I wanted to make a graphic novel out of the homebrew DnD stories that my children (5 and 7 y.o.) and I have been playing. Mixam made it simple to get a professional quality, soft-touch graphic-novel. I love how our wedding programs came out. The finishing was amazing. I will say it was much more complicated setting it up one by one versus attaching a full pdf. If you upload your photos one by one putting them in booklet order gets confusing. Once I downloaded the full pdf it worked out much better. I will definitely use Mixam again. Prices are affordable and they have a range of printing selections.
The website is really clear and easy to navigate. I did have a question, so I left a message and someone called me back the very next day. By then, I had all the answers I needed. We can see that our Care Team is already working with you to help get to the bottom of this. This is likely related to the conversion from RGB artwork to CMYK for printing. Very pale colours with a low percentage of ink can sometimes be too light to reproduce clearly once printed, rather than this being a printing error. We’d be happy to provide some guidance on increasing the CMYK percentages so the cream reproduces more reliably. Second time printing with them as an artist/zinester and I love the quality and unbeatable price per quantity! There was a printing error where half of my order came out with the cover backwards, and Mixam swiftly reprinted and delivered to me upon request. The matte anti scuff cover is impressively durable (a bit pricier too but I’d say worth it). My first zine was easily scratch-able without it, so appreciate there’s different options. Perfect for independent publishers, and they work with artists to promote their stuff on the Mixam insta which is always a bonus!

I did not receive the book in time for a huge presentation. I was not told the book would be late. Apparently the place that prints the books does not communicate with the office that took my book order. Your man Scott is fabulous BTW....

I made a memorial book for someone who passed and it turned out lovely! I was a little apprehensive initially since I hadn't heard of this company and couldn't find to much online about them, but I did everything in canva and uploaded and printed through mixam and I couldn't be happier with the results! I will definitely use them in the future! The only thing to take note of is that the shipment dates might change, so if you need something ASAP that might be frustrating. For me it was fine because I didn't need the product by a certain date.

Excellent pricing - they made my project affordable for my limited budget. Printing was great - I have only found one page in all of the books with a bit of a smear. Shipping takes time, so allow for wiggle room in delivery, but as long as you are not in a rush, this is the place to get printing done!
The interface to upload pages and organize was a little clunky, but I got through it and the prints came out better than expected! I will continue to use Mixam for future projects! Good value and great product.
I had a very poor experience with this company. My book was delivered late and when received late had multiple printing and layout issues. The customer service was appalling and had real trouble talking to a human. Take your business elsewhere. They did refund me (sort of - credit) but hard pass on using again.

Mixam’s website is very easy to use and is well laid out. Products, prices, and information were all accessible and understandable. If you want to print something on demand or a small batch or products for yourself this is a very stress free way to do it.
I was very worried that my manga would come late or production would be very slow, but that was the opposite of my experience! I was on a time crunch but everything came on time!! The ordering process allows us to play around with different options and shows the cost impact immediately, helping me make good decisions on number of copies etc. The Quality of the books was excellent, the paper, the binding, the colors etc. All in all, a great first time experience

I tried several other vendors for printing a small hardcover book that I had designed in InDesign, and they were all nightmares. Terrible user experiences, hideous websites, no way to upload pre-designed pdfs, limited size options, customer support calls with very dumb people that kept getting disconnected...you get the idea. The Mixam experience was a dream. I found clear, helpful templates and specs (that included custom spine width!) and easily uploaded my pdfs. The preview tool worked perfectly. And when I had a question I spoke with a very helpful, smart support person. The books arrived even earlier than expected and my client was thrilled.
Mixam should post a warning to unsuspecting customers in big bold letters on their website to avoid future conflicts, lawsuits and bad reviews: "We would not be able to adjust your artwork for you. We don't do any type of design. What you submit is what you get. We don't do refunds or care. Make sure your artwork is extended to the green trim line. Otherwise you'll be sorry when your shipment arrives and find an unpleasant surprise."

The artwork supplied and confirmed for printing included the large white borders, which were clearly visible in the online preview when the order was checked and approved for printing. While we don’t automatically alter customers’ artwork, we do provide extensive guidance in our in line Support pages, a dedicated customer service team, and free online design tools to help customers prepare their files before confirming an order.
