Wgt was a brilliant game. I always played 9 holes against another opponent somewhere in the world. Now the have Messed with the software again which has turned it into a load of Crappola. The people who get Paid to mess with a perfectly good game are always the people who are responsible for it's downfall. Sad. I've been a member for year's. I'm gonna look elsewhere from now on.
I was a long time player of WGT and really enjoyed the online game. WGT constantly changes the web layout, where choices are made, and in general just shift things around. Today, 09-01-2026 I logged on and once again the whole format was changed. Choices were even hard to select and not clear about cost. I selected a game and lost over 600,000 coins in one match. Tee boxes moved around, just anything to piss you off.
Every time they do an update this game gets worse. They have just done another update can't find my goto quick game. I do wish they wouldn't fix what isn't broken.
I joined the showdown, paid my way in, couldn’t get an opponent for 10 minutes, so I came out with the intention of trying again. Went back in and found out I was three over par. Amazing since not only did I not take a single shot but I never even had an opponent. very poor admin. Can I have my credits back?
This game is just a pile of crap. Oh, it LOOKS good, but they change something all the time, and every change LOOKS good, but the game gets worse and worse. I played for 5 years, and when I started, it was fun. By the time I made the Legend Tier, it got to be less and less fun. I finally deleted my account because I simply did not even enjoy playing any more.

@wgtgolf is a scam organization. I’m not sure what is driving their decisions but I paid for a year of premier service. They took my money. Then a month later they closed my account stating I created multiple profiles which did not happen. I was a customer for 10 years. Probably a good thing for me. That said, I want my money back which they have declined. Time to contact the BBB l, file a police report, dispute the charge, and go scorched earth on social media. #WGTscam #WGTGolfscam
Meter was always glitchy but the new format was just a total meltdown. Games won't load screen freezes complete pixelization of all the graphics. Oddly enough the only time it doesn't glitch up is when it takes your money when you buy their overpaid price balls or clubs. Hard pass
I've played WGT online off and on for 7 years. There are two ways to go. A slow grind of accumulating free coins to eventually upgrade clubs OR periodically upgrading equipment at a cost. WGT offers a free non-expiring ball as well as low spin, medium spin, and high spin at a cost for a sleeve of three. Better ball means more wins which means earned credits. Players able to develope a strong game eventually win credits which cover play costs. If you don't possess skills or play tired or drunk it's not the best experience. If you honestly wish to develope and earn credits it's good fun. Eventually joining a free Country Club offers more tournaments to earn more credits. When I started I spent about $10 per month on upgrades. I am now advanced and rarely add money to play, I win often enough. Much like real golf progression. Top players earn hundreds of thousands in credits.

For your own Tournaments, you may want to try setting the course conditions manually to make them a bit easier to play. I don't know what you did in your last update but things really suck. Jamming up, and when you try to restart to reset a game, oh what a surprise, no reset and the coin you had on the game...of course lost. Maybe an onboard reset button to un jam a game on the platform that doesn't require shutting it down completely. Been with this game since 2008, what a shame it's still so mediocre.
The game is great, however some of the users commit fraud, the top teams use the all in room to boost their players coin balance by millions. This gives them an unfair advantage in turf war events. The Texas Golf Club use discord to enter the room at same time usually get matched as nobody plays there as you might lose all your coins

My experience with WGT has been very different from time to time, I have been a playing member since 2012,And a lot has changed over the years. My greatest problem is how they manage to manipulate the different meter speeds from shot to shot , If WGT wants your ball in the water to steal it , Its going in the water no matter what you do, I call it WGT ball stealing mission, and they do it quite often, I recommend not buying very expensive balls , It doesn't matter what ball you use , If WGT wants it they are going to take it from you.
