Best crypto tax tool I've used so far

After switching from CoinTracking, I can safely say Koinly is a game-changer. It’s my second year with them and the experience has been seamless. The interface is much more intuitive and the whole process is way more direct than other tools I've tried. It saves me a lot of time and stress. Highly recommended!

Not good for Orca

So I have a lot of Liquidity Providing transactions in both in Meteora, Orca and other platforms. Koinly's software is just plain bad when it comes to these types of transactions. For Orca LP's in the support section it simply says "fix an NFT purchase, you just need to locate the withdrawal of the spent coins in your wallet and merge it with the NFT deposit." Think about having to do this for hundreds of transaction. The point of having tax software is to make my tax simpler not to have to double check every transaction. The fees they charge should be totally refunded to anyone who has a lot of LP's.

Horrible app and customer service

Horrible app and customer service. I've submitted a request, and they can only respond by email. I get one email every 2-3 days... and getting resolved answers around tax sensitive data can not wait 2 days between asking a question and getting a response. I'd not pay anything for this. This is the second year in a row I've had to swallow a problem from them and use another software as an alternative to fix the problems that Koinly can't help with. Who designs a service... but doesn't give service to it's customers?? The chat bot is BEYOND USELESS, don't even try.

Very expensive, poor imports, awful support

Very expensive, and not honest about pricing. Doesn't fully import all transactions, so there's still a bunch of manual work. You can get the same functionality for much cheaper, or better functionality for a bit cheaper! Edit: Despite Koinly's response, and reaching out to their support, I've still go nowhere, other than wasting my time. Their support is awful - if I could lower my rating with this update, I would!

Easy Tax FIX Tool

I like using koinly so far

I like how it pulls data, makes things easier, i am still exploring but so far i find it useful for my reconciliation purposes. But i would like to see some more chain additions like Rari chain, zero network and many caldera related chains, other than that so far so good. Will update the review once i use it fully.

Network issues on two devices with two browsers on each. What an absolute joke of a website. If you can't log in, that's the point?! Could log in with Google account...but my existing account is not with Google email! Just get your log in system working or go away. Oh you're deleting negative reviews! I understand why your trustpilot is looking good....you're great at hiding the truth

I can't even login

I can't even login. You need to login to even get help. The AI isn't helpful. Tried multiple browsers. Just get network errors. Ive heard its fantastic.

Koinly made my crypto taxes way easier…

Koinly made my crypto taxes way easier than I expected. It automatically pulled in my transactions, fixed missing data issues, and gave me clear reports I could actually understand. Huge time saver compared to doing it manually. Definitely worth it if you’re dealing with a lot of trades.

Koinly hit transaction limit immediately, couldn't handle my obscure chain crypto & NFTs, and is refusing a refund

I switched from CoinTracker to Koinly hoping the higher transaction limits would handle my complex crypto portfolio, which includes most of my holdings on an obscure chain plus various NFTs with special tax stipulations. After spending hours importing everything, I was asked to upload my 1099's after receiving all of them and uploading them I immediately received a message that I had exceeded my account’s transaction limit. On top of that, Koinly was unable to accurately pull or calculate the data from my obscure chain and NFTs, leaving major gaps and errors. There was 23 pages of manual corrections required. I tried generating the TurboTax form just to see what TurboTax would spit out but it would spit anything since it was saying I exceeded my limit and need to upgrade from my 200$ package to 599 packages. I’ve now decided to hire a live professional CPA instead and requested a full refund since I cannot use the service for my taxes. CoinTracker issued a refund right away with no issues, yet Koinly has kept me messaging AI bots for days just to reach a human, and they are still refusing to refund the money for a service I did not receive given I can't even do my taxes since it won't generate or let me download anything. I’m extremely disappointed and suggest you look elsewhere and if your situation is complicated look for a crypto CPA because these guys are not it. Edit: Looks like the right way is to send them an email explaining your situation: Thanks to Carl for reaching out. So, updating my rating. However, my views regarding the AI auto responses and auto denying my refund still stands. I think it would probably be best option for most people with straight forward crypto situations and some more well know obscure crypto exchanges.
