What people say

Amazing groundbreaking and lives up to the hype!

My other printer is a Bambu Labs P2S and I've only been printing a month now. We have fallen head over heels for 3D printing! With that said we decided to purchase the Snapmaker U1 for the multi tool functionality. Pros: Lives up to expectations for faster multi color prints and minimal waste. It is amazing! Due to this new capability we are now going to start selling 3d printed items and this allows us to do so much more faster and cheaper. Cons: Have has some issues with the snapmaker filament jamming and tangling that I hadn't experienced previously. The app and the slicer are subpar compared to Bambu labs and there is no comparison between makerworld and the snapmaker model gallery. TLDR: Amazing groundbreaking product that lives up to the hype and prints beautiful multicolor prints in a fraction of the time of single nozzle with a fraction of the waste. Supporting services have room for improvement.

When I received my u1 it was very well…

When I received my u1 it was very well packaged. The instructions to install everything was easy to follow and clear . I have done a few prints now and they have been really nice . I think this will probably end up being my favourite printer I would definitely recommend if anyone was thinking about buying one and would like to add the delivery was quick I received mine in less than a week from the date I ordered it

Beware of the Snapmaker Artisan

I did not realize when I bought the Snapmaker Artisan Premium that there was no support for this printer, all focus on U1 apparently. Assembly video is old and doesnt cover the current part versions so you are just left to best guess. Most slicers don't support it and Luban (because snapmaker wont let us use Orca like the U1) is so slow and crash prone I'd rather manually do the math to generate the g-code. For reference I have over 60gigs ram, 5090 GTX graphics card, I9 processor, just so you know its not some old laptop. Comes with a full blown tablet to control it but the only way to get gcode to it is use 3rd party software and manually transfer via usb because Luban is the only software that can wirelessly send g-code to it and that only works for smaller prints. One of the most expensive printers on the market, but no app connectivity or remote monitor camera. The Snapmaker U1, less than half the cost, has an app, camera upgrade accessory, and usable on orca slicer, printer has been out 3 years and supported by nothing, what are you doing Snapmaker? I'd return it if it was possible to put back in the boxes (designed not to be), not to mention the restock fee.

This is new, so a very early evaluation.

This is new, so this is very early. This printer seems unbelievable. I am very impressed, although I'm not quite so happy with the dryer boxes. I find them awkward to use and they take up more space than I think they have to. I can't find a way to actually connect the tubes to the printer, so they just sit against the feed motors and you can only dry one spool at a time. I think, for the price, they should have made a better drying/supply system. The printer itself seems awesome a works beyond my expectations. Looking forward for the top cover becoming available, but I find the dryer boxes awkward and not a good solution to keeping the filament dry or supply system for the filament. It could be me not understanding how to properly use them, but for the price, I feel they are a waste of money.
