What people say

Avoid at all costs

I invested in 3 companies about 2-3 years ago. Completely forgot about and came back revisiting out of curiosity. I found literally nothing on the Republic site, had to manually check the companies I invested in to only discover they had dissolved, closed their sites etc. I fully understand the risk with investments, especially crowd funding. But the fact that there's zero accountability on Republic's end is shocking. Give me an update if the company went under, why it happened, post an update on the company profile page. Absolutely pathetic, will never use again.

Where do I even begin

Where do I even begin? I invested in Grit Boxing at Home on Republic, eager to support a company and mission I believed in. YEARS have passed, and I've received zero communication from Republic about my investment. No updates on the company's progress, no confirmation of my investment, and most importantly, no sellable shares. This whole experience feels like a scam. My money seems to have vanished into a black hole, with Republic offering no explanation or support. If you're considering using Republic for your investments, think twice. Unless you enjoy the feeling of throwing your money away with no idea where it goes, look elsewhere! Here's what I want to see from Republic: Transparency: Update investors regularly on the companies they've invested in. Communication: Respond to inquiries from investors in a timely manner. Accountability: Deliver what you promise - sellable shares and clear communication. Until I see some concrete action from Republic, this review will remain a scathing 1 star.

No protection of investors' interests

Hello. One of the main reasons for my negative impression is the quality of the audit performed by Republic. During my participation in the project, I discovered the insufficiency and illiteracy of audit work. It was clear that their specialists did not pay enough attention to detail and did not conduct a deep enough analysis of the financial stability of startups. This raises serious concerns regarding the security and profitability of investments made through Republic. You are deliberately misleading your investors. Overall, my experience with Republic left me feeling disappointed and dissatisfied. I believe that to ensure long-term success and investor trust, the platform must seriously overhaul its audit processes and improve its performance in ensuring the safety and quality of investments. And at least somehow protect their investors and even compensate for damage. Thank you.

Smooth and seamless

Smooth and seamless. Fees are relatively high because even after linking my bank account through Plaid, I cannot generally process purchases without using my debit card linked to the account, with results in higher fees. Still, the platform is a good means to learn of or connect with good opportunities to invest in private entities.
