount if we ordered a "to keep" dress which basically refunded us our £20 fee.
We ordered a custom sized dress. The dress arrived quickly and was good quality. The dress fit reasonably well and my daughter is very happy. The entire process, with postage, ended up costing us £115 which felt like a bargain when you consider the other options.

The dresses were fine but I am now trying to dispute a bill from fedex trying to charge me some type of duty taxes on the shipment and there was no mention of this. I paid JJHouse for shipping already and now this? And I cannot get ahold of anyone at either JJ house or fedex to resolve this

JJ’s house strikes again. After a previous rocky experience with them I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt and order my moms fascinator from them for my wedding day, as she really liked the style. We had high hopes for this item… how could you get it wrong?
Well unfortunately the poor quality of JJ’s House’s products shines through again as the item arrived crammed into a plastic bag and several of the feathers are broken. An utter waste of time and money. Pictures provided as proof on review on their site.

The try before you buy service is not as money saving as it seems, as when you return the dresses (which are £10 each to try on) you don’t get any money back. They say this is to cover postage, but when you order several dresses to try in different colours / sizes for bridesmaids and you get absolutely zero refund for the ones you return - they are absolutely making money from this and it is not to cover postage.
The dresses all ran either very small, fit weird in weird places, or were threading. For the price being charged for these dresses, you can order far better quality dresses from elsewhere.
I also ordered a small item from them at the start of the month and it hasn’t even got past the ‘payment received’ stage.
All in all, I wouldn’t recommend this company unfortunately.

I ordered two dresses. The material quality is good and the designs are super cute, but the way the dresses cut and fit is WILD. I’m a very boring standard size 10 figure, never have any issues, but these dresses were just bizarre. Way too large in some places but then tiny in others. I don’t know what shape of human they would fit to be honest. A shame as the pictures are so good.

Beware the re-stocking fees. This is a not a normal retailer and you will be charged to return and not receive a full refund for your items as they are 'made to order' colour differ between styles, I did only need 1 dress so that was not a huge issue to me, but the cost of having to return the ones I didn't choose, I can see now why so many people are selling privately because it is not worth trying to return,

We paid to try on several of the sample dresses and ordered one we liked based on the fit and quality of the sample. What arrived was not of the same quality or correct size. They made us pay to return and restocking fee for their bait and switch and I still do not have the refund weeks later.

The dress itself is pretty but the shipping took over 2 weeks and they sent me a size 6 when I ordered a size 2. The seamstress confirmed. It cost me more to have the dress altered then it cost for the actual dress because there wasn't enough time to send for the right size.

The dress arrived with a big black stain on the back that won't come off.
Unfortunately, it was a custom order so I can't return it. The quality of the chiffon was also disappointing. Fortunately, it was relatively cheap. I've read reviews that the quality is hit or miss. Mine is definitely a miss.

I ordered 3 dresses to compare sizes. 1 was in the sale. Badly made and couldnt be worn as ‘bones’ were twisted. No refund.

Cell made they didn’t suit. Returning was a nightmare and I lost £60.00 in the transactions. I don’t know of any other company that retains so much money for stock items. Not to be used again.

Sorry I can only give a 2. I received my long awaiting dress and jacket today and I have to say I am really disappointed. It was packed in the smallest box in a bag which was like a freezer bag. It was so crumpled when I took it out. I am not overly impressed with the quality the material feels a little cheap. I did try to cancel my order after reading bad reviews but I was going to lose all my money as it had gone over the acceptable time. I won’t be sending it back as again from what I have read I am going to lose a lot of what I have paid for it and it wasn’t cheap. Maybe put it on Vinted and cut my losses. On the positive I do have to add the customer services reps are fantastic and very helpful
