I think this app everyone should have if you don’t mind claiming the service prior and taking a picture of your receipt to upload to the app. Everyone gets gas, goes out to dinner , and goes grocery shopping. I think the customer service is very helpful. However, I’m still learning when you pay with a QR code. I usually save about 100.00 annually, perhaps more.

I give this company’s customer service an A+ but I do agree with others in that they occasionally will lose a transaction. However, with a little effort on my part by providing a copy of the receipt, prompt settlement is made. I will continue to make use of Upside.

I love saving money and it is very easy to move my earned cash back to my bank. It was not intuitive about how to photograph longer receipts- need more guidance or easy button for that.

Great idea. Great options with a win-win strategy for customers and business. But during app usage, I had a few minor issues: sometimes receipts didn't go through. You need to contact customer support. Let's agree: to receive less than a dollar, the time costs more. How to improve it? To all "under review" payments, give simple options to process transactions for customers. It's easy as 1-2-3. First step - confirm the amount. Second - show your receipt/bank statement. Hope someone will read this review and make this app perfect.

There are times when it gets close to the end of the month the credit from using upside do not come through. I think they need to update their processing to check that what they receive from vendors match up with the date that a claim was made. I had gas offers I claimed and the processing from the vendor doesn’t go through for a day to a few days but it’s not checked by upside as to the claim date and the date it is processed to them. So can’t give them 5 stars. Because upside seems to not process and I lose credits for the number of times in a month I use it.

Upside is awesome. I wish they would have started up 20 years ago. I love the fact that I get real money back and the transfer from the app to my bank account is seamless. I’ve very rarely had to contact customers support, but the couple of times that I have contacted them, it was a refreshing experience. I’ve ended my interaction with customer support each time with the same thought in my head. I was amazed that they treat you as if they are employed by you. They are prompt with their responses and very thorough with resolving your concerns or issues. I would recommend Upside to everyone in the world. I love this company.

Not always easy to use. Was told that transactions weren’t found on a card that’s been used before. Good news is after dealing with an AI chat bot I received an email and it was actually fixed. Cudos for that.

The helpful feedback from customer service is outstanding. I frequently have issues with Chevron receipts though. They either don't submit their info back to Upside or something else. The vendors that don't require me to submit a photo of the receipt, only confirmation of the card used, seem to be much more responsive.

I would highly recommend using Upside for discounts on numerous things. They’re adding new locations also, so it’s only getting better. I use it mostly for gas, but the restaurant discounts are good too. They just recently added some new grocery shopping deals. Thank you Upside!

I’m a fan of the Upside App and the payback reward happens quickly. To date I’ve only used the app for gas purchases. My only complaint is that the recommended merchants in my area have been in some rather sketchy areas of town with only a few working gas pumps. The gas statin I tried to use today was pretty bad, so I left without making a purchase. Other than that, the app is actually good and fun to use. I would recommend it just for the cash back savings.

I’ve always liked the program but now very upset that they have taken away the ability to slide my money saved into PayPal Savings anymore. I utilize 5 Receipt programs. Ibotta and used to be Upside for PayPal savings, just over $1000 so far. Now since Upside took away Paypall I haven’t decided what to do yet! I don’t want my bank card linked. I have no use for the other options. I’ll probably just quit using Upside or keep collecting praying they bring PayPal back! They claim only 17% were linked to PayPal, That’s almost 1 in 5! Not real bad figures to kick up PayPal people to the curb! Presently very unhappy!

So far have been pretty happy with the app. The only downside is very few selection of stores in my area. And the more times I claim at the same store, the percentage decreases. But I'll still nickle and dime my way to a little cash.
