What reviewers say

AI generated

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many consumers frequently complained about poor build quality and persistent hardware failures, noting that screens, cameras, or charging ports broke shortly after purchase. People also encountered unhelpful customer service teams and entirely unresponsive warranty support when attempting to resolve these frustrating problems. Though some customers mentioned positive experiences, such as receiving prompt replacements from support, enjoying reliable battery life, or appreciating solid device construction, these instances were less common overall. Buyers also pointed out that certain budget models provided functional features and decent network download speeds for everyday use despite the general drawbacks.

What people say

Doogee makes Great Phones for the Price.

Doogee makes Great Phones for the price. Lots of cool features; but the quality/expected life is less than the major brands. Good for a year or two. And that is when most folks replace their phones to update technology anyway.

Doogee after sales service (not)

Purchased a Doogee s90 via Alibaba Singapore 12 Jan 2020. No Complaints. We used the phone intermittently for 5 months, then the Microphone stopped working. Contacted Doogee in China and comenced a lengthy email corrospondence chain which resulted in them asking for the phone to be returned for repair. I returned the phone via registered Australia Post to the address instructed by the Doogee representative, at my cost of AU$32.00. Also sent a photo of the post bag with address details and a copy of the tracking receipt to their email. 17 September 2020. The post item was returned yesterday 14 Jan 2021 as undeliverable. Obviously the item remains unusable due to no microphone. All email corrospondence was to zhoujiekun at doogee.cc (yes I know, he is the Doogee "fix it man" on many of this sites complaints about their phones) I let you draw your own conclusions as to the reliability of this "industrial grade" phone and the appaling lack of after sales service. Maybe it is an instruction from CCP not to deal with Australian warranty claims.

I am very sorry for the unpleasant experience. The situation you encountered is a special case: we, as the recipient, cannot normally pay taxes and clear customs from the customs office. This situation caused the package to stay at the customs and finally reached the deadline for return. The mobile phone was returned to you in an unrepaired state. We also have other solutions: send you the accessories you need, and you can find professionals nearby to replace them.

No refund

Really bad customer service like zero. They don't refund even though they received the phone back. Don't ever buy anything from them.

dont by from Doogee

I bought a Doogee S88pro from Aliexpress (that lasted less than 10minuts; wille at first charge, it went dead.) Doogee never accepted the blame and tryed me to sent to repaire somewere in Poland... Over the internet we can find the same issue not only in the s88 but in lots of theyre cellphones Im in Portugal and bought it from a warehouse in France because I dont like to wait just to save a few Euros nor trust chinese word in general due to past issues and in Doogee in particular due to a failed previouse attempt of buying the same model (from Sunsky) were the purchase was droped due to lack of lots of things and deadlines. They have refund me LESS money as they claimed theyre coin have lost value... (I have bougt in Euros, they gave me back less Euros??) just thief excuse. I gave up the purchase this time also from Aliexpress and opened a dispute. Aliexpress gave me the reason and my money will be refund they say... but i had to send it to CHINA, not france frome were the phone was ordered ! Im still waiting to be refunded, after a long time slow-boating the cell phone have arrived there. Lets see if they dont give me more thiefe sordid excuses and just refund me properly.

Worst customer service in the world

I've bought multiple DooGee devices, my S90 was pretty much bomb proof, but some kindly soul stole it! I made the hideous mistake of buying an S88 Pro. It has two 'emergency' buttons on the side of it which constantly get pushed when turning on the device or using volume control. I emailed their support about giving me the option to turn them off. They flatly refused to even consider my complaint until I sent them a video of my problem!! So I got out the GoPro, tripod, put together a little video, spent some time re-encoding it down to a size that was actually sensible and sent it off to them. Then I got no reply, for weeks. I kept on emailing, to eventually get a reply claiming that my email address had been added to their spam folder! Not only that, but they also pointed out that the issue I was complaining about was well known and they were thinking about it! So I had to spend hours putting together video for something they knew full was a problem. Unbelievably rude and a complete waste of my time! I fixed the issue myself, I bought a silicone case and cut out the buttons, so they're really hard to push now, although I still manage it sometimes. Why on earth you'd want an emergency contact button that you can press accidentally is just beyond me, but DooGee will tell you that people want it! What irritates me the most is I could just switch them off on my S90 but not on their so called flagship S88 Pro... Anyway, the sad story continues... I woke up one day to my alarm, reached out of bed for my phone, to switch it off. It slipped out of my hand, landed side on to a glass on my floor and destroyed my phone. A rugged phone, a rugged military spec phone, destroyed by a glass!! So I took photos, sent them an email explaining the above, explaining that because they put the thumb reader on the side, any impact in that area destroyed the thumb reader and caused a short circuit. Of course, I was informed that this was not going to be covered by warranty! I had the phone for about two months... So I then made the terrible mistake of ordering another S88 Pro, I genuinely wish I had bought something else. If I could turn back time...but I can't function without a phone and it was a snap decision made whilst I was upset. Multiple emails later, I finally get an address to send my phone, to get it fixed, which I posted on 27/11/2020 by registered mail. That's the last I ever saw of my phone, to date. No one was at the address to recieve my phone, they attempted delivery no less than eight times, according to my tracking information it was actually recieved on 17th Dec, three weeks after it originally arrived in country! Yes, COVID is probably an issue, but does COVID prevent anyone from typing an email? No. I have been emailing DooGee since I sent the phone, asking for them to simply acknowledge receipt. I got an email 8th December telling me that they had spoken to their guy and he knew it was there, yet it still took another ten days and several delivery attempts before my tracking finally stopped. I guess I have to assume that they have put my email back into their spam folder, because they refuse to reply at all now! Maybe they're all on holiday, except they forgot to turn on the auto-reply. Who knows? I do know that this has made me extremely angry. I paid almost 200 UKP for that phone, it lasted less than three months and most worrying, ALL my apps are still installed on it. I could not do a factory reset because the short circuit was causing the thumb reader to short circuit and severely over heat and I was concerned I might actually get my battery to explode! I've sent it to some random person in Poland, who took weeks to even bother picking it up and at no point have DooGee made the slightest effort to let me know what is going on. All because I dropped it, from less tham 1m, inside, on to the rim of a glass. Had they left the thumb reader on the back of the phone, like the S90, I would still have a functional phone. You'd think this was enough, but I am not done. About a month ago, the camera on my second (newer) S88 just ceased to function properly. It lost the ability to focus. Again, I found myself emailing support, who claimed it was not a hardware issue, but software. They knew all about it and they expected an update to be released within a week, fixing the issue. Instead, I have spent a month unable to do anything that requires QR codes, so internet banking and crypto have become impossible or highly complicated. I have been unable to send any photos to anyone on WhatsApp, I could not use my phone to take any photos this Xmas... So I would say, if you get a device from DooGee that works, cherish it, because if/when it breaks, you are going wish you never bought it.

Chargers failed in under 12 weeks

Both chargers cord and wireless failed in under 12 weeks, bought this phone for the battery life pointless if it take 27 hours to recharge. Typical Chinese product. Relying on a single sale rather than repeat product loyalty.

Broken Screen

I am very disappointed with the product.  It was supposed to be rugged, but the screen broke after it fell on the first week. I would consider it was ok if it was a normal phone, but I bought it especially because it should be rugger than others. The worst is that no technical service nearby is able to replace the screen.

Reply from DOOGEE2021-01-05

Sorry for the unpleasant experience . The screen is always made of glass, and its fragile property cannot be eliminated. This feature can only be avoided by means of craftsmanship. For example, the bulletproof glass of the bank and the glass of the automobile are designed with multiple layers, so that the internal stress of the glass is uniformly balanced between the outside and the outside, so that only when the impact force is reached will the stress imbalance of the glass be completely broken. But the glass is the whole surface, it will always have the most fragile place: the edge, the stress balance state of the edge is easily broken, so the edge is often broken and scattered to the center of the screen. Therefore, the bulletproof glass of the bank is embedded in the wall to protect the edge. Take the characteristics of Rupert’s Tears (glass products) as an example. Maybe you can directly contact our email Support-service with your order information, maybe we can negotiate with your seller to give you a better solution.

Hi,I've bought a doogee…

Hi,I've bought a doogee smartphone, supposed to be tough, mine broke on the side and it has never had the opportunity to fall anywhere, great phone but has its downfall, thank goodness it hasn't reached any kind of water.

Reply from DOOGEE2021-01-05

Sorry for the unpleasant experience. Our rugged mobile phone is made of high-strength, impact-resistant glass, but it is still glass, and its relatively fragile properties are only reduced rather than eliminated. Please contact my private email [email protected] and tell me your order information, maybe I can negotiate with your seller to give you a better solution to the problem.

Display ,Youtube , movie graphics are awesome. The tehcnical side is 5/10 and sometimes very annoying

The screen is working ok , but suddenly it desides to strart going from down to up. Just restart the display and it fixes. The Youtube video quality is super good. I like it a lot but the really bad thing is. I cannot connect it to my pc. Like what the fluff? what is this?

Reply from DOOGEE2021-01-05

Good day, thank you for choosing Doogee. A large part of the reason why the computer cannot recognize the mobile phone is because the computer cannot correctly recognize the mobile phone and needs to install the corresponding driver software. You can contact my email address to obtain the driver software. My email address is: [email protected]

Worst cell phone on the market

I have had this phone for slightly over a week, and it has had problems since I pulled it out of the box. It is supposed to do 4g, but the best I can get out of it is 3G, apparently they do not have the correct bandwidth to do 4g, so why do they market the phone in the US if there's no way it can connect at 4g? Also,I have tried and tried to get the hotspot to work, but that has been totally unsuccessful. When I first received the phone it would not ring when someone called me, and finally after spending 2 or 3 hours trying to fix the problem, I changed the ringtone from the default one of "technology", and suddenly it began to ring when someone called. Lastly, and by far the most important horror story was that the cover over the SIM card slot was attached to the SIM card tray, and after I had used the phone for about 3 days, I wanted to remove the SIM card and put it back into my old phone, but when I did that, the cover over the door opening that attached to the tray broke off, leaving the SIM card tray with the SIM card and a data card still in it, embedded deep in the phone and impossible to remove. I have tried numerous methods that was suggested on YouTube, but the SIM card tray seems to be wedged against something and absolutely will not move. I have written to doogee twice now, with absolutely no response. If all the features of this phone worked, it would be a good phone, but now after having had the phone for 9 days, I have already ordered another new phone of a different brand. Obviously their warranty is nonexistent, same as the tech support.

Too many fake 5 star reviews on this…

Too many fake 5 star reviews on this site, all 1st time reviewers, quite a few seem to have famous names and all saying how good the company is, some use the exact same phrase Someone is fiddling the books to make them look good

Don't buy

Don't buy. S90pro software issues and no customer support. You can't just pop into your local mobile store to fix problems. You end up with poor communication between yourself and someone far away in another continent. Stay clear warranty means nothing because sending phone back is practically impossible due to communication barrier.
