Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. People frequently complained about extremely high prices, noting that quotes often demanded a massive portion of their household budgets. Consumers also struggled with poor product quality, reporting defective parts, incorrect designs, and numerous manufacturing flaws upon delivery. Furthermore, customers experienced frustrating delays and poor communication when trying to resolve warranty issues or secure necessary repairs.
Though some customers noted positive experiences with professional installation teams who completed jobs efficiently and carefully. Reviewers mentioned that certain staff members were respectful, helpful during consultations, and diligent about cleaning up debris afterwards.

have lied to us for years about taking us off junk mail list that we never signed up for.... clueless fools who think we would even ever for a second consider even one window repair from a company that cannot respect themselves, private citizens or planet earth by taking three seconds to delete someone from a junk mail list.... they are desperate for your business for a reason---they are clueless bumblers who cannot be trusted with anything
The absolute worst commercials on TV. Long and excruciatingly boring. We have to keep our remotes handy so we can mute these invasive pleas for business and I’m positive we represent the majority of the public where these obnoxious ads, full of lies, are played. Noise pollution. Is this the best you can do to promote this desperate business!?
Don't expect a refund anytime soon if you cancel your order
The quote was outrageous, but we decided to go with one door so we did the order and put down a deposit on a credit card which hit the account the same day. When they wouldn't budge on the 12 to 16 week delivery and it would take at least a month to do the measurements - we asked for a refund within the 3 days. We are now on day 13 with no refund yet....
Obscene pricing with sales tactics designed to exploit vulnerable people
We are looking to replace 8 windows and two sliding glass doors in a ~1,500 s.f., 1978 spec home — all standard-sized windows that do not require special ordering. The most common size was just under 3' x 5'. The sliding doors are standard, just under 72" x 80". This is in Riverside County, a modest-income area.
The cost for Andersen 100 series windows (essentially the same as Renewal by Andersen, made with their Fibrex composite material), in black, with the CA-required extra sun shield coating, and all tempered for extra fire resistance, is about $7700. For a reasonable estimate of installation costs, we described the home in detail to a Gemini, which estimated another ~$7,000 to $9,000 for a full-frame installation, not the retrofit installations that use your existing frames, which significantly reduce labor costs but are an inferior product. The total cost should be between ~$14,000 and $17,000. This includes the costs of pulling permits, repairing stucco and drywall, and cleanup, but not touch-up paint. It may be that the average homeowner (like us) will pay a bit more, since we're a one-time customer rather than a contractor with repeat business.
For this job, Renewal by Andersen quoted $55,000 for retrofit windows and over $70,000 for full-frame installation. This was a "special deal" as the normal price was over $100,000, but several specials that day brought our cost down to $70K. They then offered gimmicky financing (two years free, no interest—install now, pay later), as well as monthly 10-year financing at a decent 7% interest rate (still well above the HELOC rates we can get).
It is obscene for a company to try to exploit people this way. Although their windows (series 100, installed by a trusted contractor) appear to be good and perhaps best for our project, I'm choosing another product because they are part of the same parent company, and I don't want to support practices I consider unethical. In a sane world, this would be illegal.
If you are a Renewal by Andersen salesperson, get a life. I hope this behavior haunts you. Go sell used cars, houses, or something else besides Andersen windows. Try to do some good in the world.
They advertise on social media stressing SSA and military discounts. You provide the information requested and within a minute of submitting they're on the phone pushing for an appointment. The company that called was a local contractor.
After reviewing Renewal by Anderson, we phoned to cancel and the woman that answered went into a long, aggressive sales pitch. My husband told her we're not interested, don't bother sending someone to our home. Ten minutes later the texts started about rescheduling. We replied never, reported the call as spam and blocked the number.
Renewal by Andersen, I purchased an entry door and a storm door.
The entry door should have been measured because it was supposed to be custom made.
I purchased the doors October 6, 2025 and they were installed January 2026.
I placed at least three service calls and February 27th I spoke to Wayne about two problems with the door. Wayne, said my door frame was off and I have two choices to choose from, the ghosting of the entry door or the gap showing where the locks meet. I cancelled the service call, because I paid for a custom-made door and professional install.
Definition of door ghosting, A "ghosting door" (or "ghost door") is a door that swings open or closed by itself, often due to the door frame not being perfectly plumb (perfectly vertical), commonly caused by improper installation. I recently realized, when my door knob is in the locked position the door will open without a key.
I just want a custom door, that fit and a professional install.
We called this company out to get a quote for a patio door and were told, after a discount, a price of $21,000 plus tax. We shopped around and found a nicer door than the one that was being offered to us for less than half this price installed. This company is a total ripoff from A to Z. It truly is that simple. Don't waste your time or money with this company!
Renewal by Anderson sent a threatening mailer, falsely claiming to have inspected our windows. They falsely claimed our windows were warped, with leaks and gaps, with rotting frames and needing immediate replacement. They gave the false impression of being hired by the HOA and acting under their orders. These high pressure tactics based on fear would have worked in the unwary. Only by doing a search online did I discover their long history of scams. Do not fall for them.
The Ritz-Carlton of Window Replacements — Truly Exceptional ✨
I don’t say this lightly—Renewal by Andersen is truly the Ritz-Carlton of window replacements. From start to finish, I was absolutely wowed.
As someone in the real estate industry, I work with contractors every single day, so my standards are high—and this team exceeded them in every possible way.
It all began with Bill, my design consultant. From our very first meeting, we connected instantly. He was thoughtful, personable, and genuinely focused on what would work best for me and my home—not just selling a product, but offering guidance and care. That same level of professionalism and warmth carried through the entire experience.
Mike, the Operations Manager, was equally incredible. He came out on installation day to ensure everything was running smoothly and efficiently, and followed up afterward with a quality check call to confirm everything was completed to the highest standard. That level of attention is rare—and so appreciated.
Rodrigo and Fabricio, my installers, were an absolute joy to have in my home. They were kind, respectful, efficient, and meticulous in their work. They followed every protocol and went above and beyond—even taking the time to fix a blind that was slightly short by adding small pieces of wood to ensure a perfect fit. Who does that?! It’s those thoughtful details that truly set them apart.
I also have to mention Vanessa, who was wonderful throughout the process as well. Every single person I interacted with made me feel genuinely taken care of.
And the end result? Stunning. The windows are absolutely beautiful—both inside and out. But beyond aesthetics, I noticed an immediate improvement in my home’s comfort. My energy efficiency has already improved, and I’m so grateful knowing this investment will continue to pay off.
To be completely honest, I had another company come out prior to this, and the experience was night and day. There was a clear lack of care and professionalism. With Renewal by Andersen, it was the exact opposite—they treated my home like it truly mattered.
This company is everything and then some. The Chick-fil-A of their industry. Worth every penny. I genuinely feel honored to be part of the Renewal by Andersen family, and I have complete peace of mind knowing that if I ever need anything, they will be there.
I cannot recommend them highly enough. Truly exceptional✨

My family had 2 doors installed costing over $22,000 & the installation was amateurish. The one doors was to small and the casing were installed incorrectly and are covering their wiring for the outside doorbell. They have been ignored for 2 months and we're promised to correct the problem. It's not worth the extra expense for the door quality.
Unwanted postal mail…
For years I recycled Renewal By Andersen unwanted postal mailers. Then I moved into an apartment complex for which management controlled window replacement. I couldn’t understand why RBA would waste their marketing material on addresses that had no control of window replacement.
This is what I discovered.
Renewal by Andersen postal mailers are normally mailed via USPS’s marketing program EDDM/ECRWSS/ECRWSH (every direct door mail). Which means mailers are delivered to EACH address on an USPS mail Route selected by the sender.
EDDM mailers can be extremely difficult to stop. WHY? Sender is using USPS’s mailing list instead of their own internal one.
If EDDM mailer includes a physical address - email sender and request removal from their postal mailing list. I suggest emailing this request so you can follow up if needed.
If EDDM mailer is addressed in another name (ex. past resident). This means USPS still has name variation listed as a current resident. To stop these mailers - properly label mailbox, ask mail carrier to submit form 3575Z/MLNA, return as “NOT at this Address”.
If EDDM mailer doesn’t include an address your ONLY option is to ask sender to add your address to their EDDM facing slip. EDDM facing slip ask mail carrier to skip listed addresses. If your mail route doesn’t have a regular mail carrier don’t expect this to be followed.
Trust me. You really don’t want to let one of their salesmen into your house. After aggressively asking questions for an hour or so, ours then stated that we were ‘wasting his time’ if we didn’t commit to a sale of $40,000 that day. These are called ‘hard closing’ techniques and with the exception of some car dealers no one uses them anymore. If you need to threaten your customer into a sale, I’m sure your products can’t be very good.
I have not used this company nor ever contacted them. I messaged them around 3pm and I told them to Cease and Desist all forms of communication with me immediately. I get a call from them 30 minutes later wanting to talk, so they apparently do NOT listen or read their messages. Do NOT use this company as I am sure they will continually harass you until you do business with them. Go find a better company than this!
I have received ANOTHER call today from these fools even after I have demanded they stop calling me. This is blatant HARASSMENT and I am seriously considering my next steps to address this issue. Do NOT use this company as they will constantly harass you even after you ORDER them to "Cease and Desist", which I have now done 3 times!
I have had an ongoing problem with my Door for the last two years. The dog cost almost $10,000. They’ve been out here for service four different times for the ripples on the door and two different times for the handles of the door. No one is doing anything and I am tired of this abuse. I really need for someone from the Anderson team of renewal to get back to me. I live in Harrisburg, PA and I am fed up with Anderson. I reached out to the CEO and of course it’s not allowed. I did get the right email address but he blocked it. It is blocked. I guess it’s blocked for some reason fed up fed up. They charge so much money they say that they’re so much into their customers and they do so much charity work, etc. etc. but yet when they have to respond, they don’t I will continue until I get an answer and I get a new door. This is very offensive.
The first thing that impressed me was the patience and consistency of the company. Replacement windows seemed out of our price range, but we had old wooden windows that could be drafty and sometimes stuck.
The “salesman” who came to my messy, cluttered house to give us an estimate never made me feel like I should have hired a maid before contacting them. They left us that day with a firm price that was good for a year.
It seemed like a lot of money & I was not quick about making a decision. In fact, I let the year go by and ended up calling them again. The price did go up, but it was less of an increase than the inflation rate. I never once received a call pressuring me to buy the windows.
Eventually, we replaced all of our windows with the company. There are many beautiful and more expensive window styles shown on the website. They look impressive and if I was independently wealthy, I might have chosen something fancy. I’m not & I’m sure they could tell that by looking at the way we lived. I felt no judgement, but they helped us figure out the most economical way to replace the windows and bring my older home into compliance with new laws regarding egress. I had thought about how I would get out of my home if there was a fire and I couldn’t get to the first floor. I thought I could squeeze through the opening, but I never tested the theory. Now at least one window in every living space opens widely and I definitely could make it through if, God forbid, I had to.
We ended up with all white windows, because they were less expensive & we use our home to live in, not as a showplace. No fancy designs, but they still look and work better than the original windows. Our windows were slightly different sizes but they manufactured windows that fit the openings.
When the windows were installed, I was recovering from surgery and was actually in my bed when the windows were installed. It was winter in Maine, so it was cold outside. The installation was quick and drama free. The windows fit well, the installers were friendly and spoke English.
We chose to finance both because we didn’t have the cash and the terms were very reasonable. I can’t remember the specifics (that surgery was for a brain tumor) but my older son, who is very frugal and very good with math, assured me the deal was both good and solid. We were able to pay for the windows without incurring a finance charge.
I don’t plan on selling anytime soon, but when I do, I believe the windows will boost the price and value. In the meantime, they reduced any drafts and lowered our heating costs. I can’t recall the date exactly. I have given my best estimate.
Horrible customer service by Renewal by Anderson Las Vegas
I spent over $50,000 having all my windows and doors replaced by Renewal by Anderson. When I called Thursday to inform them I couldn't get out the front door of my home, the only access to the front of the house, they said they couldn't get anyone to fix their defective door until 6 days later. I expressed my concern about it being a fire hazard since I could only open the garage door to get out to the front yard in case of a fire or for any other emergency, but it made no difference. Renewal by Anderson still said it would still take 6 days before they could send someone to fix their defective door. I spent a huge amount of money after they promised they stood behind their self manufactured products with an extended warranty. But when it comes down to it, they have horrible customer service. They are not standing behind their promises or products!
zero pros. They prey on the elderly and uneducated people to get them to sign 20 year financial contracts for products that are 1000% higher then the next highest competition. Management are truly heartless cowards that are making well over half million a year to work part time. And during the training process. We are brainwashed to deceive people and lock them into low payment loans and tell you there 0% person loans and we are not to EVER inform the client that it’s only that for 2 years then goes to credit card interest for 240 months. 20 years!! These people destroy lives and god forbid an employee question them on it. Travis the main training and sales manager is the most crooked little man that gets a high from ripping anyone off and destroying anyone that gets in his way. If it be family. Elders. Mentally unstable. He’s a very bad individual and please look into this and do not fall for it. They will
Come after you. They are an United States company from Alaska that not long ago moved
To British Columbia as they seen a massive population to scam and profit from. Mark my
Words. There main office is in Vancouver. Travis the con artist is about 5 foot 6 and walks as he’s 7 foot 2. And that speaks volumes.
This is for those of you who haven't decided yet on installing new windows in your home. While Andersen IS "thee" elitist of them all and priciest? By NO means are they substantially better than many other window vendors, at least? In the Las Vegas area. The quality is there and the workmanship. But I've used another windowmaker whose been around Vegas for "eons" who did my home beautiful, strong and well fabricated windows for one third less the price. I also can't say much for the warranty of Andersen, as it was like "pulling teeth" to get them out and consequently? I wound up calling another vendor to assist with a minor but NECESSARY problem. Choose wisely and please, don't be fooled the their OVERadvertising.
