I have been a loyal customer of CERTIFIED PIEDMONTESE GRASS FINISHED BEEF for years, and my family considers it the best beef available. The quality is consistently exceptional, making it our go-to choice for premium, grass-finished beef. It's shipped to Mesa, Arizona (110° Summers) with only minimal partial thawing of an exterior pack. Still fine for refreezing or eating. I don't even grill anymore-we like it pan seared. My daily staples are the 93/7 ground, stir fry, steak tips, stew beef, sirloin fillets, flat iron, Bavette and new york. Great quality, great customer service, great nutrition, and by far the best tasting beef I've ever had.
They sent me semi frozen bison with the freeze by date of 5/8/2026 when I placed the order on 5/23/2026. 40lbs of ground bison that wouldn't be sold in grocery stores. I have ordered previously from Force of nature and Family Pride meats with all sell by dates at least 6 months after the order date. If they are supposed to be the actual farmer why is the meat not sellable fresh to a grocery store? Extremely disappointed in this $500 purchase

Just a quick clarification: "Use By or Freeze By" dates are not expiration dates.
This dating system is commonly used throughout the food industry for products intended to be sold fresh at grocery stores and retail locations. The date serves as a quality guideline, indicating when the product should be used or frozen to maintain optimal freshness. It is not an indication that the product becomes expired or unsafe after that date.
For products sold on our website, any items carrying a "Use By or Freeze By" date are blast frozen immediately after production and well before that date arrives. This rapid freezing process preserves the product at peak freshness and effectively pauses the freshness clock until the product is thawed.
Additionally, the products we source and sell online are produced specifically for our frozen direct-to-consumer program. They are frozen shortly after production and are not previously displayed or sold as fresh retail products before being offered on our website.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience ordering from this company. I spent nearly $280 on chicken, and when it arrived it tasted strongly like fish. After only a few bites, I became sick and ended up throwing up.
What made the situation even worse was the company’s response. Instead of taking responsibility, offering a refund, or replacing the order, they only offered me a discount code for a future purchase — after I had already gotten sick from their product. They also refused to provide proper documentation regarding the issue.
For the amount of money I spent, I expected much better quality and customer service. I would not recommend ordering from this company based on my experience.
We have been a customer of Piedmontese.com for many years buying for ourselves and others. Up to this point we have been mostly satisfied until today's order arrived. The box was literally open, all the ice was gone and everyone of the 36 packages was filthy covered in a muddy dust. Thank goodness the temperature was mild and everything was in a partial frozen state. Piedmontese needs to do better job securing their boxes and putting in sufficient ice. I'm afraid this will be my last order after spending thousands of dollars with this company and being a loyal supporter of their products.

The problem was not UPS other than they could have taped up the box. The box was not damaged, the bottom of the box had one piece of tape that broke so UPS flipped the box upside down. So the box was open allowing dust from 10 miles of dirt roads to infiltrate the box and contents. Also the ice was now on the bottom of the box rendering it ineffective. However what was the original top of the box had been completely sealed shut with tape. Had whoever packed the box put sufficient tape on the bottom of the box and a lable stating which side is up so the ice would be more effective all would have been well. Fortunately the products had not completely defrosted and I was able to clean the individual packages and get them into the freezer. Hopefully the quality is not impacted.
I'm just very disappointed that Piedmontese.com didn't do an adequate packaging job. As much as I would like to blame UPS I can't other than they could have resealed the box.
