Many people also appreciate the flexible scheduling options and engaging lessons that make complex concepts much easier to understand and enjoy.
However, some reviewers were not happy with unexpected charges, hidden subscription fees, and confusing billing practices. I love my tutor but Varsity is a challenging company and website. I only stay with Varsity because I like my tutor very much.

Great job with my 6 year old daughter teaching her vocabulary and reading comprehension on a different level other than the way she is taught in public school
My tutor Lucy was phenomenal, well prepared for each session and she has shared some new reading skills which i can use for the rest of my life. Todd Hunkins
I have great rapport with my Tutor and really enjoy each session.
My only complaint is that on a couple of occasions I have had to cancel due to a power outage or computer issues. On these times I notified Varsity Tutors but my Titor was not made aware that I would miss my session. This vommunication needs to be improved.
Otherwise I love the service!
Thank you.
Terry
My son really enjoyed being tutored for grade 11 Math. Farhan was able to teach him the concepts he needed to know in a way he was able to understand. His grade came up and his understanding of math is improved a ton, he is able to actually do and understand the problems, not just pass a test. He worked with Farhan for most of this semester and would work with him again next school year.
I am so grateful that I was able to partner with this company and enrolled my kid for tutoring. I see great improvement with his grades and the tutor was very knowledgeable, and creative with her tutoring skills.
I will recommend this program to everyone.
Pat Crow is awesome. He makes learning simple and fun and gives us great materials to study at home. Her grade level went up in such a short time. My daugther had a whole new confidence in reading.
