My RoofBag came with the wrong straps
My RoofBag came with the wrong straps. I called and was sent a new set...also wrong. Called again. THIRD set arrives... all good. Sent the wrong ones back. No problems at all. I used the Roofbag to move across the country. Some shifting but nothing dreadful. My car had no roof rack so the bag was on top of the non-slip material only. My belongings stayed safe. Only real problem was needing a ladder to load and unload. I'm 65 and a bit stiff so ladders are not fun for me. But over all a great product and nice people.

I’ve only used it once. I traveled from Indiana to New York and back, in the rain, and it worked perfectly. If you strap it down right, it’s quiet and it holds so much stuff. I recommend spending the extra money and getting the three individual bags that fit inside the roof bag. It just helps to organize your stuff and to fill the roof bag properly in order to reduce drag and sound. We used extra bungee cords for safety. Seems durable and kept everything dry. Overall a great storage option.

I think this bag was a great and inexpensive option! I did a lot of research and the price was really great for the quality of the bag. I've only used the bag once but it was a 3 day trip to move across states. The bag held up against the weather and stayed on nice and snug which I was very paranoid about. It is a bit unruly to get onto the car, but that is true for any rooftop carrier. I will plan to use it again for sure.

Bought the roof bag for a holiday trip…
Bought the roof bag for a holiday trip to the in-laws to manage the extra cargo going back home. Got the roof mat as well, which is basically like a non-slip rubber rug mat cut to the dimensions of the roof bag bottom. It does the job though, and I’d recommend adding it to protect your car/SUV roof. The roof bag is made of a very durable heavy plastic fabric, the zippers were super heavy duty, and the flap over the zipper edge is wide; the combination of these features meant the roof bag contents stayed dry and well protected. There was weather in both directions of our trip and absolutely zero water got in. Bag (when mostly full) was a little tough to zip but it was a necessary evil in order to keep it weathertight. My only complaint is that the hold-down straps provided were considerably more light-duty than the bag, and really aren’t designed well for the task. I made it work by looping them around the door frame, which barely left enough strap to connect to the light/medium duty plastic pinch clips. A better strap/hold-down system (roof rail channel clips, etc.) would bring the whole product up to 100%. On the next use I’ll probably try to use my long polymer ratchet tie-down straps instead of the provided straps. I give the bag an “A” and the straps a “C”, overall a “B”. And the price is fair.

Bought a roof bag for the roof rack on my mini van when we were planning a week long family vacation with our four kids. Worked out wonderfully well! Take their advice and lay it out on your floor to plan what luggage/items will go where once it is installed. Did reduce our gas mileage a bit, and had some wind noise, but was a lifesaver to get everything we needed along with us. Came shipped fast, well packed, and with everything with it that was needed. Had thought about getting a hard sided one, but didn't have a place to store it. We did encounter some rain on our trip, but our belongings stayed dry in the roof bag.

Have had my RoofBag for about 8 months. No complaints whatsoever! Drove through a torrential rainfall last Oct in PA without getting a single drop inside of my RoofBag. Loaned it to my daughter/son in law once or twice. They were impressed enough to get one of their own. This length of its guarantee was also a strong selling point for me.

Great product, easy enough to install, secure to roof but remember it’s easily accessible so consider where you’re leaving your car unattended. I took another reviewers advice and used plastic packing bags and I fit a ton of stuff
Bag worked well
Bag worked well. It would be nice for a pad or something at the door frame. I drove 2000 miles moving. The vibration from the strap scratches my paint. Other than than I have no complaints. I drove on the rain with no water intrusion.
As good as advertised!
After exploring a number of options including hardtop carriers, we went with RoofBag because of the reviews and have not been disappointed! Since we purchased our RoofBag, we have been on two cross-country trips which included several thunderstorms. We have not had leakage or problems of any sort. We are very glad we went with this product! Storage is a breeze.
A+, Does the job its meant to do
The bag arrived in a timely manner and performed perfectly. I have not had it out in the rain yet, but it did very well on an 8 hour road trip to Texas. The instructions are well written and easy to understand. It was much quieter than i expected it to be which was a nice surprise. All in all, i am very happy with the product and would order again if needed.

The roof bag is high quality and waterproof. The zipper takes a bit to zip around the corners due to the waterproof flap that covers it. We also purchased the mat to keep it in place on the roof of the car. We travel with our daughter and son in law and two granddaughters so we were always running out of room in the car. We bought the small one and it holds more than we expected. We are very happy with our purchase.
