Had a boat vessel purchased handled by Trident funding. It's been over 3 months since we closed and picked up the boat from the seller, closing department never sent us the registration for the boat or the trailer. Inquired about this at the 6-week. Mark and was told there was a discrepancy with the serial number, registration and title. That they had to resubmit the paperwork. Here we are at the 13th week. Haven't heard anything from them and had to inquire again! Just to find out there's another issue and now I have to jump through hoops to get the serial number verified. If you're looking for a smooth seamless purchase, don't look here. Run somewhere else to get what you've paid for.

I live in Newport Beach, CA and am purchasing a 68' Nordhavn. I called Trident Funding and I was told I needed to work with Bobby Purewal in the Newport Beach office. The receptionist took a message for Bobby to return my call. He never called so I left another message and he still didn't return my call. I was given his email address and sent him an email. Still no reply so I called the main office again and was told that Bobby said he was too busy to return my phone calls or even send me a courtesy email reply acknowledging my inquiry. I am in the financial business as well as can't even imagine ignoring a prospective client like this. Absolutely horrible service. Why would I trust them, and especially Bobby with my business!

I had some back & forth on my end and probably wasn’t the easiest to deal with, but they stayed professional and worked me through it - ultimately delivering a good interest rate and overall good experience. Vinny was even responsive while on vacation, but Dana stepped in and saw it to the finish line while he was out. I had lots of questions and they were very responsive when needed!
Company was OK to deal with before loan processing. After loan processing, I can't get any support to help me get my title and registration. I have an expensive RV that I can't drive! IT's BEEN 6 MONTHS and I don't get the same answer twice when I call for support. The 50 DMV company they use is just as bad. A different excuse every time I call. Save yourself some hassle and go to a regular bank, it will be better in the long run.
As experienced boat buyers, we don't typically use bank financing however we found a financing source that is so simple to work with we decided to try them a couple years ago.
