Their app sucks. The experience was clunky and it locked me out with no warning. Customer service was helpful in giving me a refund though

After three failed attempts (your highest score was 67%), New York State DMV regulations require that the course be locked and restarted from the beginning. This isn't an app issue or something we can work around - it's a state mandate we must follow to remain an approved provider. We want to be completely honest with you: in all our time operating, we've never had anyone fail this introductory quiz before. This is genuinely unprecedented for us. It's designed to be straightforward and just confirms you've reviewed the basic course information. We're glad our customer service team was able to process your refund immediately so you could explore other providers. If another course provider works better for you, we wish you all the best. This is an outstanding course. I didn't want to take it, but I am glad I did. I learned a lot and, as a result, I am a safer driver.

10/10 would recommend to anyone! When I first got my license the only way to take a 5 hour course was in person, I live in such a small area we offered the course once every 6 months. TBH I think its probably better for people with zero driving experience to take the course in person because it sticks more that way, I do still think as long as the person pays attention during this course that they will walk away with at the minimum better knowledge of how the road works. With all that said for me personally being able to take this on my own time, from home was a game changer. I could have been eating pancakes while studying to get licensed... what more could I ask for? I will say I ran into a problem with Module 5 Unit 5, and because I'm a procrastinator I really needed it solved. After watching the embedded video twice and still being stuck I gave the company a call and believe it or not I IMMEDIATELY was talking to a human??? In 2026 they still have actual staff prepared to help you make sure that you complete the test on time. I wish I could remember the dudes name, because I genuinely was shocked at how fast they solved the issue.

This is a very effective and focused course. All the instructions are very clear and it's easy to navigate. I really appreciated that it's set up so that you don't have to complete it in one sitting - it's very easy to pick up where you left off. And you will likely learn new things about driving that you may have already thought you knew. The only recommendation I'd have for improving the course would be to add more visual materials and graphics to explain/illustrate the material more clearly.

I find myslef late in life having to get my drivers license again. I was dreading the 5 hour course but the safe driver academy made it so easy and straight foward, that i regret putting it off for so long!

Defensive driving school is not necessarily ever a 5 star experience, but I'll give 5 stars for the speed and convenience. The process was pretty straightforward, would recommend.

Convenient. I mostly liked, that you can come and go from the test to do other things. 30 days is plenty of time...I finished in 3 days! Now, just waiting for the posting at DMV Thank you....will recommend to family and friends!
