I had acne into my early 30s but have since been dealing mostly with redness, dryness, and blackheads. I've been exploring different brands of skin care but while acne has been kept at bay for the most part, I still have trouble with the redness and dryness. I had great experience with a custom shampoo/conditioner and thought to give Proven a try. I was really intrigued that their formula is made using a database interpreted by a Stanford dermatologist, biologist, and data scientist.
I was pleasantly surprised with the packaging it arrived in but when I actually smelled the products, it was very off-putting. In the first few days, my boyfriend kept asking me if I smelled "burning rubber" at night, and then I realized the smell he was noticing was actually the night cream, hah! I figured if the product worked he/I could deal with the smell.
The day cream seemed very liquidy but I wanted to stick with the process to see how things turned out. Well, the first week went by. My skin definitely started to feel smoother but I had extra dry patches on my face. I reached out to the consultant and they advised I alternate or use my old skincare products with the Proven products, but otherwise continue with the products while my skin transitioned. I initially tried putting a second layer of the day cream to deal with the dryness -- didn't work, still was patchy. Then I tried adding my old day cream -- better, but still patchy. After a few weeks of trying adjustments, my skin just kept getting drier and drier to the extent where it felt like it was getting thicker, almost leathery. I really wanted to stick with the product, especially considering how much it cost. I even tried just switch back to my old skincare regimen and just using the night cream but I was starting to get cystic acne again, something I hadn't dealt with for years. I finally gave up and bought another product at significantly less than a quarter of the price I paid for proven and my skin looks significantly better in just 1 day,and continues to look better. Patchy dryness is gone and no more leathery dryness.
I'm REALLY disappointed in this product. Normally I would figure it's just not a good fit with me in particular but considering how the terrible results I got with this product, I wouldn't even suggest anyone try Proven.
This was....disappointing. I have drier, sensitive skin and was so excited to receive this in the mail until I opened up the packages. You can tell right away that these products are poor quality. All three products dried me out (including the sunscreen??) but the worst of all was the night cream. It has the consistency of Elmer’s glue and not surprisingly, enlarges my pores and makes my skin dull and older by about ten years (I’m 27). A night cream should not be drying, people!
Save your money. This is an instagram marketing ploy :/
Really liked the feel of the night cream and day moisturizer, however started to break out A LOT on my forehead and some on my cheeks after about 4 days of using the skincare system. Something in this is clogging my pores! I don’t usually have breakouts at age 31 anymore.
I purchased proven a few weeks ago and had almost an immediate allergic reaction of dry itchy eyes and skin. I informed my representative and she told me to just continue using the product, that it will go away essentially. Oh, and because it was made just for me I couldn't get a refund or return it. All this did was dry out my skin. Would definitely not recommend.
They have the worst customer service ! They dot. Tell you that your card is going to get charged for your next order. They don’t send an email when it ships or gets delivered. You can not change the order date. They whole point of this company is to be able to customize your order . Dealing with the companies customer service is painful.
Incredibly difficult to cancel after trial for month. After cancelling, I was notified that another month was being shipped and no way to provide refund.
For a company who touts using a data driven approach to skin care, the fine print shows that the consumer reviews are only on a data set of 33!
I received a product that was completely unusable, it legitimately smells like rotten eggs. Customer service got back to me that it was "the best formulation for your skin" which is not true if I can't even put it on my face without gagging. Contacted customer service 3 more times about a refund, they said they would "put a note in my file" which is completely useless.
I tried to warn others on social media and rather than let their true colors show they have deleted my comments and BLOCKED me on social media. No wonder they only have good reviews and comments, what a dishonest company! 100% do NOT recommend.
I tried the product. It caused my skin to break out and asked for a refund. The answer was no. Unbelievable. If you can’t try a product without returning it if it doesn’t work for you, it’s a scam. I emailed them back again regarding my dissatisfaction with their answer and got no response. There are plenty of medical grade products on the market that stand behind their promises. Don’t buy Proven!
I didn't like the product it made my skin itchy, I cancel the subscription but the keep sending product, keep charging my credit card and there is no way to delete it from there web site.
I wanted very much to like this product - love the company’s story and the concept! I never spend this much on skincare so it was a splurge for me. I was excited to try the product and the first thing I tried was the cleanser. Unfortunately the pump did not work - I pumped away for several minutes and couldn’t get it going. In the process of struggling with it I dropped the cap and it went right down my shower drain!!! I never could get the pump going so took the pump off, and the bottle is so narrow you cannot really pour it out. Very frustrating - I feel like I wasted my money on this. So I wrote to the company about my issue (including my funny shower drain mishap) and they took a week to respond then just gave me a generic reply telling me to pump gently. For what I spent I had hoped for a little more personalized customer support and a replacement cap and pump- doesn’t seem so hard. On top of that the day cream caused me to break out. Just overall not worth the price for crummy packaging and impersonal customer service. I cancelled my subscription.
Purchased this product and used it for 4 weeks without any results. Email to cancel my subscription on the 25th of June and was conveniently charged another $119 the next day for another round of the skincare. Well over 5 emails and 5-6 days later about wanting a refund and my order cancelled, they told me they couldn’t because they had already shipped the next product out. Such bs. Will never recommend this product. The packaging and product is not worth $119 for sure.
Ordered 5/27. Took a long time to get the product, though I know it is personalized so I was okay with that. Unfortunately after using one of the creams for the first time I had an issue with it and needed assistance either reformulating it (as they guarantee they will do) or getting a refund and my items cancelled. I received an automatic follow up email to my message that promised a response in 24-48 hours. That was over a week ago. They have no contact phone number available and a their pages such as the one on FB don’t allow reviews so I can’t help but think they are nothing but a pricey, dishonest “business” quick to take your money but impossible to stand by their product and guarantees DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Proven charged me for my order 1.5 months ago. Indicated they would ship the product 2 weeks after charge but never shipped the product.
When I followed-up with the customer service team they indicated they would ship the product the following business day (nearly 4 weeks after charge, e.g. 2 weeks late).
They have yet to ship the product 6 weeks later and have stopped replying to my emails. I now need to attempt a refund for my product through my credit card.
Very unhappy with my purchase. My skin broke out the worst it ever has after I started to use it. That's fine I have sensitive skin so it happens I don't blame them for that, necessarily, it's just not the skin care line for me. What I do have issues with is 1. if your products are "Proven" wouldn't you stand behind them and give a money back guarantee. I don't want my formula re-done. I'm sorry you ruined your one chance with me. I'll go get cheaper more effective prescriptions from my dermatologist. FYI yes prescriptions are cheaper than the Proven system even if you don't have insurance. Just talk to your dermatologist about options and use GoodRX. 2. Their website will NOT let you cancel your subscription or delete your card details from them. SUPER SHADY in my opinion. A reputable company should make it easy for you to cancel their service not hide that option. I would not recommend this company.
COMPLETE SCAM - reviews are fake - product causes rashes
I read the reviews and took a chance on Proven Skincare set which include cleanser, day cream and nights cream. I have dry skin and eczema prone skin. After 3 days, my broke out in acne and had a rash on my forehead. I contacted Proven support and they were completely useless. They offered to reformulate and try again. This was an ridiculous request - who would retry a product that caused a rash?
I was shocked at the response and wanted to add my review on their website. What I found was the reviews are fake - all created my “influencers”. Actual buyers are NOT able to add reviews on the website. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! It’s a scam and they refuse to refund a dime!
