Varsity tutors provided me with a great tutor!

Varsity tutors provided me with a fantastic tutor! My tutor is brilliant, patient, professional, and nice. I’m learning so much from her in every tutorial session! Also, the Varsity Tutors support staff (customer service) is great. They take the time to answer my questions about billing and to walk me through the online resources available on their website.

I am learning Spanish. The tutors are proficient in grammar, use a variety of ways for me to learn, including grammar exercises, reading, translation, and dialogue. In addition, the software has a good user interface.

My daughter was hesitant about getting a tutor, but as a parent, I knew she needed one and was falling behind her final quarter of the year. We got started with her tutor one evening and she was absolutely amazing and very well educated! It’s hard for my daughter to open up or want to be on camera, so she kept her camera off, but was interactive during the full session. How well engaged and motivated she was with her tutor was so great to see. What was tears and frustration for a few weeks, turned around quickly in a few session and finished with an A! Her tutor broke the concepts down when my kid was stuck, walked her through scientific examples, and checked in to make sure my daughter was understanding. So thankful!

We are very happy

Our tutor has made a huge difference with my daughter. I love the flexibility. The only thing I wish is that hours rolled over at least a month. Or when when my our session is rescheduled and it falls into the next month I wouldn’t get charged for more hours.

Laura was a wonderful tutor with Varsity Tutor! My 4th grade daughter's math, reading comprehension, and vocabulary skills improved significantly with her guidance. She was patient with my daughter and responded to all of my requests for focusing on certain topics or rescheduling sessions with kindness and prompt. Laura has a special talent working with young kids. I highly recommend her to families!

Don't Work Here

Don't work there. It's a complete scam. I still haven't received payment for my first 4 sessions, incentive pay (+$1.00/hr for repeated sessions) didn't kick in until session 5, they only ever matched me with one student despite being available for many dozens of subjects. I created four separate support tickets on their platform and they closed them before the problem was resolved, making it impossible for me to reply. They also deactivated my account before they paid me because I told them I moved to Colorado and they don't allow that for tax reasons. I'm probably about to get in a legal battle over less than $100. Not worth it - stay away.
