What people say

I am waiting for withdrawal to happen…

I am waiting for withdrawal to happen for 3 days now... Nothing fancy, pretty small withdrawal between 1K and 10K USDT. The ticket is #202607070057014161052179, but all support says is "please wait more". Account is not new, maybe 8 years old... Advanced KYC... I know they will reply something like: "Thank you for your patience. We sincerely apologize for the delay and understand your frustration. Please be assured that we are actively following up on your case and are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible." But it just goes nowhere. Good exchange it was. But no more. One star then. The only thing left is to hope they will let me my crypto savings back. Or will they? Or maybe it is just a scammer exit? There is no agency to ask to protect you, I am alone in this. Avoid it. Never try it. Tell everyone you know to avoid it, close the account and never come back. It discredited itself. Poloniex is owned by Justin Sun, but it only makes Tron look scammy too. Maybe Tron can do exit-scam too? Who knows? Greedy Justin. He is always looking into other peoples pockets. He belongs to jail, thats why he is hiding. Never deal with this guy. He does not have honor, only greed and lies. Should I file police report? Maybe contact Interpol? Is it worth it? Will they help to return my crypto back? How about closing the account? Or in this case they will just take my humble savings and block me? This problem is making me to loose all hope in crypto. It is devastating. The world is becoming too complex. Poloniex makes it only worse. It needs to cease operations. Stop fooling people. UPDATE: After 25 days of "actively following up on your case" Poloniex finally withdrew the amount. Never again. Avoid.

We understand how concerning this experience has been, and we appreciate your patience throughout the process. In your case, the withdrawal triggered our routine security checks due to security alerts. These checks are in place to help protect user accounts and assets, and in some cases they may require additional review before a withdrawal can be processed. Our support team has been actively following up on your case, and we're glad to confirm that your withdrawal has now been successfully processed and completed. We apologize for the delay and any inconvenience it caused. If you have any further questions or need assistance in the future, please don't hesitate to contact our official customer support, we're always here to help. Thank you for your understanding.

KYC forced, a lot of money effectively frozen

After years of use with no issues, many transactions, and probably a few thousand dollars transferred, the platform decided to enforce ID verification without a warning. Now almost a year of my earnings are stuck on my account as the Poloniex app refuses to accept my perfectly valid national ID. I suspect it's because it's not in English, but you never know. The support team has been almost mocking me with its generic messages copied and pasted more than once. The only reason I kept anything on Poloniex to begin with is that it has a 10% APY program for USDT, but what is that worth now that my whole livelihood is under threat because of what can also be described as blatant theft on their part?

I am extremely disappointed with my…

I am extremely disappointed with my experience using Poloniex. I used my Poloniex account to fund my trading broker. Due to a technical issue on the broker's side, the deposit failed, and the broker confirmed that the funds were refunded back to my Poloniex account. They provided me with the refund transaction ID and confirmed that the transaction had been successfully completed. Its been a whole month . However, the refunded funds have still not appeared in my Poloniex account. I have contacted Poloniex support multiple times and provided every document they requested, including the original deposit details and the refund transaction ID. Despite this, the issue remains unresolved. I have received slow responses with no clear explanation, no meaningful progress, and no estimated timeframe for resolution. Having customer funds remain inaccessible for such a long period is unacceptable. I expected a much higher level of customer service from a major cryptocurrency exchange. I sincerely hope Poloniex investigates this matter immediately and credits my funds. Until this issue is resolved, I cannot recommend this platform to anyone who expects reliable support and timely handling of account-related issues.

Withdrawals stuck on "Reviewing" and support pushing "verification" via an emailed link — is this legitimate?

I have held a verified, self-funded account on Poloniex for years. Smaller TRX withdrawals have always processed normally — one cleared yesterday without any issue. On 30 June 2026 I submitted three TRX withdrawals (50, 99 and 999) and all three have been stuck on "Reviewing" for over [15] hours with no transaction ID. What concerns me: both your live chat and emails from support are now telling me I must "complete verification" by clicking a link and using the app before the withdrawal will be released. The verification link in multiple emails contains the identical token, and your chat agent at first could not even confirm whether those emails were genuinely from your team. A legitimate exchange does not require identity verification through an emailed link to release a customer's own funds — KYC is done inside the logged-in account. Either your support channel is compromised, or this needs urgent clarification. Ticket reference: 202606300554374161318110. Please either clear the hold or state exactly what in-account action is required. For the record: I will not click any emailed link, install anything from a link, or pay any fee.

Unresolved asset recovery (2000 USDT…

Unresolved asset recovery (2000 USDT worth of NEAR). Ticket #[202606142115013845532890] I accidentally deposited NEAR tokens via the BSC network to my Poloniex address. The total amount is significant — around 2000 USDT. Support automatically closed my ticket, claiming "technical limitations". However, the funds are physically secure on the BSC address controlled by Poloniex. I am fully ready to pay any administrative or technical fee for manual recovery. Please escalate my ticket to a senior engineer or technical supervisor.

Reply from Poloniex2026-06-18

Thank you for reaching out and for providing the details of your case. We understand your concern regarding the misplaced deposit and appreciate the importance of the funds involved. After reviewing the information, we would like to clarify that the asset in question is NEAR deposited via the BEP20 (BSC) network, which is currently not a supported deposit asset/network combination on Poloniex. Due to technical and operational limitations, our team is unable to process recovery requests for this type of unsupported deposit, including manual recovery requests. We understand this may not be the outcome you were hoping for. However, this limitation applies regardless of the deposit amount or willingness to pay a recovery fee. To help avoid similar situations in the future, we strongly recommend verifying both the supported asset and network on the deposit page before initiating any transfer. Thank you for your understanding. Poloniex Team

The huge gaps between buy and sell…

The huge gaps between buy and sell prices, fake trading. Coins that aren’t traded anywhere else. Very low volume. Being forced to use ridiculously small amounts of money sent as gifts at the market price. Why can’t I enter the price I want? Especially when there’s already such a huge gap.

Reply from Poloniex2026-06-10

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We understand your concerns regarding price spreads, liquidity, and trading experience. Market prices and spreads are influenced by various factors, including liquidity, trading activity, and overall market conditions. We also value feedback on order placement functionality and trading features. Our team is constantly evaluating ways to enhance the trading experience and provide users with greater flexibility and transparency. Poloniex confiscated my money and didn't give it to me.

I wish I had seen this review site sooner and never invested. From what I understand, they constantly seize people's investments. They seized $2100 of my investment. They asked for ID, I sent it; they asked for a video, I sent it; they asked for a screenshot from my wallet, I sent it; they asked for a video from the person who sent the money, I sent that too. They are completely incompetent. Then they asked me to contact other people who sent money to my account and get videos as well. It's pure stupidity. Take my advice, never invest with them. I will write to similar forums in other countries to prove they are scammers and I will also record a video about the process.

Avoid Poloniex like the plague!

Everyone's PAAL is trapped on Poloniex forever as PAAL deposits and withdrawals are permanently frozen for no reason, so there's virtually $0 liquidity to sell it. What an utter embarrassment to the crypto industry! AVOID Poloniex like the plague, unless you want your crypto held hostage forever for literally no reason!

Illegal "Soft Block" and Seizure of $1010 - 12-Year Customer Ignored - Ticket #1841481

have been a loyal and problem-free customer of Poloniex for over 12 years, yet I am being treated like a criminal. Poloniex is practicing "stealth blocking": they credited a $374 transfer to my account, then hours later disabled withdrawals for my ENTIRE balance of over $1010 without any notification. They are holding $636 of my unrelated "clean" assets over a $374 dispute. I have provided video proof and full history, but support (Willy/Yana) keeps repeating impossible requests for 3rd-party data. I filed a Formal Complaint, but they ignored the 48-hour deadline. After 12 years of loyalty, they won't even give me a human response or a "Return to Source" option. This is an unlawful withholding of property. Ticket #1841481. Beware! 16.04.2026 Update: Instead of addressing my formal complaint, they are sending automated emails threatening to close my case if I don't provide the impossible documents. Total lack of human support!» 05.06.2026 UPDATE: Poloniex replied to this review asking me to contact. I did — immediately. No response. No action. No resolution. Their public reply was nothing more than empty words for appearance's sake. My funds remain frozen, Ticket #1841481 remains unresolved. Nothing has changed. UPDATE [06.06.2026]: Formal complaint filed with BaFin (Germany) and BfDI (Germany) due to systematic GDPR violations and unlawful asset freeze without legal basis. Ticket #1841481 remains unresolved after 40+ days. UPDATE [07.07.2026] Filed a formal complaint with the Financial Services Authority of Seychelles (FSA), the regulator responsible for licensing and supervising Poloniex under the Seychelles VASP Act 2024. The complaint documents the disproportionate freeze of unrelated funds, Poloniex's failure to meet its own Formal Complaint Process deadlines (15/35 business days per its own User Agreement), disclosure of my personal data to a third party without consent, and confirmation from Poloniex's own support staff that the legal department does not respond to client correspondence as a matter of policy. Ticket #1841481 remains unresolved. Will update this review with any response from FSA or Poloniex

SCAM ALERT: Holding funds for 11+ Days!

BEWARE! Poloniex is holding my deposit of ~$200 for over 11 days now. The funds are clearly in their hot wallet (confirmed on blockchain), but they refuse to credit my account. Support (Live Chat) is useless. Agents like Ophelia, Colin, and Vivian just lie about "escalating" to a specialist and then close the chat on me. They promise "High Priority" but do nothing. This feels like theft. I am reporting this everywhere until I get my money back. My Ticket ID: #1831342 DO NOT USE THIS EXCHANGE!

Rouge unchecked support agents.

Rouge unchecked support agents. One of them is named "Anzo Huang". If you send in a ticket and the name appears politely ask for a diffrent agent or your account might be compleatly broken. It's best to withdraw and use a more reputable and safer exchange instead.

Poloniex stole customer Dogelon Mars (ELON) tokens.

Poloniex is holding customer funds hostage following the November 2023 hack. Despite owner Justin Sun's promises of 100% security and resumed withdrawals, users with Dogelon Mars (ELON) tokens have been unable to access their assets for over two years. The exchange disabled the ELON wallet entirely and then proceeded to delist the token with an April 2025 deadline, all while the withdrawal function remained broken. Customers were reportedly told their funds would be "archived" and permanently lost after that date. This inaction has effectively stolen millions of dollars in user assets. Poloniex has shown a complete disregard for its users and failed to provide a viable path for recovering assets lost during the breach. Avoid this platform at all costs; your funds are not safe here.
