Unprofessional and unreliable banking. Stay away.

It's funny that mercury invited me to leave a review right when they decide to terminate my account after 5 years of using them as my main bank. They first started to restrict my debit card in a very random list of country ( even included some EU country) including the one I live in while telling me my credit card will keep working there. Then they also restricted my credit card in that list. Then they, one year later asked me why I was there and told me they had to terminate my account. They unilateraly changed their own compliance for unknown reason then kicked my company out which have been using them for 5 years with high 6 figures incoming and outgoing transactions. So if you plan on having some reliable banking you should run away from mercury. As they just change the rules whenever they please and kick you out for no reason.

Closed my account before the date…

Closed my account before the date stated. Mercury sent me an email to inform I had to update some information by the 05th of August, but closed my account 2 weeks prior. Unacceptable, and so unprofessional

Honestly just like a lot of other companies that claim they are"Tech" this one is no different. To call their customer service JUNKY is doing wrong to JUNKY. As much as i hate the traditional brick and mortar banks this one has all of their flaws plus more...I would say avoid at all cost

I do not recommend Mercury. I opened a business account based on my accountant's recommendation. Since the process went smoothly, I also opened a personal account to keep some personal expenses separate. Then, without warning, Mercury closed both accounts. While I understand they have the right to close accounts and may choose not to disclose the reason, the way they handled my funds was unacceptable. At the time of the closure, I had an incoming transfer. Instead of rejecting the transaction immediately, Mercury accepted it into the process and then informed me that I would have to wait 7–10 business days to receive my own money back by check. What made the situation even more frustrating is that there is no customer service phone number to call. Everything has to be handled through online support or email, making it very difficult to get timely answers or speak with someone when you have an urgent issue involving your money. That is a very frustrating experience. If the accounts were going to be closed, the transfer should have been rejected immediately instead of holding my funds. This experience reminded me why traditional banks still have an advantage. Low fees and a modern online platform mean very little if customer service, communication, and the handling of your money are poor. Unfortunately, my experience with Mercury was disappointing from start to finish.

I don’t think I’ll keep my business with your company I have sent a wire out on Friday last week as of today never received it in my account I get the rundown it’s in review I am sick and tired off the bad business no real reason no explanation of a reason no time they can give me this very stressful for me that’s how I do my living I never experienced anything like that and I have been doing this for a long time this why your business is bad

I really like the ease of working with the bank. the system has been set up for a super friendly customer experience.

I had a business account with them and…

I had a business account with them and tried depositing a check that a customer gave me for services rendered. And unbeknownst to me the check ended up being a fraudulent/stolen check and of course the funds didn't go through. So what happens... I lose out on $4800 worth of revenue, my account gets closed and reported to Early Warning and to top it off, an automated ACH went through to the Mercury account over a week after it was closed on June 8th and they sent me a check saying it was gonna be 2 weeks until I get the check for it. Its now July 21st and Im still waiting on it. Mercury Bank... where even if you're the victim, they'll punish you like the criminal and then tell you that they don't have to tell you why and that all decisions were final. If you have the same problem I do, call an attorney and have him send them a letter requesting your money, PLUS interest. They'll pay it because it will cost them more to fight it and besides that, they would charge you and probably already are anyway. My advice.. Stay very far away from this bank. PS.. there's no phone number you can call and email responses take 5-7 days to respond. This bank is a joke. And if proof is needed for this. I've got it all. And I will be going around to every review site on the internet to tell my story about Mercury.
