I'm deeply dissatisfied with Choice Home Warranty and their unreasonable claim handling process.I filed a claim for a covered washing machine, only to have it denied based on complete speculation rather than facts. The assigned technician reported that I "overloaded" the washing machine and caused the damage. This technician has never been in my home during a laundry cycle, has never seen how I operate my machine, and had zero factual basis to make such an assumption.to make matters worse, the CHW)case manager spent less than five minutes reviewing the file before siding with the repairman's baseless accusation. Taking a service provider's unfounded opinion over the word of a paying customer-without performing any actual investigation or providing proof-is completely unethical. CHOICE HOME WARRANTY looks for quick excuses to deny valid claims rather than honoring the coverage customers pay for. i strongly warn anyone considering their service to look elsewhere.

I have had a very poor experience with…
I have had a very poor experience with Choice Home Warranty, especially when dealing with major appliances and home systems such as microwaves, water heaters, and HVAC units. Their response and repair times are simply too slow for urgent situations. Last week, a technician came to my home to assess several items included in an existing claim. During the inspection, we discovered that my electric water heater was leaking. The technician advised me to add the water heater to the open claim, which I immediately did. I later received an email stating that I would be required to pay $1,250 out of pocket for “modifications” before the water heater could be replaced. I disputed this amount because my home was built in 2012, and no one provided a reasonable explanation or detailed breakdown showing why $1,250 in modifications would be necessary for a standard water-heater replacement. Meanwhile, the other items, several, that were submitted on the claim were not even repaired, with one being denied. I am currently appealing that denial at this moment. I requested to speak with a case manager to resolve the issue. Before I could receive assistance, the water heater began leaking much worse and flooding my garage. I contacted Choice Home Warranty again and explained that the situation had become an emergency, but I was told that I still had to wait for a case manager to be assigned. When I finally received the case manager’s information by email, last night, 5 August 2026, I was sent a calendar link to schedule a telephone appointment. There were no appointments available until the middle of the following week, even though water was actively leaking into my garage. I called again today and explained that the leak was getting worse and that I needed immediate assistance. No case manager was available, and when I requested a supervisor, I was told that none were available. I was then told I would have to wait until after 5:00 p.m. Central Time to speak with the case manager. This is not the first time I have experienced these unacceptable delays. In May 2026, my air-conditioning system stopped working. Choice sent a technician who performed what appeared to be a temporary repair. In June 2026, the system stopped working again, requiring another claim. It then took more than 20 days for Choice Home Warranty to replace the air-conditioning unit and a cost of over $3000 in out of pocket expense. During that time, temperatures inside my home averaged approximately 90 to 96 degrees each day. Customers purchase home warranties for assistance when major systems fail. They should not have to wait days to speak with a case manager or more than 20 days for essential systems to be repaired or replaced. My experience with Choice Home Warranty has involved unreasonable delays, poor communication, difficulty reaching supervisors, questionable out-of-pocket charges, and a complete lack of urgency during serious situations. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Choice Home Warranty.
