The Key blanks I ordered did not fit my BMW Motorcycle, though is not entirely Locksmith Keyless' fault. BMW replacement keys are notoriously difficult ... the dealers make it impossible with exorbitant prices. My cycle is manufactured in India, possibly a factor, but BMW m/c's lock sets are worldwide in use. It would take a genius to figure out how to work this problem out. The blanks I received were ILCO, a common replacement key for 1000's of locks I've used many times. Somewhere in their system is the key that fits my cycle. It'll just take some extra effort by someone who really cares. My locksmith, Roadrunner in Tucson went to great lengths to search this out ... unsuccessfully. This is a common problem with European manufactured cars and motorcycles.

Items that don't work

Updated per return experience. Initially: Waste of time - pictures are wrong. Their description says its Toyota OEM and all their specs are a carbon copy of Toyota's exact specs. The only problem is the fob is clearly neither Toyota OEM and apparently the specs are just false. They should neither stock nor sell this item. Or if they took some manufacturer's "word for it" they should know better. I've done marketing in the retail industry for 25 years. Merchandising should never have even stocked this item. Their page on instructions for how to program key fob literally just says "We are constantly working on improving this website and making more programming instructions available" and has no actual instructions. Want to update to address their response here: They did initially deflect and suggest the issue is with the local automotive locksmith. Which is amazing, since I'm working with an enormous high volume automotive locksmith who are helping dozens of people a week properly getting their backup fobs programmed properly. Toyota requires registration to program, which the locksmith I am working with understands and has been doing for 10+ years. If you sell something that doesn't work, it's not the other vendor's problem, it is YOU knowingly selling something that has NO chance to work, which not only wastes your time, my time, but now an automotive locksmith's time. Why even stock something that is only liability? I do give high marks for customer service otherwise. They did fully refund in my case, but be warned their policy has a restocking fee. This mitigates my experience, but I still stand by the comment that it was frankly a waste of time, although ultimately not a waste of money.

Bad experience with Locksmith Keyless

Bad experience with Locksmith Keyless. I paid $21 for a key fob, but nowhere during the purchase process was it made clear that it would also need to be programmed separately. After receiving it, I called local locksmiths and found out they charge around $85 just to program it, which makes the “cheap” key fob much more expensive than expected. When I tried to return it, I was told I would be charged a 30% restocking fee and also have to pay for return shipping. That is unfair, especially when the important programming requirement was not clearly disclosed upfront. I feel this was misleading and ended up being a waste of money. Buyers should be warned that the advertised price is not the true cost, and returning the item comes with extra penalties.

We sincerely apologize for this confusion but we have this information listed in our site and in different places before checking out, Please understand we can not send a key programmed already for a vehicle, otherwise everybody will get their vehicles stolen. We have this message under every key that we sell We do not cut or program keys at our warehouse. Please contact your local locksmith here for pricing. ----------------------

Buyer beware

Buyer beware. Read the fine print. I had to send two keys back and charged a 30% restocking fee - seriously? Highest I have ever seen. My first key I used their search engine and order the key that came up. Wrong key. Worked with Customer Service to order the key I needed. It had the exact item description of my vehicle to the T. Guess what, she told me the wrong key. They didn't even have my key. Yet I am expected to know all the technical information, but customer service who recommended the 2nd key I purchased is not. Little of no help. Do yourself a favor. Find a local locksmith you can talk to so you don't get duped by these clowns. Cost me $70+dollars and still no key. Thanks for nothing.

An honest review.

An honest review. After multiple emails and waiting over a month my replacement smart keys and smart key fobs arrived. Then I first took the smart key they sent for my 2006 F150 HD Edition classic truck to Ace Hardware they had match my old key. I then tried the new smart key in the ignition of my F150. The key would turn in the ignition ok, but the truck would not start up. I went back in to see the Key Tech at Ace Hardware. He put the new smart key in his key computer to verify the smart key program was in the new smart key they sent me. His equipment confirmed the new start key had a program in it. After several attempts of trying to get the new smart key to start my truck. The key Tech at Ace Hardware said he could not get this new smart key to work in my truck. He then said I need to go to a lock Smith. He said the lock Smith has different key programing equipment. Ok now I drive to the local lock Smith. After several attempts. The lock Smith says this key is what they call a clone key for multiple programs. He says he can not make it work for my Year and Model Truck. I then ask the Lock Smith if he had the correct smart key in-stock for my Truck. The Lock Smith replied yes I have one left in-stock now. I paid the lock Smith $135.00 for the correct smart key for my F150 HD edition classic truck and he also programed the new smart key fob I purchased from LockSmithKeeless.com. The smart Key and smart Key Fob I purchased from the local Lock Smith work perfect. The smart Key I purchased from locksmithKeyless.com does not work. I tossed it in my junk drawer. More trouble than it is worth to try and return it to locksmithkeyless.com. They did not tell me the smart keys and or the smart key fobs you order from the locksmithkeyless.com website have to cut and or programed by a lock Smith. To work with your vehicle. Save your time and money. Just get your replacement smart keys and smart fobs from a lock Smith. A lot less headache! This is an honest and true review from a customer. Lord Dragoni
