Took my money but never sent my contacts. When I called back they stated they needed a different prescription and had sent emails to me requesting the prescription for contacts. The only email I received was that my contacts had been ordered. Nothing else. When I called to see what the problem was they told me they could call my doctor to verify. Now I am over a week out from the day I ordered and waiting on them to authorize. To me, they should have contacted my doctor earlier and sent me correspondence to let me know. Now I am at the mercy of Opticontacts. I would not recommend this company. Go through 1-800-contacts or something similar because they authorize directly instead of waiting on someone to call and complain before contacting the doctor. Never again.

Worst contact lens distributor around

Worst contact lens distributor around. It takes them weeks to deliver when it takes most other distributors a few days. They will refuse to refund/reimburse and give you the runaround. AVOID!

User beware

User beware of this company’s GOTCHA fee tacked on at checkout. They even acknowledge that the practice is dishonest but instead of remain competitive they choose to surprise customers with a “processing” fee at checkout. Do better.

Bad costumer service

I ordered 4 boxes per left and right…

I ordered 4 boxes per left and right eye each and received 5 boxes of contacts for my left eye and 3 boxes for my right eye.

Slight of hand

I ordered some contacts that said free shipping. Then you go through whole process and the last step adds a “handling fee””. That is just another way to charge shipping. It was$13.90. So you are charging me that just to pull a box off the shelf and drop it in another box, which is still part of the shipping process by the way.

They signed me up for recurring contact…

They signed me up for recurring contact orders without my knowledge or consent. Their prices are decent and shipping is relatively quick but I can’t use a service who will abuse my saved credentials when I have not authorized them to charge my card.

The discounts are a sight saver. Actually affordable contacts, re-ordering is beyond easy, and super fast service.

Can You Believe This!

Placed an order, sent prescriptions. The refused to complete the order unless I sent multiple pictures of the front and back of my credit card and drivers license. They claim the billing address was incorrect, it is not. Who in their right mind would send private documents and pictures of their CREDIT CARD to any random retailer that asks for it? In lieu of those docs I sent them the page from my credit card statement showing their charge and asked if that was acceptable. Instead they cancelled my order. OK there are loads of other retailers out there, not a huge deal. I said fine, refund me and; you're not going to believe this, they then refused to refund my payment that they had immediately processed. SAY WHAT? They cancelled my order although the billing address was correct, they had prescriptions and a copy of my credit card statement showing their charge but now for some unfathomable reason they were going to keep the money as well? I'm completely dumbfounded. There are a ton of contact lens companies out there, I'd suggest like me you find one that's not entirely dysfunctional.

The bait and switch tactics

The bait and switch tactics used on their website are shameful. And the final step of shipping, I was charged 2 1/2 times the value of my original order. Don’t be fooled by their stupid advertisements, opticontacts.com is a ripoff.

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT

After processing my order, the website mentioned that I would have to wait 2-4 weeks for my benefits to be applied and for a refund. I tried to cancel this before it was processed due to false advertising. Tony from Opticontacts.com said that they have forwarded my cancelation request to their supplier, once we receive a confirmation from that that the order was canceled you will also receive a confirmation email for that and for the refund, however if they are not able to cancel the order in time you will receive a prepaid return label separately so you can return the boxes back to us for a full refund. I advised him that their website states that the cancellation information states that if the order has not yet been fully processed or shipped, there may be an option to cancel it. When my order was submitted, I called to cancel within minutes. Tony from Opticontacts.com said that the order was already in progress with their supplier, they will try to stop that for me, and if it is not too late, they will send you a confirmation email in regards to the cancellation and a confirmation of the refund. It takes 24 hours for the supplier to respond. PLEASE ORDER THROUGH YOUR BENEFITS PROVIDER AND WELL-KNOWN COMPANIES.

BAIT AND SWITCH

This company advertises an incredible price for contact lenses. Once you enter all your information and attempt to process, they tack on a large "service fee" and the lenses end up costing more than other local and advertised online companies.

Total bait and switch

Total bait and switch. Advertised my contacts at $57.95 per box which was much cheaper than competitors and then once I entered all my info including address, it added not only a shipping fee of $13 but a "processing fee" of 115.90, essentially doubling the price of the contacts! This is misleading, dishonest, and should be illegal!

My first thought was...

My first thought was, "this has got to be a scam." The prices were just too good. But why not try. I was absolutely blown away... I was particularly unhelpful (not taking them seriously at first) and made several mistakes with my information. They were unbelievably patient and helpful and went and TRACKED DOWN MY PRESCRIPTION FOR ME! I didn't even have the name of my optometrist and they were able to figure it out. I have not been so delighted by customer service maybe ever in my life. I thought this was going to be a huge headache but they made it the simplest thing in the world. Many, many thanks! I would give ten stars if I could.

Good customer service

There was a mix up in the beginning but it was quickly resolved and I appreciated their respect of my time. They are very competitively priced in spite of their processing fee.
