What people say

Extended warranty failed when I needed it most

I purchased a 5-year extended warranty from Consumer Priority Service for my ComfyGo power wheelchair on 4/23/2025 for $336.65. The warranty was advertised as including Onsite, In-Home, and Prepaid coverage. When my power wheelchair became unusable, I filed a claim and paid the required $125 deductible. CPS assigned the claim to WSR Solutions, the manufacturer-authorized service provider, but the assignment was later canceled due to the cost of sending a technician to my home. CPS then asked me to find my own provider, pay upfront, and seek reimbursement. This does not align with the coverage I purchased. My power wheelchair is essential medical equipment, and I have been forced to rely on a borrowed manual wheelchair while this remains unresolved. I contacted multiple CPS representatives, including management, and escalated the matter to their Relationship Management Team. CPS's proposed resolution was to refund the cost of the extended warranty plan and cancel the warranty. While I appreciate the offer, a refund does not resolve the loss of the service benefit I purchased or restore my mobility. I hope CPS will reconsider and provide a resolution that honors the coverage that was sold and allows me to get my wheelchair repaired or replaced.
