I bought a new Roborock Qrevo MaxV 3 months ago. It has never cleaned in the way that the company explained its logic but often goes diagonal across a room to start clean elsewhere. It means that one cleaning session is never sufficient.
Today there is an error message that laser sensor is "blocked". I wipe it clean and nothing helps. The company's user manual has no technical specifications and the problem solving is a joke. When I search on manuals on the website, the I get the very basic user manual which is very poor in outlining the product's actual specification and how to handle the hardware when it does not work.
I excitedly ordered the Saros 20 Flow on release day and it arrived to my house at around noon on Thursday September 17. I was at the UPS store doing a return on Friday September 18th at noon after less that 24 hours of ownership. The unit clearly malfunctioned and the right arm of the AdapiLift system was acting like it had a mind of its own. The arm kept extended and contracting so the unit could not dock or do its sole purpose of cleaning. Roborock Customer Support was horrible and after seeing the same script that other America customers noticed, I opted to return the device via Amazon. So I am out $1700 and have dirty floors still and no robot. Hopefully i will get a refund in two week. My advice is, if you buy a Roborock, do not go directly to them for your purchase. Go somewhere that has a return policy and make sure to document every step from receiving the product, unboxing, and setup. Once they get your money, they have no interest in helping you.
Never received my purchase, and Roborock won't help at all
Bought a robot worth over $1000, and never received it.
The shady shipping company they use couldn't produce any proof of delivery, like a picture, and Roborock just doesn't care about it.
They told me that if you don't receive a package, it's not their problem, and that fact is actually in their policy.
Their customer support is terrible, and they only care about your payment.
The Roborock Q7 design is fundamentally flawed. The Battery Management Control system isn't sealed and therefore shorts out after a few a few months of service. The phone number is skeleton staffed and just rings continuously., therefore USELESS. The email service is TOTALLY FLAWED with useless bots that continuously cycle your email uselessly. My Roborock Q7 is now destined for recycling because the battery is dead and it cannot charge. It worked great initially. Then I noticed that it wasn't fully charging. Then it said "Unable to reach target retuning to charge", but then it wouldn't charge.
After going back and forth about 10 times with Roborock support and bots they finally agreed to send my Roborock Q7 back for repair.
Worked great for a year, then suddenly failed
I purchased the Roborock Q10 S5+ on August 8, 2025, and unfortunately, I'm already having a mechanical issue with it just over a year later.
For the first year, the vacuum worked great. I have two dogs, so it gets regular use, and it handled my floors and the transition between my kitchen and living room without any problems.
Now, it suddenly stops when trying to climb that same flooring transition. The wheels aren't jammed. I've checked them, and both wheels move freely, compress normally, and spring back into place. I also removed the mop module completely to rule that out, but the problem remained.
I've also noticed visible rust/corrosion on several screws and metal components underneath the vacuum, which is concerning for a machine that is designed to vacuum and mop.
I contacted Roborock, and they confirmed that there appears to be an issue with the device requiring repair. Unfortunately, the warranty has expired because the vacuum is only about a month past the one-year warranty period.
I understand that warranties have expiration dates, but I'm extremely disappointed that a vacuum costing several hundred dollars has developed a mechanical problem after only about 13 months of ownership. I don't think customers should reasonably expect to replace a robot vacuum after barely a year.
I'm currently waiting to see whether Roborock will offer a goodwill repair or replacement given how close the failure occurred to the end of the warranty. How they handle this will determine whether I purchase another Roborock in the future.
At this point, I can't recommend spending this much on the Q10 S5+ if the expected lifespan is only around a year.
Staaaaaaay away. They sell machines that do not connect to the internet. The support guy told me to RETURN it because THE DEVICE CONNECT ONLY TO SPECIFIC NETWORK TYPES AND NOT ALL NETWORKS (including condo/university/residence networks). So, their SMART solution was to use hotspot from ANOTHER PHONE to use the machine. What if I do not have another phone? Maybe get married so that you can use their machines. A wife for a hotspot so that roborock can sell their non engineered machines. I pray they go bankrupt soon.
⭐ 1/5 — BUYER BEWARE: TERRIBLE PRODUCT SUPPORT & CUSTOMER SERVICE
I seriously regret buying Roborock.
I paid premium money expecting a premium, reliable robot vacuum. Instead, after only about 6 months—and with very little actual use—the machine quit working.
But the product failure isn’t even the most frustrating part. The customer service experience was worse.
After contacting Roborock about a machine that failed after only six months, their solution was to offer me a $20 credit—and that $20 can only be used toward purchasing ANOTHER Roborock product.
Are you kidding me?
After spending hundreds of dollars on a supposedly premium product that barely lasted six months, why would I want to spend MORE money buying another one from the same company?
A $20 credit toward another purchase is not a meaningful solution.
When a company sells expensive products, customers should expect the company to stand behind them when something goes wrong this quickly. Based on my experience, Roborock completely failed that test.
I have owned many expensive appliances and electronics, and this has been one of my most disappointing customer-service experiences.
My advice: THINK TWICE BEFORE BUYING ROBOROCK.
Don’t just look at the features and reviews when the machine is new. Ask yourself what kind of support you’re going to receive if your expensive robot stops working months later.
My experience was simple:
Hardly used.
Failed in about 6 months.
Customer service solution: $20 credit toward buying another Roborock.
That tells me everything I need to know.
⚠️ BUYER BEWARE. I would not purchase another Roborock product.
I had my roborock serviced 3 times in less than a year. I have the Q7 the first time was because the mop part of the robot would spray water from the resivour. So they sent me a new one. Then a few months later it started to leak water everywhere. Then I recently sent it in because it had a sensor error. I shipped it out in the original box with no damage and when i got it today the who box was damaged. Someone dropped it and the original box was ripped. They didn't have the decency to retape the box. The bottom of the box was open and it almost fell out. Roborock sucks!
Very disappointing pricing policy and customer support
I contacted Roborock Romania to ask whether the promotions currently available on Roborock’s official stores in other EU countries would also become available in Romania.
At the time of writing, the price differences across Roborock’s own official EU stores are substantial:
• Italy: Qrevo Edge 2 Set – €549.99
• Germany: Qrevo Edge 2 Set – around €550 for members
• Spain: Qrevo Edge 2 – around €599.99 for members
• Romania: Qrevo Edge 2 – approximately €715, while the Qrevo Edge 2 Set is approximately €903
These are not random third-party retailers or clearance sellers. These are Roborock’s own official stores within the European Union.
I did NOT ask for price matching. I simply asked whether Romania would receive a similar promotion.
Instead of answering the question, Roborock Romania replied:
“We do not accept price comparisons between different locations. Differences in storage, transportation and other factors between different regions may affect prices.”
This feels like a generic response that completely avoids the actual question.
I fully understand that prices and promotions may vary between countries. However, when the same brand is selling the same product through its own official EU stores with such large differences, explaining it mainly through “storage and transportation costs” is hardly convincing.
The difference is particularly striking for the Qrevo Edge 2 Set: approximately €550 in Italy and Germany versus roughly €903 in Romania.
That is a difference of more than €350, or over 60%, for essentially the same product sold by the same brand within the EU.
I was genuinely considering buying the Qrevo Edge 2, but both the pricing policy for Romania and the way my question was handled have made me postpone the purchase.
For a premium brand selling products in this price range, I expected much better transparency and customer support.
The customer service for this is useless. They promise a 1 year warranty that includes a "repair, replacement, or return for refund". I accommodated 2 attempts at replacement that started malfunctioning within less than a month and 1 repair that never fixed the issue.
The product has a design flaw and does not properly stop running if the main brush is jammed and melts the brushes despite being cleaned daily.
Customer service is non existent at this point. I have requested a refund numerous times and they just tell me if it is not within 30 days it is not valid. This 30 day limit on return for a defective product is not mentioned anywhere on their warranty page. This product is a scam.
Do not buy it.
Robot has been in repair over 3 months of the first year I have owned it. Just received back again and lools like they haven't even touched it. Came back dirty and no visible fixes. The responses via email have been lacking in why it is not working.
Premium Price, Poor Reliability and Even Worse Customer Support
I have been a loyal Roborock customer for years and have purchased multiple Roborock products, but after my experience with the Saros Z70, I will not purchase another one.
The Z70 is supposed to be a premium flagship robot, and the model itself was only released in the U.S. in 2025. Mine is now only a few months outside its one-year warranty and has already suffered a major mechanical failure.
The left wheel is stuck in the raised position, making the robot unusable. This is on top of other problems I've experienced: the battery doesn't last like it should, the mop pads constantly fall off, and the robot frequently gets stuck and needs assistance.
The most disappointing part has been Roborock customer support. I explained all of these issues, that the warranty had only recently expired, and that I've been a long-time customer who has purchased several of their products. I asked them to make a reasonable goodwill warranty exception and repair or replace the robot.
They refused.
Their solution was for me to pay for an out-of-warranty repair, including the applicable repair and shipping costs.
I understand that warranties have expiration dates, but this is a very expensive flagship product that hasn't even been on the U.S. market much longer than the warranty period itself. A major component like the wheel assembly should not fail this early.
I gave Roborock the opportunity to stand behind its product and take care of a long-time customer. Instead, I received no meaningful help.
I will not spend more money repairing a robot that has already had this many problems, and Roborock has lost me as a customer. I will not purchase another Roborock product.
If you're considering spending this kind of money on a Roborock, I strongly recommend considering what happens after that one-year warranty expires.
Faulty under warranty, and I'm the one paying to send it back
My Roborock Saros 10 (ordered October 2025, order 5208) stopped working while still under warranty. The diagnosis side was handled fine, no complaint there.
The return is where it falls apart. What they sent me is a scan code, not a printable label, and it only works if I take the parcel to a drop-off shop myself. The robot plus its dock is one box of around 20kg. I can't carry that to a parcel shop, and I don't have a printer at home either, so the printerless drop-off is the only route their code allows.
I asked them to arrange a collection from my address instead. They said no.
So I'm left booking and paying for it myself. DPD quote me 14 pounds for a collection, or 59 pounds if I want the machine covered anywhere near the 1,200 pounds I paid for it. Either way I'm out of pocket to return a device that failed on its own, inside its warranty period.
Sorting out a collection would have cost them one email. Happy to update this review if they do.
I would seriously think twice before buying from Roborock. I paid around $1,400 for my vacuum only two years ago and then another $250 to have Roborock repair it.
They repaired it and shipped it back to me, but it was destroyed during the return shipment. UPS confirmed the package was damaged, unrecoverable, and discarded. I never got my vacuum back.
Instead of replacing the vacuum, Roborock has spent weeks telling me my case is being “escalated,” promising updates, missing those deadlines, and then asking me to wait even longer.
So I’m now out roughly $1,650 with no vacuum at all.
I am disabled and relied on this vacuum to keep my floors clean, which makes the way they have handled this even more frustrating.
At this point, I feel completely ripped off and Roborock is now facing legal action over this. I would absolutely NOT recommend spending this kind of money with a company that handles a customer’s property this way and then refuses to give a straightforward resolution when something goes wrong.
Buyer beware.
Without a shadow of a doubt the worst piece of technology i have ever witnessed.
Every single aspect of it is crap and objectively broken.
That is not hyperbole, account creation, app log in, connecting to phone, connecting to wifi, mapping, saving maps, cleaning, mopping.... Every single aspect of this does NOT work.
The app, programmed by blind syphilitic chimps, enter email or phone number to create account - "failed to send verification code". Use the desktop website to create an account and then try to use that to log in to phone app " incorrect username or password"
If you manage to get into the app, connecting the piece of crap is literally impossible.
Scanning the qr code on the vacuum = "loading unsuccessful"
Connecting to your wifi = "loading unsuccessful"
The moronic set up requires the vacuum setting up its own internet as a hotspot, when you say ok to proceed = "failed to send information to device 3004.1"
Factory reset it and try the set up again ^ the exact same errors
Press the reset button to soft reset the vacuum and network settings ^ Exact same errors occur
Follow the "help" online and compromise your home network by removing any numbers or special characters from your wifi password ^ Exact same errors occur.
If you are stubborn and bash your head against the worst hardware and worst app ever created and eventually get a connection to work, it is sill worthless.
The object detection is awful
Even in a tiny, 3 room , single floor apartment it fails to find the charging dock
It is claimed to be able to mount objects/room separators up to 20mm, in reality it struggles even managing room thresholds that are strips of aluminium flush with the floor
On first run it is supposed to scan your environment and create a map, it takes a while to do this and on the last room, with no reason whatsoever it simply says " map not saved, mapping failed"
If you set it to mop it will sit in place making loud whining noises and then suddenly speed off and start repeatedly crashing into the nearest wall
If you set it to vacuum only it will ignore its own built map and crash into walls, doors, wardrobes until you manually carry it back to the dock or it runs out of battery
Avoid, avoid, avoid - bad products and untrustworthy
I recently bought a Roborock and didn’t like it so wanted to return it (within the initial 30 days period). Their customer service sent me a DPD return label which I used to send the robot vacuum back. I can see via the tracking that the item was received by their warehouse on 10/08. Their customer service confirmed on 11/08 on email that the item was received and within 2-4days the refund will be processed. When the refund didn’t arrive after 5 days, I emailed their customer service again and this time their version changed - they said that though the item is showing delivered, their warehouse never received it and they are following it up with DPD. They have refused to give me a refund for the next 10 days till they solve this with DPD. I have also sent them proof of return and tracking screenshot but they are hell bent.
They have no phone presence in the U.K. and can be reached only via email. I think they are simply coming up with reasons to not give me my refund.
Avoid this company and their products.
I would give a lower review if possible. There is no way that my Q10 5+ should have failed in just over 6 months and not be replaced. On top of that all of the responsibility to send the vac to a repair center falls on the customer. 3.00 for a box, almost 7.00 for protective packing not to mention gas and time. They did provide a label but even threatened that if it wasn’t returned in ten days all expense for return would fall on me. Will probably go two weeks or more without my cleaner. Customer service and warranty are unacceptable.
I’m absolutely disgusted by the customer support. Don’t buy from them. They claimed to have repaired my machine but didn’t even touch it. They returned my parcel as I sent it. Buy Eufy if you actually want a good robot with good customer service.
DO NOT BUY ROBOROCK. It’s a shambles of a company.
The same opinion is echoed amongst the majority of reviews.
BUYER BEWARE!!!
ABSOLUTE RUBBISH AFTERSALES SUPPORT
One star is a overstatement
Terrible experience with this brand, we purchased a floor mop and vacuum in one, worked well first couple of times, after that the pump stopped, since we have had nothing but heartache from this seller, aftersales service and repairs is one complete Palm off run around, email after email, they use Bunnings market place as a seller middle man then it turns into a complete shamble for aftersales repair and just buy time hoping that the customer gets fed up and goes away palming off your warranty, same questions since February, and if you are reading this ROBOROCK I really hope you take your products back to where they were made and keep them out of Australia. One big scam is an understatement. BUY ANOTHER MAKE CONSUMERS.
