Terrible company
Terrible company. I bought what I thought was 8 flexi season tickets which should be as per below Flexi Season allows unlimited travel on the day of activation between a named origin and destination station. They are sold in bundles of 8 day passes, which must be used within 28 days. It is only available as a Digital Ticket. But no this company are selling as single outbound only . Paid of 400 pounds just for 8 outbound tickets . Big Con ! Refused to give me full refund .
1 out of 4 journeys went without issues.
Booked two return trips. The outbound of trip one was cancelled, we were when 2 trains in. We were hours waiting for another one. No refund. The return of trip 1 was cancelled halfway through the 1st train and we were told to get off and they didn't know if there would be any more trains coming. We had to pay for a train to our trip 2 destination arriving a day early. No refund or free ride to our new destination. Having not been able to get to our original destination we couldn't take the outgoing train for trip 2. We did get some refund for that leg. The return leg from trip 2 was fine. So much for their refund policy if 15 minutes late. Of the four journeys the return of trip 2 was the only one without incident. Meanwhile we are out of pocket for a hotel room for a night and the train tickets we bought to redirect to our second trip destination. The app was ok, but expect to be left trackside nowhere near your destination and you won't be disappointed.
Shockingly bad app
Shockingly bad app! I wish I looked into the app a bit more before buying a 3 year Railcard. Not being able to download the Railcard into your Wallet is terrible. The app is very hard to navigate and now I'm tied in to using it for 3 years to use my railcard. There is no customer service you just get given an email address.
TrainPal appears to be a huge CON
I agree with the majority of reviews previously listed... they are highly efficient scam-orientated. I used a SOVENDUS voucher to purchase a senior railcard... and was misled throughout the purchase procedure... subsequent attempts to obtain a refund have been met with obfuscation; inaction; platitudes etc... but no refund. Does anyone know how to locate a business address for ANY of their administration ? Apparently, a senior figure is: Alvaro Ungurean; Commercial Director, Trainpal. and has been contacted by The Office Of Rail and Road in the past, concerning : Transparency of fees charged by online rail ticket retailers. Any Corporate address would be welcome... I am aware that they are a Chinese Company, ( Amy Wei is Head of TrainPAL ), parent company: Trip.com.

Used Trainpal numerous times and have never experienced any problems over at least 5 years. Although they do charge a booking fee the total fare is usually less than what the rail company websites and apps charge. You can also book European rail tickets through Trainpal, which saves trying to navigate each countries rail ticket booking website
No refund for cancelled train
Impossible to get a refund if your train is cancelled! Avoid the headache of days of repeating yourself in emails (because phone numbers for customer services dont exist in this day and age!) and purchase your tickets through a reputable company.
MONEY STOLEN
MONEY TAKEN, NO RAILCARD! I bought 2 split tickets on mytrainpal.com, using my Gmail email. During the payment a error message appeared saying try later. The payment went through but I have no email confirmation nor booking reference. I've emailed customer services 5 times now still no solution so going round in circles. I'm so frustrated as this was a Christmas present!!!
Very easy app to use
Very easy app to use. Gives you other journey options which can be a cheaper option compared to using Trainline. Been using for almost a year and never had any issues
MONEY STOLEN
MONEY TAKEN, NO RAILCARD! ps.: Customoer service constantly lying and delaying, never offer any solution. I bought a discount railcard on mytrainpal.com, using Google-linked login. After successful payment, the railcard needs to be accessed on trainpal app, which does NOT support Goolge-linked login. Now I am in a dead loop and lost money due to their technical error
What a miserable experience - DO NOT BUY RAILCARDS FROM TRAINPAL
What a miserable experience. I wanted to book train tickets but hadn’t yet purchased my Senior Railcard which would provide discounted prices. Trainpal promoted a discount on the Senior Railcard which was discounted from the standard Network Rail charge - the Railcard was setup to look like the Network Rail Senior Railcard including pricing. I went ahead and purchased the Railcard, which needed to be activated with a purchase from Trainpal. On attempting to book my journey, I found Trainpal does not offer travel from the station or via the route I need (direct service not offered, and offered options requiring 1-3 hours longer for a 1 hour 20 minute journey). On attempting to book the same journey directly via Network Rail I found the Senior Railcard is not legit. It’s a Trainpal scam - only useful if you purchase tickets from Trainpal. This despite the faux-holographic Network Rail logo on the digital Trainpal Rail Card issued once I paid the charge. On requesting cancellation of the transaction and refund of charges (within an hour of the transaction) I received emails from Trainpal stating the card was activated and not refundable. There’s no telephone number provided to speak with a representative, just an AI Chat and email. DO NOT BUY RAILCARDS FROM TRAINPAL unless you’re completely aware they only have any value for tickets bought via Trainpal. I’ll be taking this transaction up with my bank and consumer organisations as it’s my understanding any on-line purchase that hasn’t been used or damaged is refundable within 14-days of purchase.
Avoid - difficult for delay repay/cancellation
Avoid - deliberately make it really difficult to claim if calculations or delays. Train was delayed for over an hour - actual train company offers refunds from 15 minutes onwards but TrainPal app just says Denied. Opening resolver complaint against them
TrainPal is a really easy train app
TrainPal is a really easy train app. Helps you understand the price you’ll be paying and how to get cheaper where possible. I like that you collect points.
Trainpal is very bad
Trainpal is very bad. I have a review on their other page which appears to be full of false AI generated 5 star reviews. The experiences are this page are more accurate. My experience mirrors everyone else's on here. Mis-priced ticket followed by about 50 nonsensical responses that contradict each other. Eventually just made a charge back with my credit card company.

I am providing them a picture with the train being cancelled. They argue that the train was one minute late. Surreal. Very poor customer service.
Fraudulent Scams from China
The Chinese company, TrainPal has no shame. It's Fraudulent and I warn those who use it!! To make this short. I purchased "Cancel for any reason" on my ticket. Later, when I went to cancel it, I was told I can't. This is because my ticket isn't eligible. When I asked them why they offer me "Cancel for any reason" when you can't cancel for any reason. The blame was put back on me as I should have checked the Ts&Cs hidden somewhere separately on their website. Customer Service are a bunch of bots from China who will not help. There are a tremendous amount of bad reviews. I lost out on £100. Don't be scammed. Use a reputable app like Trainline

After 4 long and tedious months of trying to get a refund, TrainPal have finally repaid me what is rightfully mine. No apology, explanation or compensation. Please read other TrustPilot reviews to see how customers are treated by this company’s customer services.
Awful Customer Service and app!
Awful Customer Service! I booked a train for one day, few minutes later needed to change it on line said I can easily change.. could not! then told by the bot! cancel first one re-book then we can cancel.... not! cost me 2 train tickets. I had a sick note which was one of the criteria to change/cancel still no joy after numerous unhelpful replies to my emails.
