Completely offensive and out of line. DO NOT LET THEM IN YOUR HOME!!!

I am looking for stair lift companies to install immediately. The number I was called from this morning left this message and evidently closes at 4:30pm. This is exactly who you are letting inside your home when you choose Leaf Hone Stairlift: "What do you need something and you don't have the money? Hey, so if you saw this Max and you continue to both your children on social media, immediate blogs side, eye, as f***, I think you're a weirdo. If you don't know, all those red markers identify an IP address. That's an engagement you scan or sharing child sexual materials, and this is the number of them. Um, okay, okay. Go, go, go, go, go, go!"

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service! I have asked for the warranty on the stairlift that my Dad overpaid for. Buyer beware! You buy it and you pay for financing that is literally taking full advantage of elders. Run from this company. They are centrally based in Ohio. No store or showroom that we could find in our area or anywhere.

Grossly overpriced priced

Grossly overpriced priced. Then they do the call the manager to drop the price scam. And it's still over priced. Real sleazy tactics... Their competitors are cheaper and have better reviews. If you want to over spend, then go with Leaf.

After sale service is slow or non-existent

Product seems to work smoothly. I bought two. A short one with a folding rail used often and a long one used seldom. The long one had the batteries go dead after a month or two and it took them about three weeks to come out and fix it. They tightened everything down. and had me run it and all was fine. Then they tightened everything down on the short one. Did not try. Found chair tilted after serviceman left. They won't come out to fix it. They ignore me.

Received call today from leaf Home from…

Received call today from leaf Home from number 1-855-535-8603. I wanted a rep to come out and see about getting a stair lift. She said it had to be at least 28 inches wide which ours is 35 inches wide.. however she would not send a rep out if my husband wasn’t here to ok it?? I told her he works a lot he’s gone and he’s not my parent and I make decisions as well as he does, but I wanted them to come in two days to get going on the project and she said no. It’s very discriminatory. It’s like in the 70s when a wife could not get her own credit card without her husband’s approval. Very sad! Rhonda Wip

Remodeling Elder Bathrooms

Noah came over and gave us an understanding on remodeling our two bathrooms. I have to say, he was very helpful and pleasant to speak with. We cant wait to use them for more projects in the near future.

follow up service stinks

Had my unit installed and the installer was very professional end extremely helpful. He need a part that was not in his truck and went to another city to get it so installation could be done one one day. Several days go by and the unit starts making a noise that it never made in the past. I stopped using it because I did not if it was safe or not, called customer service (on a Thursday) was told someone would call be back as of Monday nobody returned my call. I called again and expressed my concerns, was transferred to somebody else that could not tell me if it was safe to use or not and told me he was in Oklahoma and they did not currently have anyone in Texas to look at it. Two weeks have gone by and I have a $9500 piece of equipment that I do not know if it is safe to use. This is totally unacceptable. Still waiting to hear from the repair people.

Leaf should be shut down immediately

Leaf should be shut down immediately. They are currently preying on the elderly community in South Florida and actively price gouging vulnerable people who need help. They quoted my retired parents $25,565 for a chair that should be quoted at around $6k or $7k. I felt incredibly disrespected as my father is a war veteran who deserves far more respect than this. Shut this place down.

Does Not Provide Product Information

We just purchased a chair, but I couldn't tell you which one we bought. These chairs are a lot of money. I wonder how many employees at Leaf Home Stairs Lift walk into random car dealerships and pay out 20K for any car without any information about the manufacturer or the car. Our salesman, Vic, refused to leave any product information, the quote didn't include any product information. When I asked for him to write the manufacturer on the order form (I had to leave before he finished) all he wrote was a generic description about a "curved stairlift". I get more information from jewelers. I tried to give the company an opportunity to address this issue before posting this review. I spoke to Cindy with customer service who can only send an email to the manager at the Chantilly office and haven't heard from anyone. My husband has been trying to reschedule our install date because everyone we spoke to said to expect 4-6 window, but our salesmale, Victor (Vic), wanted to install the following week. I don't believe he was being very honest because he showed me two different brands the first visit. At the subsequent visit, he told me the new (european version with two rail system) was only for people very heavy and straight tracks and yet when you look the system up, it is clearly for curves.

Leaf Home is not Harmar

We requested a contract for a stair lift for my 87 year old father. Initially, the salesman was a nice guy. However, he over sold the stair lift. He indicated that the stairlift they offered was made "in a production facility purchased by leaf home from Harmar in Sarasota." I asked which Harmar lift they were offering, and they said it was their brand. I asked which model it was, and was met with crickets. I asked that the contract spell out that the stairlift was indeed manufactured in the old Harmar facility, and was met with crickets. I asked for a model number to be entered on the invoice, and was met with crickets. I found out that Harmar still owns the production facility in sarasota, and asked for a salesperson. Interestingly, they indicated that Harmar has not sold the facility, they still manufacture their own lifts, and the price was $3,000.00 less than Leaf Home. If you are going to get a stair lift, get one from someone who is not telling stories to make a sale.

Lack of Emergency Service Support

we have had the leaf stair lift for about 4 months. we have needed help 3 times when the device would not function and the manual failed to provide the solution. the service department has only answered calls during normal working hours but my wife, who has Parkensons, cannot be stuck on an upper level of the house. the Leaf company has not "emergency" service 24/7 which creates a danger for my wife's mobility

No Customer Service

The chair lift made by Harmer may be a good product. I don't know as it does not work. The lift worked 1 time when the installer was here. The very next time we went to use it, it would not work. Repeated calls over 2 weeks elicited zero response from the company. I could get no further than the person answering the phone. No one called me back despite assurances they would. Managers were always "busy" or "on another line" or "in a meeting". I wonder what the response would be if my disabled wife were stuck in the basement for the past 2 weeks. Should mention that the salesman came to my house the very day I called to inquire - the VERY SAME DAY. However, they have dragged their feet for 2 weeks in coming to fix what they sold me.

Kind and Knowledgeable Salesperson

I had an excellent sales meeting with David Brenner (Pleasantville, NJ offices of Leaf Home Solutions) - he was very knowledgeable about the product as well as options available from other vendors. We were interested in a lift for our mother's home. While budgetary considerations did not result in a purchase of the product, I wanted to express my appreciation for David's honest and knowledgeable sales approach.

High Pressure Sales Tactic

The sales person used very high pressure tactics to sell this product. Was very rehearsed and robot like. Was not personable at all. I was not impressed with the sales person putting down his competitors. I felt he was just at our house to sell the lift. The impression I did get from this person was poor customer relations and immediately was turned off by his sales pitch. I didn't like the idea of him assuming we would by from this company. When he was told we had other companies we were meeting with for several other estimates. The sales person did get a little testy. The meeting was ended when we ask him to leave, I would not recommend this company to anyone. GFS-JGP

Service not responsive

The installation of the stair lift was good, but a month later it quit working after it was accidentally unplugged. My 90 year old dad called hq who said they would let the manager/scheduler know so they could get someone out here to fix it. We got no response that entire week. The following week (Sept 29) I called hq and was told that since we unplugged it, the warranty would not cover the new battery we needed. We would need to pay for that, but they'd try to get us a special deal. The next day I called hq back to say, "That makes no sense; power outages happen here all the time. It was only unplugged for at most 3 days, on a 1-month old chair." Hq said they would have the manager/scheduler call us. I've been calling every day from Sept 29th until October 6th - hq, the manager/scheduler, the installer - and I've been told the same thing every time - "That sounds frustrating. We'll let the manager/scheduler know." My dad has balance issues and is struggling to go up and down the stairs every day, so yeah it's frustrating to pay $7,360 for the stair lift and it be unusable. The day after writing the above, my brother called insistently and talked with the scheduler/manager, who said that if the lift is without power for 48 hours while the toggle button is in the on position, it will kill the battery, and that the battery isn't covered by the warranty. Also we learned that we'll need to replace the battery every 1- 2 years anyway. Finally we were told that a new battery costs $20 to $30. For the past 2 1/2 weeks I had assumed a new battery would be more in the $300-$500 range, like ebike batteries. I wish it hadn't taken over 2 weeks of trying to communicate with Leaf to figure this out. Seems to me this battery drain situation, is a lousy design, esp if you have housemates, family, neighbors, children, friends, or anyone who might be in your house needing to use an outlet.

Why we picked Leaf Home

We compared Leaf Home to Bruno and Acorn. Leaf Home is more expensive, but the components seem to be better constructed, the lifetime warranty is better than Acorn (1 year), and there is no requirement to pay for an annual maintenance plan (Acorn and Bruno). Our lift was installed the same week we ordered it and it works great.
