Honest Review

I think Printful is a valuable print‑on‑demand service for clothing brands. I have the option to make the product from home and do most of the work or hire Printful to do most of the work for me to save time. I have options. Integrations are easy to set up and use, and the platform is over all easy to use for beginners. When it's easy, you can get more done on your website.

0/5 — Ordered a custom item, never received it, and Printful refused to take responsibility at every turn

I would give this company 0- stars if I could. I ordered a custom product from Printful for a specific event, with delivery estimated well in advance of that date. It did not arrive on time. When it finally did move, it wasn't delivered to my address at all — it was rerouted to a facility over an hour from my home, where it sat waiting on an unpaid customs fee I was never told about. At no point in this process did Printful notify me of any of the following: that my order wouldn't be delivered to my residence as placed, where it had actually been sent instead, that it had arrived at that location, that it required any action from me to secure it, or how I was supposed to go about doing that. The only reason I found out any of this was happening was because I proactively contacted customer service myself, requesting a refund (weeks after the 'estimated delivery date'). Had I not done that, my order would have simply sat there indefinitely, awaiting customs charges until the package was ultimately destroyed, with Printful fully aware and saying nothing. When I did reach out, the "solution" I was given didn't work—the mechanism they provided to pay the outstanding fee and retrieve the package was non-functional. I contacted Royal Mail directly to try to sort it out myself, only to be told they couldn't accept payment from me at all, and that unclaimed items are held for a limited window before being returned or disposed of—a time period which had not yet lapsed unless Printful was wrong about when the package arrived at the facility. Printful's response to all of this was to refund the shipping fee (a nominal amount of about £11, which was 'refunded' as store-credit) and point me to their terms and conditions. When I pushed further, their customer service rep told me the package had been "made available for collection" — which is simply false. There was no notice, no accessible process for pickup, and no way for me to know the package existed at that location, let alone collect or even identify it. Despite acknowledging that I never received the item and that the mail carrier likely disposed of it by the time I found out what happened, Printful refused to issue a refund for the product itself, hiding behind a "no refunds on custom items" policy that is meant for buyer's remorse, not for a company's own failure to deliver an order or notify a customer that it existed anywhere at all. Printful advertises UK fulfillment as a selling point. My order was instead fulfilled from Latvia, shipped internationally, and left stranded by a customs process I was never given a fair chance to navigate. The company's position, in the end, was that once the box left their warehouse, none of what happened next was their problem — despite the total silence being entirely on their end, not the carrier's. I paid in full for a product I never received, for an event that has now passed, and Printful's final answer was "no refund." If you're looking for a custom-made clothing product, I would suggest Custom Ink or any other provider. I've had great experiences with Custom Ink in the past (both with their design and customer service teams). The only reason we tried Printful for this order was because Custom Ink charges so much for shipping outside the US. But after this experience, I would gladly pay Custom Ink's heightened shipping costs if it means actually receiving the product that I ordered.

They used to care about people

They used to care about people, now they dont offer any discounts for customers who buy frequently. Prices are up and Quality is Garbage to say the least. Only now they have wider selection of garments but that doesnt matter because they are sewn from all around the world. Shipping & Handling prices have gone up and with taxes you will be paying almost 100 euro for 3 tshirts which is just ridicilous. Very dissapointing turnover

Easy to create and publish products. It's also great that Printful easily connects with my Square store.

I wanted to like Printful

I wanted to like Printful, but my experience was frustrating from start to finish. The fact that Printful doesn’t list a customer service phone number on its website seems intentional. After dealing with their support, it’s easy to understand why. Their live chat is painfully slow—it took roughly 45 minutes just to get someone engaged in the conversation. The return process was even worse. I ordered two XL shirts, but they fit more like oversized bed sheets than standard XLs. Instead of making the return simple, support had me take multiple photos of the shirts, then place a tape measure across them and send additional pictures. After all of that, I was transferred to another department through chat and had to explain the entire situation from the beginning. In the end, it felt like a complete waste of $60. Based on my experience, Printful has built a system that makes it unnecessarily difficult to get help or resolve issues. Customer service and returns appear to be treated as obstacles rather than priorities. A company can have a great product, but if it doesn’t stand behind its customers when something goes wrong, that’s a major problem. Buyers beware. I won’t be ordering from Printful again.

If I could give it a 0 star I would

If I could give it a 0 star I would. Firstly, after paying money into their wallet (the only complicated way to pay), it went missing. I opened a ticket (2 hour wait time every time you need to speak to someone!!!). I was told they fdound the error and would refund me. This is now 3 weeks ago. Speaking to support does not help (even after the 2 hour wait for an agent each time!). They do not respond to emails.... and they still have $68 of mine! I had to cancel 4 Etsy orders that were for the 4th of July because of this unresolved issue, and lost a further $90 in profit! Secondly, one of the orders placed before this debacle was so delayed, it arrived at the customer after 4th of July, resulting in a 2 star review in my Etsy store! No communication, no apology from Printful, just silence. To protect your Etsy stores I suggest you stay far away from Printful, they are not who they used to be. There are many small US based businesses who do the same things inhouse and take repsonsibility for their work. In the meantime, Printful STILL has my $68! And of course my Facebook post regarding this in their group is never getting approved. They are absolutely disgusting. Dont walk away from them..... RUN!

Good service with room for improvement

Printful is easy to use and integrates well with Etsy. Most orders are processed efficiently, and the platform is beginner-friendly. However, I've occasionally experienced differences between the uploaded design colors and the final printed product. Overall, it's a good service, but I hope color consistency continues to improve.

I created a personalized Tshirt on printful

I created a personalized Tshirt on printful. I ordered a women’s large. The tshirt was maybe a medium, but closer to a small. The front logo and the back graphic look like patches that were ironed on. Literally the shirt is off white and the patches are a brighter white. The front logo is crocked and has black ink around the right side. The tshirts itself is so thin, you can see through it except where the “graphic patches are”. This was an absolutely horrible product and a waste of money.

I use Printful for my POD stores and love their catalogue, prints and service. There is a great choice and the site is easy to use and keep track of my designs.

Awesome place to create your own designs.

Great site for creating designs. User friendly, lots of variations, colors, sizes, etc.

SLOW and expensive shipping

Every single order from this company is ridiculously slow, they charge premium prices for shipping, and it takes days longer than any shipping should, my current package was supposedly given to the carrier on the second and didn't scan again in the same city until the 7th of July I ordered this June 24th and it won't arrive until July 11th.
