I went into my local Asda today in Cheltenham, where the cafe is run by the Compass Group (based in Birmingham) and the cafe worker overcharged me. I asked for an automatic refund and she refused. She said it couldn't happen! I asked to speak to the Manager and she said she didn't have one. The farce continued for a bit (she said I might as well order something else to make up the amount but I didn't fancy anything) so before I left she pretended that she was reimbursing me on the card reader (where there was no reading whatsoever) and she made me put my card on it, even though it was blank. Is this a scam or sheer incompetence? I am logging it with Trading Standards as it worries me that she is serving a lot of older and more vulnerable people.

I had an excellent experience at the Hounslow Asda thanks to Harpal. She provided outstanding customer service—friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout my visit. Harpal went above and beyond to make sure I found everything I needed and made the whole shopping experience pleasant and stress-free. It's always great to be served by someone who genuinely cares about customers. Thank you, Harpal, for your excellent service. You're a real credit to the Hounslow Asda team!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hygiene optional

You would think someone who works in a place that sells food hygiene would be paramount but there are employees at Darlaston who think soap and water and deodorant are optional. One in particular I can smell before I see him so much so I avoid going there now and go to Morrisons now. Honest he looks like he has never seen a bath in his life. Disgraceful. I’m glad he’s not on the tills as if he touched my food I’d be disgusted. Having emailed twice to customer service I have had zero reply. It seems they do not care for personal hygiene or cleanliness so it makes me think their whole story is dirty.

I specifically went to Asda to buy a pizza meal deal for the England game. When I arrived, I saw the pizza counter being closed early, so I had to choose from the pre-made pizzas instead of being able to pick my own toppings. After paying and booking a taxi home, I started to question the total I’d been charged. Looking at my receipt, I realised I’d been charged separately for the pizzas, which I can only assume could be that sourdough pizzas aren’t included in the meal deal but I didn’t get clarification after calling Asda support. I ended up paying £12.50 instead of the £7 I was expecting. Had I known this beforehand, I would have just ordered Domino’s instead. I contacted Asda customer support, who said they would transfer me to the store, but after being put on hold I was sent straight to voicemail. I had already booked my taxi, so I couldn’t return to query the price in person. I went out of my way to shop at this Asda as it isn’t my local store, so the whole experience was very disappointing. Better communication about what is and isn’t included in the meal deal, along with improved customer service, would have made a big difference. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I’m unlikely to return.

My local store has now changed to all unmanned tills. This will be the last time we use Asda for shopping or petrol. How stupid people were leaving their shopping and walking out.

Slop disguised as cheese slices

In the past 12 months Asdas 10 Cheesy Cheese Slices have not only increased in prices but have reduced in quality. What was once a moderate cheese slice is now slop in a wrapper. I will no longer buy them. You can if uou want to.

Not the kind of customer service i had hoped for.

Called in ASDA West Bridgford this morning to do some shopping. The marvels that are the self service tills (where they get you to work for them by scanning your own goods) were playing up yet again. Three members of staff in the self check out area but could not catch anyone's eye to help me when the self scan machine froze. Asked for help, and was met with a terrible attitude from one of the women customer service members. Looked over at her is disbelief at what she had just barked at me only to find her then giving me the dirtiest of dirty looks. I was actually quite shocked as this has never happened to me before by someone with such a bad attitude in a retail environment. Thinking about the incident now i should have walked out there and then in disgust and left my shopping mid scan at the self scan station and simply walked away. I will do this in the future if this ever happens to me again. I can't see myself shopping at ASDA again after this and i have been an ASDA regular for many years. This business has definitely gone down hill over time and is a shadow of what it once was when the customer was put first. Reading the reviews, ASDA really needs to sort their staff (and produce) out and have direct accountability at many of their stores or they will go to the wall, as i and others on here etc decide to take our money and custom and shop elsewhere, where we are welcome and where it is a more friendly environment to shop and spend our cash. A footnote - Marks & Spencer (M&S) is top of the UK's friendliest Supermarket league table.

This year however it is crap after loads of shopping trips absolutely no rewards only reward points I have came from Asda credit card use. And as i have found litter on line and the points are nonexistent i may as well use Aldi

I would not give them anything

I would not give them anything just came out of their Newmains store no check out operators no one to ask no store managers had to self scan and try to complain you get directed to a chat site which wants to charge you! my complaint is no check out operators and scanning stuff it needed to be verified with a member of staff asked why the response a bit strange due to their offers needs someone to check so why not have check out operator apparently to stop shoplifting reason self check outs try and not use them if you want me to use self checkouts then pay me for doing what you pay a member of staff

UNBELIEVABLE EXPERIENCE!

UNBELIEVABLE EXPERIENCE! Did an online shop for delivery later on in the day, as I am currently unwell and unable to leave the house. All went through and money taken. Time slot arrived and no delivery? Called Asda and they said the order hadn’t gone through! How can it not go through when i had confirmation and the money had been taken! I explained that I needed the money back to buy food from somewhere else and the manager was SO rude. She said she couldn’t do anything to help and I’d get my money back in 5 days!! I asked her for suggestions on how I would eat for the next 5 days and she said if you really need food you’ll find it!! HOW RUDE! So basically Asda stole my money, left me without food or money to get any and said that despite being unwell and unable to leave the house that I could get food if I really wanted to!!! The point is I shouldn’t have to!!! I paid for a large online shop to be delivered and they didn’t keep their end of the deal!! It’s utterly disgraceful!!!

Missing item. Rubbish delivery and rude driver!

Ordered from here last week and everything was fine delivery was spot on. This time I had one item missing and asked for a refund request and they said “sorry we could not approve your refund request” what sort of joke is this, if something doesn’t turn up you should be refunded for it. Absolute joke. Won’t be using again.

The order that disappeared

I ordered an item from Asda George with a collection date of Thursday 28th May. The tracking duly showed my item as in transit on the morning of the Thursday. . I assumed that my order would be ready for collection that evening although the tracking still showed in transit. It wouldn't be the first time that the status fails to update. Therefore I walked to my local Asda store, only to be told that my order had not been received and not to worry, the delivery vehicle had probably just hit a delay and would be arriving soon. I repeated this twice the following day, walked to the store, and queued only to be told that my order was still in transit. The day after I phoned customer services twice. Once I was told that it's still in transit, once that it had been received and could be collected from the store. They even gave me a reference to show at the store. When I walked to the store once again, they could not locate my order. It was clear that it had disappeared and nobody knew what had happened or where it was. On the 2nd June I phoned customer services to tell them that I no longer wanted the item, as it was a gift and it was now too late. They apologised, cancelled the order, promised me the refund and a £10 electronic voucher for the inconvenience. 5 days later I got a text telling me that my order was ready for collection, and five days later a reminder to collect it. I phoned customer services again, and found out that neither the cancellation nor the refund had been processed. I had received the voucher though, although it's no good for me as it's got limited validity, during which I'm spending time abroad so cannot use it. Once again, they said they'll process the cancellation and the refund. On the 18th June I got an email telling me that as I hadn't collected my order, it will be returned and a refund processed. “We're sorry your items were not quite right this time.” I spent several hours walking to and from my Asda store, a half hour walk each time, more time than I care to think about waiting in a queue to talk to customer service. I was never told what had happened, and in the end I was blamed for not collecting my order. I was really disappointed. The order was a gift item that I had promised to buy. I will not place another order and would advise anyone not to order anything from Asda George unless you have all the time in the world to wait for your order.
