Power Home Remodeling installed a Pella energy efficient vinyl sliding glass door and horizontal sliding window on a rental property I own to replace old single pane aluminum framed units. From the presentation by the sales representative, to scheduling, pre-installation visit and notifications, through completion of the installation, I was impressed by the professionalism and efficiency of the Power team during entire process. Given the apparent quality of products installed and overall hassle free process, I recommend Power Home Remodeling for window replacement.

Slow Repair Service
The siding Power put on the house a little over a year ago looks fine, but I have had to call them back twice to repair pieces of siding that came loose. This should not happen. The first time, I was pleased that Power sent someone over promptly to repair the damage. I called last week about a similar problem and am very disappointed that I will have to wait about 6 weeks for repair. This is not acceptable to me.

New Windows …
The installation went well and completely satisfied with the windows. Price was a little more than I wanted to pay, but was worth it. One screen was damaged during installation, but immediately scheduled a date to install a new screen. Great warranty included. Great job, and I recommend Power HRG for your remodeling needs.

I hired Power Home Remodeling (PHR) to replace all the windows in my house and two sliding doors. All together it paid approx 23k which I had negotiated down from their original quote of 29k (my house has 15 windows and the two sliding doors). The windows and doors do look nice and they are made by Pella which is a very reputable company, but I can tell you that you will be able to find other contractors that will do the same quality work for a much more affordable price. Here are some of the problems I experienced with PHR:
1) My install date was originally 12/18, but I was called two days prior and told that the manufacturer didn’t have the windows ready. So we rescheduled for two weeks later and the same thing happened again. I know setbacks happen, but the fact that PHR only called two days in advance both times is unacceptable for a company this big. I called multiple times and asked for someone from upper management to reach out. Each time I was told someone would reach out, but never heard back.
2) Day of install:
- the install crew didn’t clean up after themselves. They left messes both in the house and trash outside which is now all over my backyard.
- it’s very hard to communicate with them due to a language barrier
- three of the windows didn’t even open and shut properly. I had to ask the main technician to fix them. For the amount you are paying for windows and doors, the least they could do is check their own work to ensure everything is functional.

Job done in one day. Workers professional. Quality materials and good warranty. My only concern was that there was some sales push to have you sign up for the job immediately for a better price. Didn't follow my gut instinct to get more than one estimate for any work I would normally have done. Hopefully I didn't make a mistake and overpay for a job.

I had a project with Power Home…
I had a project with Power Home Remodeling after being approved for financing, turns out they approved my tenant, they didn’t sign anything and are so upset about it they moved out. I was not approved but they are still trying to make me pay $30,000 upfront or pay a $4,000 cancellation fee. BEWARE!!!
The way I was talked to over the phone, putting the financing under my tenants name, telling us it was signed when she never approved or signed anything, telling me I forged her signature, when it was all signed electronically and was approved for a $100,000 without her or my knowledge, and then telling me there’s a $4000 cancellation fee seems to be a great reason to never do business with your company. I was told financing was approved under my name because I own the house.
I hope this communication problem or whatever shenanigans are happening here don’t keep happening to other people!!! Thanks!!!
