I was a little hesitant. Applying was simple and easy. I knew my credit score was poor. To be accepted and be approved for the loan I was looking for. I was able to get caught up on misc. and bills. I just want to say thank you. I still have a little more. When I paid this loan I may do another loan. By getting this loan hopefully it will help raise my credit score.

Rise Up Lending is usury. Plain and simple. They force you to pay your loan off, in full, with a one-time payment (including eye-gouging interest). They do not make this clear initially. Instead, they use deceptive language that makes you think you will pay the loan off in monthly installments. If you cannot pay off the loan immediately, you will continue paying them an exorbitant fee every month for over a year. In my case, this meant a monthly fee that was half of the original loan amount, for a period of 16 months! Stay away, just look them up on BBB.

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with how Rise Up Lending treated both my aunt and me. For several weeks, I was told by multiple representatives that my loan was paid in full. I relied on that information, only to later be told that I suddenly owed an additional $300 due to a “returned payment” that I was never made aware of. This was especially concerning because I had already called to pay off the balance using another card due to suspected fraud on my account. At no point was I properly informed of any issue or outstanding balance. Throughout this process, I spoke with several representatives, including Maria, Connie, Juan, LaQuinta, Randy, and eventually a supervisor, Nathaniel—whom I only reached after repeatedly requesting escalation over the course of weeks. My experience with LaQuinta was particularly unacceptable. She was extremely rude, constantly interrupted me, and ultimately hung up on me when I was simply asking for confirmation that no further payments would be due—something I had already been told multiple times by other representatives. In addition, I was repeatedly promised callbacks that never happened, adding to the frustration and lack of trust in this company. Being told multiple times that my loan was fully paid off, only to later be asked for more money, is completely unacceptable and misleading. This level of inconsistency, poor communication, and unprofessional behavior is deeply concerning. I will not be recommending Rise Up Lending to anyone, and if I continue to be contacted regarding this matter, I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Although we hit a few bumps in the road, Rise Up Lending reps were extremely helpful in straightening it out. It was a pleasure dealing with the last rep I spoke with. She was very sympathetic to the problems I was having with bank. I have ultimately closed that checking account. Everyone loves a happy ending.
