Vamoose gets me there and back every time.
It's always a hassle getting from Brooklyn to downtown with and extra bago or two. Waiting in line for the bus on the sidewalk in Manhattan leaves one exposed to the extremes of NYC weather. Once I'm on the bus, everything is OK. Sometimes there's a rest-stop, always appreciated by me, the extra 15 minutes makes no difference in a schedule beset by variables such as traffic and weather anyway. More often the trip is non-stop, but either way it gets me down to the DC area to see my family, and back up to NY every time. I have no complaints, and only good things to say about the staff and drivers.
Great service
I have been using Vamoose bus service for several years. They have been very courteous, never late, and always good clean buses.
AC broke down, MD to NY ride
On July 19th, we had a very bad experience with Vamoose on our trip to NYC from MD. First, few minutes before departure time at Bethesda, we were asked to get off the bus and transfer to another bus. That inconvenienced us since we already setup comfortably on our seats. Then, few miles after leaving Bethesda, the AC started acting up. The AC eventually gave and it quickly became the most brutal ride I've ever experienced with Vamoose. Bad, very bad experience.

Exclusively ride Vamoose
I travel to New York from DC quite often and I will only use Vamoose if I'm taking a bus. They are incredibly efficient, always on time, and the only "breakdown" they've had was the wifi was a bit wonky. Head and shoulders above the other bus companies. They also have excellent customer service.
Reliable service
Had a great trip. Rewards program is great since my family lives in Lorton and I live in NYC. Nice to save a few bucks when I can. Will definitely continue to ride.
A good trip
Vamoose is my go-to bus service provider between VA and NYC. I appreciate very much that the bus is prompt, clean, and the bathroom doesn't smell. The fact that the electrical outlets always work is also a bonus. Wifi is iffy, but that's par for the course on all of the bus lines between VA/DC and NYC. The one policy that Vamoose needs to change is telling its drivers not to let passengers off the bus for a stop mid-trip. Long bus rides aren't easy on the driver nor the passengers. A quick 10 minute bathroom and stretch break is MUCH appreciated. I tip drivers that allow us to get off the bus.
Very good bus option
Vamoose is definitely one of the best DC to NY bus options. The buses are clean, run on time and have convenient pick up and drop off locations. (I love that Vamoose is so close to Penn Station.) However, the internet rarely works and when it does work it works very poorly. I really wish that this could be improved. Vamoose charges more than the other bus companies so its wifi should be a bit better, not worse, than the other buses.
Vamoose is the best
Vamoose is the most reliable bus company I've used to travel from NY to DC and vice versa. The only thing I would say is that I wish they had a stop in DC. I pick vamoose over all other companies because of its great service, but neither of their locations are close to where I need to go in DC.

vamoose regular
I always take Vamoose from NY to VA. One negative was the wifi just really did not work for us. Which was unfortunate because we were trying to get work done on the bus. Bus ride down we sat on the right side of the bus on the way back we sat on left hand side. Left seemed to have much less leg room, not that comfortable.
July 19: NYC-Arlington via 1530 Gold Bus
I only recommend that seat numbering especially for those of us who have purchased two ticket with our spouse, that the two seat configuration have assigned seats so that we can sit together. It may sound meaningless, but it creates potential tension when politely asking someone, "do you mind switching seats so that I can sit with my spouse?" Then the remaining seats in the two seat configuration can be filled by single seat ticket holders.
NYC to DC
Took Vamoose from NYC to DC on a Sunday afternoon. Left on time, got there on time. Wifi was as good as expected. Would do it again.
A wonderful way to go to NYC
As usual, my trips to and from NYC were just as advertised by Vamoose. My reservations were placed and taken with no trouble over the internet. The busses were clean, roomy, and the rides wee very relaxing. Even though there was an unscheduled stop by the Maryland police to check all records, etc., we made good time. That is why I highly recommend Vamoose.

Scheduling, rescheduling and rescheduling the reschedule are all possible with Vamoose Bus. I have never had a problem with the service or staff in NYC or MD. If I arrive at the stop early, I can get on an earlier bus if there is a seat. All my friends know of your service. Don't change much of anything.

Even though there was a bad traffic jam near the end, the driver took an alternate route to avoid the mess. Cooperatively, i was able to be seated on an earlier bus than I booked.
Great bus service from DC to NYC
Clean, quiet, decent bathrooms considering they're on a bus, helpful staff . . . It was my first time on Vamoose and I would definitely choose it again.
