Some reviewers were not happy with the delivery scheduling and customer support response times when unexpected issues arose. I have decided to take my case to the people so that they can decide for themselves whether Living Spaces is a company they can trust and confidently do business with. What transpired in my situation should never have occurred, particularly after their company was given multiple opportunities to resolve the matter appropriately. Unfortunately, at every stage, Living Spaces chose not to stand behind the quality of the product it sold or the commitments made to its customers.
Consumers have every right to expect that furniture purchased and delivered will arrive free from defects. In this case, the defects in the sectional sofa should have prompted immediate corrective action, including replacement of the entire 3-piece sectional. Instead, I was informed that my only options were to either “return or replace,” without any clear explanation that you were referring to only one piece of the sectional.
At no point would it have been reasonable to assume that I would return or exchange a single section of a 159-inch sectional sofa, thereby reducing it to approximately 109 inches and leaving the designated living space incomplete and unusable as intended. Furthermore, their company could not guarantee that any replacement piece would come from the same dye lot, despite the obvious risk of color variation and mismatch in fabric. This would only compound the existing issue and further diminish the appearance and value of the furniture I purchased.
The reality is that Living Spaces could not guarantee delivery of the product as originally purchased and represented. Under those circumstances, a full refund should have been handled promptly and professionally. Instead, the process became unnecessarily difficult and adversarial.
This experience demonstrates a concerning lack of accountability and raises serious questions regarding whether Living Spaces truly stands behind the products and warranties it sells. I believe prospective customers deserve to know the potential risks they face if defective merchandise is delivered and whether they can reasonably expect fair and responsible treatment from their company when problems arise.
People need to be warned that when buying from Living Spaces they should not sign for the product until they have carefully inspected their furniture and it is free from all defects.
We purchased an expensive electric Love seat with a console. We purchased the extra warranty which the salesperson said would take care of everything for years. We are snowbirds so we only get 6 months use out of a year. After three years the cushion and back lost the foam support. I called to get it repaired under their warranty. The warranty doesn't cover workmanship. It only covered accidents. They know their quality is poor and doesn't last but a year or two. They really don't cover anything. The leather color is coming off, but that isn’t covered. I would discourage everyone from shopping at Living Spaces. They are not trust worthy.
We had great experience. Customer service was excellent. They honored the warranty and replaced the item with no questions asked. You should buy furniture from them. Very reliable.
The worst! We purchased beds and mattresses from Living Spaces over two weeks ago and still have not received our order. Our delivery has now been canceled twice, once on the actual delivery day and now again the day before the scheduled delivery.
The entire experience has been incredibly frustrating. Communication has been poor, customer service has been unhelpful, and no one seems able to provide accurate information or solutions. After spending a significant amount of money, we expected much better service and reliability.
At this point, we are still waiting for the furniture we already paid for. Extremely disappointed with how Living Spaces has handled this situation.
UPDATE to this nightmare: they cancelled again on us today with no warning!!!!!! The worst company. Do not purchase anything from them.
I ordered from in the showroom, had a great initial experience with the salesperson. They unfortunately ordered the wrong couch fabric and I noticed upon delivery before it was fully unwrapped it and had them take it back. The one star is for being charged the restocking fee when 1) it was the salesperson's mistake and 2) I refused upon delivery, no return trip was made. After no less than 12 calls getting bounced around I was told I could order something else to have it waived (they didn't have what I need in stock, and why would I trust this business after the initial error?) or eat the fee. Even the receipt didn't have the fabric type listed so how was I to know it was incorrect when I was sitting on exactly what I wanted ordered making the buy with the salesperson completing the request? Absolutely absurd.
They offer a warranty service for $500, unlimited for 5 years. It is complete trash. I Filed a claim for a month now and they keep asking for more photos. I've sent so many photos and and everything is just automatic. They're beating around the bush and wasting my time. I will fight this for however long I need to. Scammers!
Our experience with this furniture store was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. We purchased furniture from them twice, and both times there were problems with our orders. Instead of trying to help or find a real solution, it felt like they simply did not care about keeping us as customers.
Every time we picked out a furniture set, there was always an issue — either the item was suddenly unavailable or we were told it would take weeks to arrive. The manager made very little effort to assist us or make things right. Their only “solution” was to try to push us into buying different furniture that was completely out of our budget and not even close to what we wanted.
It honestly feels like their business strategy is to get customers to return furniture so they can pressure them into spending more money each time. And if you decide to cancel your order, they keep a large portion of your money and charge unnecessary fees. It feels unfair and very dishonest, especially toward new customers.
The customer service at the Selma location was rude, careless, and very unprofessional. After our experience, I can understand why they already have so many negative reviews. I would strongly recommend people think twice before shopping here.
The quality of the furniture is terrible and it is expensive for what you get. I spent $4000 on a sectional and within six months a spot of the leather had faded. I submitted a claim to have them re-dye the spot and they rejected it. They do not honor their warranty and their customer service is horrible.
This may be the worst run retail store of all time. In the Scottsdale, AZ store they have tons of clueless sales associates wandering around with handheld computers-clueless and more or less indifferent- unable to answer questions. Three different associates- 4 different answers- none seem correct on an order with a custom fabric. Am I just cranky? They have a swivel chair in the store window- I go inside and ask an associate if they have it on the floor. After a conference with three of them- two of them walk to the front window- and after a brief discussion finally conclude they don't have it on the floor. Is the front window a store room? I will leave it here- ask a technical question---you get different answers all the time. Its a mess....If you go in and order something on the floor- you might be ok. If you need help- better off leaving and head for somewhere else- anywhere else.
5/5 stars! Delivery team killed it, they’re so understanding and helpful definitely a shoutout to Brandon and Yulier ! I’d give higher rating if I could!
We recently had a very large delivery an hour and half outside of Phx. Sergio and Jesus were on time, communicative and a pleasure to work with. Our furniture was delivered and put together perfectly and quickly. Thank you to both of you! Also a shout out to our Salesperson who was patient with our family as we shopped the whole store for 2 hours, I cannot remember her name but our customer number is C-009480222-she deserves all the credit! Thank you! Karen Whall
Initially, we intended to visit the store to explore its offerings until we encountered Davon in Mission Valley. He proved to be incredibly helpful, diligently answering all our inquiries. His exceptional friendliness and humor played a pivotal role in our decision to purchase the furniture we fell in love with. If we ever decide to expand our furniture collection, we would undoubtedly return solely because of the exceptional experience Davon provided us.
We had a great experience at the Living Spaces location on 1519 Hawthorne Blvd. Phil and Mateo were incredibly helpful, friendly, and informative throughout our mattress purchase. They took the time to answer our questions and made the entire process easy and enjoyable. Customer service like this truly makes a difference—Living Spaces should definitely reward them with a raise or bonus! Highly recommend this location and these two associates.
I bought a sofa with a warranty. DO NOT GET THE WARRANTY!. 5 rescheduled appointments and it taking me months to clean the stain. Still hasnt been cleaned!. Save your money and skip the warranty.
Would rate below 1 star if possible. We went to Living Spaces for the purchase for a recliner couch. The price was reasonable, until it only lasted two weeks.......
Long story short....the left hand recliner did not work. They sent the wrong replacement piece and told us that we had dispose of the defective piece at our cost. Then they sent the wrong piece and tried to tell us it was our fault, even though it was their warranty people ordering the wrong piece (which they didn't). The salesman sold us a bunch of lies about the extended warranty. Living Spaces sent me a copy of what we agreed to which was different that what we were given at time of purchase. Big Mistake because now I have both what they provide to customer and what they have say they gave to customers. BEWARE DO NOT BUY. We are now have other recliner problems with the couch. That is a whole lot of money for a trash couch!!! We are not rich, so this is a major purchase for us and now we are left with junk.
This company gets no stars, Customer service is appalling . I wonder mostly why a bank would partner with a company that consistently gets such negative reviews and reports of poor quality products, poor warranty of products. Imperfect customer experiences can persist if operational controls are weak or incentives are misaligned. Perhaps it would behove someone in marketing to enlighten Mr. Synchrony Bank.
Bought a recliner and it was horrible and uncomfortable. Wasted $500 on this thing. Contacted living spaces and the just dismissed me and told me I can’t return it and there is nothing they can do and then go on to say how can I help you? You CAN’T! Very contingent customer service rep and other customer service rep said that they’re gonna share this feedback with management. I know how it works. I work customer service you don’t share anything. I will continue to leave negative comments about your customer service on every social media that there is.
