Horrible transparency with rocket mortgage …

Been with rocket mortgage for more than a decade and have refinanced with them multiple times. However, this time was a complete disaster, as they contacted me, went over all my Financials, and qouted me a rate of 7.75 which I locked in. Long story short, the final loan estimate came back at 9.5 WITHOUT any justification. I have asked multiple times to go over the drastic change and were going on 3 weeks without answers, so I Just canceled the loan. Im my opinion, this was a classic case of bait and switch, and I guess they though i.would either not pay enough attention, or that I desperate. Neither is true, so i.strongly recommend when they call and offer a great deal, hang up, their lying. Horrible experience.

WORST COMPANY EVER!! only nightmare since they took over the company!! Bad customer service and communication!! They take my money but can not provide me with any assistance and answer to why my insurance was cancelled for a year and no one followed up until I discovered the issue!!!

Paid $500 for an inaccurate appraisal, no refund and zero accountability

My experience with Rocket Mortgage and Kristina White Appraisals, Inc. was extremely disappointing. I paid $500 for an appraisal that contained incorrect information and factual errors. When I brought the inaccuracies to Rocket Mortgage’s attention, I expected them to stand behind the service they arranged and work toward a fair resolution. Instead, I was still charged the full appraisal fee and my request for a refund was denied, despite the errors I identified. Paying hundreds of dollars for an appraisal should come with an expectation of accuracy, professionalism, and accountability. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. If you’re considering using Rocket Mortgage, I recommend carefully reviewing your appraisal for accuracy before moving forward. Based on my experience, I was left paying for an appraisal that was inaccurate, with no meaningful resolution or refund. I hope both Rocket Mortgage and Kristina White Appraisals, Inc. improve how they handle appraisal disputes and customer concerns in the future.

Overall Great Experience

Overall experience was great. A couple of surprises, though. An unexpected request for property survey delayed process a bit. And Rocket Mortgage generated checks for creditor payoffs that I had to mail instead of them paying creditors direct electronically. Application (06/21/2026) to funding (07/31/2026) took almost 7 weeks.

Didn’t like getting 2 checks for my payoffs 3 days after rocket stated it would pay off those items. Should have just deposited all the money in my checking and I could have paid off the items promptly instead of costing me additional money with mailing delays!
