Nick Dalton, Project Manager made measurements of my window replacement today. He was very pleasant and answered all of my questions. He gave me his card and told me to call if I any concerns. I am so excited about having my windows replaced after 30 years!
We used Andersen Renewal 3 times beginning on 2010. We paid thousands of dollars. Now the sashes have discolored on several windows. They want to charge us another $9000.00 to fix this. They have denied warranty on this. The customer service has been rude when reporting this problem. Buyer beware.
If Anderson windows are supposed to be so good then why do they sell renewal by Anderson, answer to put a second junky window on the market.
They both are not very good as a builder I will NEVER use either of them because they are not very good and Anderson NEVER lived up to there warranty. If renewal by Anderson is supposed to be so good then why SELL Anderson windows. Answer to sell double the junk .
The windows are nice and all, but the guys who installed them stole items from my house. I looked very thoroughly for a month and never found the missing things, such as a box of Japanese Pokemon cards and a vintage chain. These guys are criminals 😡 I don't even care much that they left a bit of a mess, but stealing is so wrong!
Ordered a 96"x96" sliding door replacement in December 2025. Install was late March, 2026. That door had a 10" scratch between the glass panes in a very noticeable location. Second replacement was scheduled for late MAY 2026, this replacement had a bent frame, jams during operation and latch sticks -- is worse than the scratched door. Now we're rescheduled for mid SEPTEMBER 2026 for more repairs -- Anderson lacks the parts.
I will not use Anderson again. The home's original sliding door was working better than what I have now and cost $12k less.
This company is the lowest of the low. When you try to work with them and be nice, they will not work with you back. They will scam you, I wouldn’t trust this company at any point of your life.
The only reason this isn't a 1-star review is because the product itself is great and the installation crew did an amazing job. We love our windows, but the sales experience was a nightmare.
The sales pitch was incredibly high-pressure, and worse, we were told we were getting a 0% interest promotion. It turns out we were actually given an 8.99% interest rate from day one. It is completely our fault for not reviewing the loan documents more carefully before signing, but the fact that the promo we were sold was entirely different from the reality of the loan is highly misleading. Great windows, but the sales and financing side of this company cannot be trusted. Take your time, don't let them pressure you, and read the fine print. We also ended up having extra fees when closing the account.
I called Renewal by Anderson about 2 standard wooden doors. Nothing special! Ihad already gotten one quote for $980 each. I was wanting one more competing quote before moving forward.I called the central customer service number and they were difficult. They wanted the sales person to be there ONLY when both my wife and I would be available. They were very pushy. Almost how you might think a scammer would be pushy. The meeting must last at least an hour. I pushed back and said come out but no guarantees. They can out 2 hours later.
I told the sales guy my needs were simple and showed him the 2 doors. He wanted to try to sell me windows also but I told him I was not interested and just give me the quote. He took about 10 minutes taking measurements and asking a few questions before quoting a price. $12,500 per door! I was appalled and politely thanked hom and showed him out. From the moment I placed the initial call to the end of the process it was very Scam like and candidly absurd. They are just looking for the one good fool on which to break even after the previous 100 targets have turned them down.
I foolishly signed up for a promotion drawing at an event. We told them, and denoted on the paperwork we were building a home and did not need the quote immediately. They have literally HARASSED me and my husband since. It's been a damn nightmare no matter how many times we have told them to not call us again. The real breaking point was when they called at 7:45 on a Sunday morning and then said we were unreasonable for being upset! I would never consider ever doing business with them.
The windows were fine, but they will harass you for more business for the rest of your life. How often do they think I'm going to need windows? And if you call to ask them to stop sending you deceptive, creepy, junk mail made to look like holiday cards, they hang up on you.
If I could give them zero stars I would. I was stupid enough to pay $12,000 for an exterior door, and that is with a $2,000 discount! It was installed last October and here we are just 8 months later and both the interior door and the storm door are both sagging. I have made several calls to my "local representative" and have heard nothing back in the last two weeks. I am now looking at filing complaints with the corporate office and potential legal actions if this is not resolved to my satisfaction. Once they have your money, you are on your own. Nothing but a bunch of crooks. Knowing what I know now, if they offered me a free door, I wouldn't take it. Worthless!
I can't rate them high enough! The customer service and installation were perfect and I love the windows. Adam Giese and his team installed my windows and sliding glass door perfectly so I know they'll hold up against the extreme weather we get in Montana. They were so professional and very nice. They worked hard and cleaned up any debris or dust when they were done. The communication from start to finish was excellent. I highly recommend Renewal By Anderson.
Love my patio door and door come g in from the garage. Everyone was great up until we needed warranty work. We had someone come look at the sliding screen door because it kept coming off the track, alo g with the bug strip not right. He didn't fix it, had to call again and they said on the bug strip it wasn't report by the first guy so they had to send someone else, he shows up fixes the door but can't fix the strip, will send someone out as it is a part on the truck, a week went by and no one showed, called called called, finally got a person oh we have to order it, they wouldn't gave if I hadn't called, two weeks later still the piece is not in. Don't buy their doors or windows cause if you need warranty work it will take forever as the office people don't listen to the service mangers and don't know what they are talking about. That is what a service manager told us.
We bought window few years ago and decided later to reconfigure room. I am trying to sell window after market and called them to I derstand its value and general cost. For some reason this is a big mystery and they were unable to estimate its cost. Very strange. Company that doesn’t understand its cost or unable to explain principle model. Oh well.
We ordered a door from Renewal by Andersen of Boise in October. The salesperson came out, helped us choose the style and color, and took measurements. A few days later, we had to leave work to meet with another employee who came out to verify dimensions. We were initially told the door would be installed in January.
February arrived, and the installation finally took place. Unfortunately, the door was built to swing in the wrong direction, and it did not include the three-point locking system we had specifically discussed and expected. Instead of taking responsibility, we were blamed and told that we had ordered it incorrectly. After considerable effort on our part, they finally agreed to reorder the door.
We were then told the replacement would be installed by May. When May came around, we received a call explaining that a plant fire had delayed production. We asked for some form of discount or accommodation given the delays, inconvenience, and multiple mistakes. The representative we spoke with was extremely rude, denied there had been any plant fire, and once again seemed more interested in blaming us than resolving the situation.
After months of delays, multiple appointments, missed work, incorrect products, broken promises, and poor customer service, this has been one of the worst customer experiences we have ever had. Renewal by Andersen of Boise charges premium prices, but our experience has been anything but premium. We would not recommend them based on our experience.
A salesman, saying his first name and company but giving no business card, was in the neighborhood and stopped by asking if I needed anything. (No vehicle was nearby but he was wearing a shirt with the company logo.) I said my picture window generally wasn't in bad shape, but it had a bad board on the frame on a removeable side window. He made an appointment for me.
Days later at the time of the appointment, a different salesman came in a private vehicle, gave his first name but no business card. I thought the TV commercials had that they do partial replacements, but he said I would need an entire new window. I wanted a ballpark figure on the cost, but he couldn't do that. I had to decide while he was here exactly what type of window, hardware, color, screens, etc., that I wanted. I mostly chose the CHEAPEST of the choices. The final cost was in the mid $13,000 but I could get a discount if I signed now. I declined because I wanted to think it over. He still tried to make a sale. I never did get a written estimate or even what city his office was in. I asked for, and did get, a phone number to call if I did decide to purchase his product. This appointment took 90 minutes.
After reading other reviews about being an overpriced product and having hidden fees, I won't be calling back.
Made an appointment online for a consultation and never heard back from them. I needed to cancel the appointment, which of course you have to call to cancel. I told them I DID NOT want to reschedule at the time and would call when I wanted to reschedule. Well, shocker, now they call me ALL THE TIME. I would not use them now for anything. I will block a number and then they use another number. Bad business.
We had a new door installed for our casita. We told the salesperson and repair person that we were getting the house painted and we were getting a new casita door so that could be painted with the house. It turns out the door is vinyl and cannot be painted. The paint will bubble and peel in the sun. They all should have known that and informed us. It looks disgusting, so disappointed in Renewal by Anderson. Have left messages with salesperson and repair department but no response. Think that is standard operating procedure for this company. My advice, do not use this company, find another company!
I ordered a storm door on november 1st 2025. We waited until may of 2026 to get it installed, but they put the wrong size. So now we're still waiting poor service. Poor quality overpriced. Horrible horrible they don't care about the customers. They only care to protect themselves on signing contracts. And I would never recommend them to anybody they're the worst company. Please say because an order for me to get my storm.Door I had to buy a whole new front.Door that was their policy. All I want to was a storm.Door. I'm still waiting almost a half a year.
I want to stress to Renewal by Andersen that my product (door) came in damaged, and I was not told the lock was damaged until the installation was complete. It was only then that I was told my door was locked shut. I want to emphasize that point, locked shut.
From the time of installation until Renewal by Andersen finds its way back to my house, one month will have passed. The company could have as easily sent the lock to me, I could have removed the two screws, inserted the new lock, replaced the screws, all inside of five minutes, and not have to wait a month to use my pretty $5800 door. Honestly, I find it disappointing and upsetting that Andersen has not offered any type of compensation for me not being able to use the door that the installer had to have known was defective, but went ahead and installed it anyway. As a matter of fact, he never said anything to me until, while he was still in the house, I tried to open the door for my wife to see how well it worked, or didn't work. Andersen needs to do better; it will be the last Andersen product I install in my home.
