In the time I have been working on completing this course, I am very much impressed with the quality and functionality of this website and all the features it presents. A lot has clearly gone into the making of this website alone, up to date information is in the course and the video lectures are updated frequently. I feel confident in reviewing this material that I have been given for passing the PTCE and achieve my national certification. I also had my own personal life get in the way of studying for this, in October of 2024 I was affected by a natural disaster and unfortunately lost my car for three and a half months, along with my grandfather passing away following my car being repaired. I lost a lot of time to complete this course, and upon mentioning it to Dr. Emmel, he granted me a complimentary 6 month extension due to my circumstances. Without that I would not have been able to finish on time, and so I greatly thank Dr. Emmel for this and it is a reflection of the man behind the course and what all has been put into this to help those wanting to become pharmacy technicians. I also like the weekly lectures where you can join in with other participants of the course to ask live questions and get assistance with any areas they might be lacking in. Overall a very thorough course and study guide with up to date information.

I really enjoyed being able to complete the course online. The lectures were informative and easy to follow. Taking exams at the end of each course allowed for me to be able to have a full understanding of what I was learning. Being able to connect with the instructor at any time was comforting The course was not easy however it was presented in a way that allowed for me to learn and be successful in completing. I was happy to know that I could complete it on my own time and was able to extend the time I needed. Thank you!

Haven’t finished the course yet, But I can tell quite an effort was put into it. The interactive learning activities is the best part about it in my opinion. Free access to a bunch of textbooks beside the lectures was also very useful. The lectures are very well structured and easy to follow through. I’m glad I chose this course to get my qualification.

I have over 10 years experience as a pharmacy tech and I have already passed the PTCE in the past and I still learned alot from this course. I took it as a refresher before I take the PTCE again as I let it lapse 7 years ago.

The course is very thorough and acknowledges aspects of the job not covered on the PTCB. The instructor is also good at teaching overall and acknowledges issues within the industry and struggles patients may face, which isn't done enough.

This self paced program is really great. I am changing careers and have very little experience with pharmacy procedures. 4.5 Overall it was a good experience. Set you own pace, good advice and good example scenarios. The more difficult modules for me were the medidcations and math. Which he said it would be for most so it took more time. For the medication names I'm looking for some matching games instead of flash cards, might have to make my own at home. I did enjoy the one crossword puzzle in the beginning of the course it was good practice. With the math word problems, I feel like seeing example objects could have helped with understanding it a little better. Only because, I'm someone taking the course with no experience in the work environment. Thank you for giving me the needed knowledge.

If you are looking to pursue a career or strengthen your knowledge in the pharmacy workplace, Pharmacy Tech Scholar is without a doubt a great place to start. It is very affordable compared to tuition of 2 years at Jr. College. I love that the course is online and didactic. This allows me to create my own study schedule as I am very busy with work and family life. The curriculum is very comprehensive, challenging and very straight forward. Dr. Emmel has put together a superb program together. I appreciate his strong desire to see his students succeed into the field of Pharmacology. I know through this course I will have the confidence and knowledge I need passing to pass the exam.
