Reviewers had a great experience with this company. People frequently share that the food is extremely tasty, offering proper portion sizes and a wonderful variety that makes everyday dining much easier for families. Consumers also love the great flexibility of ordering meals without any mandatory subscription commitments while consistently receiving supportive customer care.
However, some people mentioned issues with delayed shipments, noting that packages occasionally arrived completely thawed because the dry ice had melted entirely during transit. Additionally, customers expressed deep disappointment regarding the recent removal of meal customization features, and a few reported receiving damaged containers with broken plastic pieces.

Top Chef - Corporate Changes Results in Customer Service at the Bottom
I still do not have my order; it's 2 weeks late. The new website somehow set me up for FedEx delivery when I usually have delivery by the weekday courier. FedEx has the label ready and waiting for my meals to be released by Top Chef. This delivery blunder happened after my previous order arrived with many of the food packages mislabeled i.e. potatoes on the label but rice in the meal...Top Chef is no longer on Top.
called today to find out why shipping not free anymore?
called today to find out why shipping is not free when you purchase over 15 meals and was told that the "BAD ECONOMY" has made them have to suspend free shipping???? Guess the bad economy means its time to try other meal service plans
I never get tracking info. I get the email that says when its expected to leave, but not actual tracking. This is a critical misstep as my 91 year-old mother-in-law will try to pick up the box on her own. We need to know when its arriving so we can plan to go over there and help her. She has already hurt her back once picking up the box.

We recently implemented a new system that gives you step by step tracking
Food was delicious. However box was delivered by Fedex and we received no email or notice that it was being delivered. We live in a condominium building and we asked specifically that the box be delivered to our door. Instead it went to our mail room where it sat for hours.
Order was never marked shipped and had no tracking information. I kept checking order and it just says shipping Tuesday. Was delivered on Wednesday afternoon and never knew until the next day. Even after delivery it still says pending in the order status.
The food is good, but the portions are very small, There should be an option to increase protein.
The order process is ok, I found the Ala Carte section very confusing. It says you can pick your sides couldn’t find that option.
the food is very good the daytime service is good the nighttime service not so good
some confusion of communicating delivery, when order was picked up? if it was picked up? website directions not always followed? why do you give an order number when it is hardly asked for by associates? quality of food very good to excellent
We had an issue with our delivery which was not the fault of Top Chef which lead to our food being delivered to the wrong location and left outside for several days. I reached out and they made it right almost immediately! I was so happy and grateful because it was out of their hands at that point but they still took care of us!
Customer service and top shelf seem to have very little knowledge about who the customers are I don’t know whether all your customers are over people but I suspected a large number are older people and therefore their eyesight is not as good as it used to be and whoever created the labels with the cookie instructions must be at least 10 years old because the type is so small . The current type fun seems to be about a six point you could at least make it a 10 point and if you really want to do your older customers your favor making a 12 point you have plenty of space there end it won’t cost you any more money to do it properly
The food was delicious but the delivery was totally wrong. Package was left in package room instead of my door as directed Box was very heavy and I could not lift it. Be aware when ordering.
Keeps in freezer for only a month: 2 at most. Have been buying from Top Chef Meals for a couple of years and just recently had a bad experience with the food not being any good; must have gotten thawed out or something prior to delivery. Had to throw out over $150 in their food that was well maintained in my freezer. Some was good, but for example, the lasagna had curdled cheese and was not edible. Asked for help from customer service, and this was their reply: "As we have no control over food delivered to our customers we can not take responsibility for these meals." So people should be aware that even though Top Chef says you can freeze meals up to 6 months or so, this is not the case. They do not taste good after being frozen for over a month. Will not be buying from them in the future; no one cares about providing great helpful customer service anymore! This last order was a very expensive lesson for me as I ended up throwing over half my last order away after 3 months because it does not freeze well!
We never received our order. It was delivered to the wrong address by Fed-Ex. When I called to tell the company the situation, the response was "Well I can't
promise, but they might return your call".
Was very disappointed. My 94 year old Mother was really looking forward to trying the meal's.
I like some of your meals.(I have to admit that when you were giving us choices it was a better way to do things) However, in the past several months you have changed them. For instance your Chicken Lo Mein has changed from sliced carrot to shredded carrots and a lack of content. Such as small pieces of chicken from good piece, tiny pieces of onion, and small pieces of green and red pepper. If this keeps happening, I may limit it only to one meal rather than 3. The meals that you serve now, such as Chicken Pie...eliminates the potato you put in them from one or two tiny pieces instead of enough potatoes to make a difference. STOP CUTTING DOWN ON INGREDIENTS. ALSO You are making too many rice meals. At least when we ordered them before, we had a choice of rice or mash potatoes....You need to either give us a choice of potatoes or rice. Start placing more potato meals please. AND I am a New Englander....SHEPHERDS PIE is made with Mash Potatoes,NOT RICE. You asked for an opinion ....that's it.
