I purchased the insurance thinking I might have to use it. The hotel I booked was for my blind sister and me. We were going to attend a family reunion. As the event got closer, my sister became very anxious about staying in the hotel thinking about the unfamiliar surroundings and more. So when it was clear she would not stay overnight I cancelled the reservation expecting to be refunded. I was denied the refund because a blind anxious sister wasn’t on your list of problems. Now I am out the 200 dollars and the 12 dollars I paid as a help for me. I never bought traveling insurance before and never will again.

The flight we booked with Alaska was cancelled at the last minute. So we never took the flight. When we filed to get an insurance refund we were told it was too late to file. As far as we’re concerned you are just running a scam to take people’s money. If we could give you zero stars we would you provide no service for a flight that was cancelled (due to no fault of ours) and didn’t have the decency to return money that was never applied since the trip never happened. Read the fine print first

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience with your company. Your customer service was great. It wasn’t about that. It was about your point of buying insurance. Were you buying tickets online and you have nine minutes to get it you don’t read the fine print nobody ever does so when you go to actually use it because I could not go to the event they denied the claim which I think is totally bogus why by insurance if you can’t use it, I will never buy insurance from this company again maybe it’s my fault for not reading the fine print, but I guarantee you next time I will that I’m sorry there won’t be a next time

Tried to reach allianz through their customer service and never received a response I do not recommend this company at all. They will take your money eagerly but will not refund when someone has an emergency situation. Received excellent service from American - will not ever purchase flight insurance from Allianz.
