Carmax buying experience was good. I looked online found what I wanted got preapproved on my bank website. Went there with a check and walked out in less than three hours.

Great customer service

I bought a car in July and I was able to return the car within the 10 day period. No problems, I was able to purchase a second vehicle without any issues, I just paid the difference. This is a great company, competitive prices, I was treated with great respect. I will be coming back to Carmax for my next car.

I had a Mini Cooper Convertible shipped from FL to SC. CarMax tracked the delivery of the car and kept me informed. When it arrived they did an extensive check and cleaning before I arrived for the test drive. The sales agent was very polite and professional. There were a few things that needed to be addressed, and the Service Manager was knowledgeable and capable. He took charge of what was needed and took the necessary action to repair the issues. The sales staff made it extremely easy all through the buying process. We were pleased with the price of the vehicle and would highly recommend CarMax.

Great Car, Very Disappointing Experience

I had a very frustrating experience with CarMax. The car took three weeks to be shipped, which was already much longer than expected. When it finally arrived, the car was dirty and clearly had not been properly prepared for delivery. I also had to argue with the dealership about the condition of the tires before they agreed to replace the two rear tires. Unfortunately, one of the replacement tires went flat almost immediately. I specifically told the salesperson that I wanted the extended warranty, but it was not added to my financing as requested. On top of that, my credit was run three separate times because the salesperson repeatedly made mistakes during the financing process. The only reason I went through with the purchase was because I really liked the car. If I hadn't, I would have taken my business elsewhere. For a company like CarMax, I expected a much smoother and more professional buying experience. There were simply too many issues from start to finish, and the car's condition upon arrival only added to the frustration. I also specifically told the salesperson that I wanted the extended warranty, but it was not added to my financing as requested. The only reason I went through with the purchase was because I really liked the car. If I hadn't, I would have taken my business elsewhere. Overall very good experience

It was great that I could do all my research and searching online on your website. I also really liked that you could schedule an appointment and they would ship a car from one dealership to another. The actual buying process was good as well because I did my pre-qualification for our loan online ahead of time so it didn't take as long. The only thing I would say wasn't great was that our salesperson had two families buying a car at the same time because someone didn't check his schedule before making our appointment. They also didn't fill our car up with gas when we left the dealership so we had to stop on the way home to fill up the tank. Overall it was a very good experience though.

I wanted to buy a car on the lot, but at the time of purchase they said they couldn't because they didn't have the title, I waited a week and still no title. This was they worst experience I had.I thought after buying 3 vehicles before it would be nice, I was wrong. I don't think you should wear carmax cares shirts cause you don't.

I came into Carmax wanting a Bronco…

I came into Carmax wanting a Bronco however it was not what I expected when I actually seen it in person so that put me back at square one with not knowing what I truly wanted. Lannoris showed me a Kia Sportage and I instantly fell inlove however it was black with red interior that had me at an awwww but the price and down payment was out my budget. Lannoris is continued to worked with me and I walk out with a white 2023 Kia Sportage black leather interior which is everything I wanted and a sunroof to top it off. He kept my down payment and monthly payments right at where I wanted it. Thank you so much to Lanorris I rode off with a car I actually love and enjoy driving. He did an amazing job.
