I have had to use Allianz for two separate trips and both times the process was seamless. I don't travel with buying a protection plan from Allianz.
Useless Insurance
After purchasing the insurance for a concert through Ticketmaster, I didn't receive the policy. There should be more details on how the policy works when purchasing. For personal reasons, I was unable to attend and wasn't offered a portion of my ticket back, and the customer service person wasn't very helpful. She also mentioned someone from management would contact me, and I was never emailed or called. In the end, I had to sell my tickets for way under the value. I would not use this insurance again.

My flight was cancelled early in the morning of the day I was leaving. Allianz reimbursed me $150 (max payout) to help cover extra expenses. I received the money very quickly. Their customer service super was very helpful.

I have never turn in an insurance claim in my life and I have heard horrible stories. I could not believe how easy and painless this process was!! I had a lot of anxiety about the process and no matter how disappointed I was that I had to use it afterwards it made me feel at ease. Thank you so much!! And I will always take the policy when buying tickets in the future!!!
Allianz travel insurance was great
Allianz travel insurance was great! My spouse had health issues that came up and couldn't make the trip. Once I submitted all the documents stating the health issues, my money was refunded. I had no problem getting my refund. Thank you, Allianz!
