Had to get a last min “ride” for our car due to scheduled company backed out day of. Sonic saved us even though it cost more than we had with other company. They delivered day early but accommodated our schedule. No damage was found just extra dirt from the road. Driver was fantastic to work with during the process. I would hire them again for car transportation.

He was on a tight window he was coming in from Germany from an 3 year assignment and going to Colorado Springs and needed his car transported from his home town of Illinois to his new duty station.They maintain close contact and communication. They pick up my son car in Illinois and got it to Colorado Spring in time for him to start his new assignment at his duty station in Colorado Springs. Sonic transportation was easy to work with and communicative. The vehicle shipping game could be like the wild West sometimes and I was very pleased with how sonic handled cancellations and changes to the plan and were determined to get me the best price possible.

Send my vehicle from Miami, Fl to Houston, Tx. Vehicle arrived fine and even before I expected to my surprise. Was able to send some luggage in trunk. Harper (broker) was respectful and confident. Vehicle was picked up on the day we agreed. Even though price went up a bit. About $300, expect this since carriers are not theirs and costs has gone up like diesel. Driver was also respectful and projected trust. Wish prices were standardized and communication be faster in contracting to eliminate anxiety. But I guess free market behave like this. It is why some people will have a bad experience and others do not. Will ship again with Sonic Auto.
Sonic Auto Nations Experience
I hired Sonic Auto Nations to transport my car from Florida to South Carolina. They quoted me an excellent price of **$500** and promised a very flexible pickup process. Since I had to travel overseas, I explained that I did not have a secure place to leave the vehicle. They assured me they could pick it up at a gas station on the agreed date, which was one of the main reasons I chose them. We signed the contract on Thursday, and the pickup was scheduled for the following Tuesday. Unfortunately, that is when the problems began. Immediately after I signed the agreement, communication became extremely difficult. Harper Jade, the representative who handled my booking, repeatedly told me, *"We will call you tomorrow with the driver's information."* However, no one called on Friday or Saturday as promised. Reaching Harper became extremely difficult, and most of the time I received no response. Meanwhile, I received calls from several other transport companies. One representative warned me about a practice used by some brokers: they offer an unrealistically low price to secure your business, but when it is time to assign a carrier, they tell you the price has increased because no driver will accept the original rate. That is exactly what happened in my case. I tried calling Harper several times to get an update. At first, he told me he would call me back, but he never did. After repeatedly trying to reach him, I was eventually told that he did not work on Sundays. Only after insisting through multiple calls and messages did he finally text me, assuring me that I had nothing to worry about and that my car would be picked up as scheduled. Trusting his word, I left my car at the agreed gas station and boarded my international flight, crossing my fingers that Harper Jade from Sonic Auto Nations would actually do his part. Well... call me naive. While I was already overseas, Harper contacted me to tell me that the transport would now cost **an additional $350** because no driver was willing to transport my car for the original $500 quote. By that point, after all the unanswered calls, broken promises, and lack of communication, I had completely lost my patience. It became obvious that the original quote was simply a tactic to get me to sign the contract. Despite all the promises they made before earning my business, they were never able to find a driver willing to do the job for the agreed price. The entire experience was a constant headache from start to finish. Communication was poor, commitments were not honored, and I was left dealing with a last-minute price increase while I was already outside the country with no practical alternatives. If you're considering using Sonic Auto Nations, be aware that my experience was the exact opposite of what was promised. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this company or working with Harper Jade.

To be completely honest, the process of buying and shipping a car ~3k miles was stressful (some of which had nothing to do with Sonic). I originally had a quote for $1k to have my car shipped with others coming to my state, unfortunately the buyer backed out and delivering my car was no longer profitable enough for the original driver. Kevin (my Sonic broker) was able to secure another driver for $2700, and it was picked up 2 maybe 3 days later. Now the inflated price did seem high, but I was also quoted $3,400 and $3,200 when the first driver backed out, Kevin was able to negotiate and get the prices dropped to the $2700, so I told him to get get it loaded and shipped. I was very appreciative that Kevin was proving updates throughout this process and very responsive to my calls, texts, and emails. One thing I would recommend is to provide some means of tracking the GPS of the transport, I tried using OnStar GPS but the signal wasn’t reliable with the structural steel of the trailer. Just a method for the client to check when their car is would provide a peace of mind. The driver was very friendly and helpful while unloading, so I appreciated his kindness too. I seen a lot of reviews about Sonic doing a bait and switch, I don’t necessarily believe this to be true, at least for my prospective. The fact is, the more cars that are shipped reduces the cost for the client, when drivers or other clients back out then brokers have to scramble to get another shipment package; the quoted prices can go up, and I completely understand that and accepted the outcome. Overall I’m satisfied with the service Sonic was able to deliver and would recommend them.
