What people say

Top quality 3D printer

The technical performance of this printer is outstanding. All specifications are met. It does exactly what the producer promised during the launch campaign. The missing star is for failing to deliver the top cover on a reasonable timeline. On the other hand, delaying this accessory is for a good reason : they want to deliver top quality, no compromise due to deadlines constraints.

when it works it is great

when it works it is great. Currently repairing a failure of the toolhead PCB board which failed after about 200 hours of printing

Dear James, Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re glad to hear that you’ve been happy with the U1’s performance when it’s working properly. We’re sorry to hear about the Toolhead PCB failure after around 200 hours of printing. We’ve reviewed your support case and can see that our technical support team has already identified the Toolhead 3 PCB as the likely cause and arranged a replacement PCB for you. We hope the replacement resolves the issue and gets your U1 back to printing reliably. We appreciate your patience while working through this with our team. Warm Regards, Snapmaker

Excellent 3D Printer for multi material and color

I was looking for a good multi head 3D printer, and after a lot of research I decided to go with the Snapmaker U1. What a machine! I'm so happy using it! I thought that I had endless possibilities with my old printer, which had only 1 header and 1 filament, a basic one, but now that I have this, I can make ANYTHING I want. The shipping was OK, The quality of the printer is really good and I'm enjoying it a lot. I would recommend it to anyone who's looking for something like this.

No hard copy manual available

No hard copy manual available. They closest they have in an on line, non printable PDF. To print it you have to copy and paste each paragraph of text and photo to create a printable file. Two weeks in, the 3 d printing module has jammed up, with filament wrapping around the feeding gears and locking it up. I have broke one nozzle trying to remove it because every recommended method by Snapmaker does not work. So, now my 3d printer is broken. I have switched to laser. I installed the laser module and the software refuses to recognize the 10 watt laser and says it is a 2 watt laser. It is not a two watt. It is a 10 watt. So far, every interaction with this overpriced piece of garbage has been like getting hit in the groin with a baseball bat.

I love my U1

I love my U1, the savings of filament when doing a color print is amazing. The time savings is amazing. Just 5 seconds to change filament instead of 50 to 55 seconds on my Bambu P2S. I'm not afraid to print color prints anymore because they take so little time compared to my P2S. I have not had any problems with my Snapmaker U1 at all for the 3 months thatI haveowned it.

This is the way

Buying from Snapmaker was one of the easiest processes I've ever had in terms of buying. Shipping was quick and the printer itself, Amazing!!! I had been debating between the U1 and the Anycubic S1 Max for sometime and decided to sacrifice build volume for low waste multicolor printing and this was for sure the correct decision. After only 20 hours of printing, I have yet to experience any negatives compared to my old Anycubic. I highly recommend buying from Snapmaker and will continue to give them my full support
