The app is not very user friendly, attempting to find a button to upload a picture of a receipt is impossible, plus using a map button while trying to locate a gas station, good luck.

Great way to earn money back
Great way to earn money back. I earn small amounts over time and don’t expect hundred of dollars per month. Just a few dollars here and there. I have had very few issues over the years and when I did, the team was very responsive and fixed my issue immediately. The only reason I didn’t give 5⭐️ is because of the wildly different cash back rates between different users. Between my husband, mom, sis and brother in law, we all use the same grocery store. Between the 5 of us, we can all have a different rates varying from 2-12%. But we can’t figure out why some of us get better deals than others. (And we do know about bonuses and how to check for those and it doesn’t seem to be that.) 🤷♀️

If more businesses participated it would be a solid 5 Star app. Still I have earned free money from places I was already going to buy from. Plus I still get my cash back rewards from my credit cards so it's like getting free money twice. Nothing is free but two discounts for the same sale is great. Since I'm a Veteran and some places honor Veterans with a discount I end up with three discounts there. In some cases though when you use a gas station rewards to reduce the price the Upside cash back may be reduced.

Great for saving little bits that add up over time. A few glitches with transaction not found, usually resolved with support. Also net gas prices don't always gibe because stations change their prices so often. Wish more local business had deals with Upside because I prefer them over ones that do not.

Logged into my account and my money was gone total rip off 178 to 179.00 dollars gone I had never withdrew in money out of the account I just let keep building up and it’s gone will never use it again 😡

Yes it actually works, while it may not yield as much as the ads say. But it is genuine and you can accumulate a bit of fund. Cashing out is also easy. No tricks there. Customer service is very responsive. Usually within hours. Their responses are intelligent.

After being referred to upside, it's been my go-to when i think of restaurants and gas stations. Knowing I'll have cash back makes it really rewarding. Referring a friend has its perks too ($$). Highly recommend.

I really like the app and they have added Kroger to the list. I had a major issue with my email last week and couldn’t get into it so had to kill it and move upside to the new email. Everyone involved at Upside who helped me with this was fantastic! Great customer service!

Not worth trying.
I have bought gas twice since starting to use the app, and surprise, surprise! They cannot find the transactions of either one. They paid me for the in store purchases, but refuse to pay the amounts for the gas purchases made at the same time as the in store purchases. Cannot help but think this is a scam, especially when it comes to gas purchases. Will not be recommending this app. I will encourage not to use it in fact.

In use this app frequently and typically very happy with it! I would have given 5 stars ⭐️ instead of 4 but there are too many instances where bigger cash back offers (10% +) seem to conveniently come back days later with an email stating my transaction “couldn’t be found”. I’m extra thorough and insure I’m using the correct card on file and grade of fuel etc too. It ONLY happens on those more juicy pay outs. I recently went to a restaurant offering 20% cash back and when it came time to submit, it was an upload receipt option only. That’s fine, but the vendor doesn’t show the last four of the card used so eventually I got an email saying I didn’t get my cash back and here isn’t why yada yada yada…. The picture I submitted also included the edge of my card used to show the last four digits. I had to submit a ticket, upload the banking transaction from my bank through support to get it. Customer support is very friendly and willing to help so that is a win! At the end of the day, it’s free money. What’s not to love about that?!?

As most companies are using Al as customer support so is Upside. It was easy to ask the right question to get the help I need. AI does ask questions back to you but it is to help to get you to the proper area for support. My issue was resolved in less than 24 hours

Love Getting a Rebate
Considering the price of gas these days, it's nice to get a lil rebate per gal. After a while, your purchases start to add up and can be cashed in for $$$ or gift cards. I just made my first redemption for a $50 Texas Roadhouse gift card. Will be enjoying dinner there tonight!
