Worst insurance experience. Don’t waste your money on this insurance. I went to CityMD Urgent Care in Raritan after being told my visit was covered under my ISO insurance plan. When I submitted the claim, they refused to pay and told me I had to pay the full $250 because of a $400 deductible.
Why wasn’t this clearly mentioned on the portal? Saying a visit is “covered” is completely misleading if you still have to pay the entire bill. I only went for a headache and fever, and nothing was covered. Very poor transparency and a terrible experience.
The customer service was wonderful. My problem was solved within 30 minutes. They contacted my school and sent back the new documents right away which I truly appreciated.
I had a very positive experience with ISO. The team was consistently responsive, professional, and genuinely customer-oriented. Whenever I had questions or needed support, they handled everything quickly and efficiently, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. I felt well taken care of throughout, and I would definitely recommend their services to others looking for a reliable insurance provider.
As an international student, I found this insurance very misleading. The plan appeared affordable at first, but I later discovered that I had to pay a large deductible (around $400) before many benefits would apply. This information was technically included, but it was not presented clearly enough for students who may not be familiar with U.S. health insurance.
Another issue is that getting a doctor’s appointment can take weeks or even months. If you only need coverage for a short period, you may end up paying for insurance without being able to use it effectively.
I feel the company should do a much better job explaining out-of-pocket costs, deductibles, and how the coverage actually works before students purchase a plan. Transparency is very important, especially for international students who are already trying to manage limited budgets.”
This version sounds more credible and is more likely to be taken seriously by other students reading reviews.

Hi Mohammed,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand that U.S. health insurance can be unfamiliar for many international students.
To help students make informed decisions, key plan benefits, including deductibles, are displayed on our plan comparison page before purchase and are also detailed in the plan brochure available before, during, and after enrollment. We are committed to presenting this information clearly so students can better understand their coverage before choosing a plan.
Provider appointment availability is determined by healthcare providers and may vary by location and specialty. We appreciate your feedback and will continue improving how we educate and support our members.
Best,
ISO
Many thanks to Amy for helping guide me on how to submit the additional documents and for also checking whether the documents were acceptable. I hope this claim can be processed as soon as possible.
I have received excellent service so far regarding the insurance contract. All my questions have been answered quickly, and whenever I needed explanations or assistance, I received great support. Now I just have to wait and see in practice, when I actually need to use the insurance, whether it will truly be as good.
I would like to sincerely thank her for her support in helping me extend my insurance coverage for an additional six months. She was extremely helpful throughout the process and guided me step by step. I had also forgotten my login credentials, and she patiently assisted me in regaining access to my account. I truly appreciate her prompt support and professionalism.
Got denied for a claim due to "pre-existing conditions" which I was never diagnosed nor did I know I had one but they still claimed I had one so I basically got diagnosed for a condition by the insurance company. They wouldn't tell me how they came to the conclusion and the operator hanged up on me over the phone.

Hi, we are sorry to hear about your experience. As a broker, our office doesn’t process any claims and these pre-existing condition determinations are made by the insurance carrier and our claim department based on policy terms and provider medical records.
If you believe your claim was not processed correctly, you may submit an appeal with supporting documents. We’d also be happy to help review your case and provide further appeal instructions. Please contact us at [email protected].
Best,
