Growing pains…
The process was a little more confusing than I thought it would be. Once published I found mistakes after I ordered some copies. I guess I didn’t understand enough about formatting.

Really like the range of book sizes at an affordable price for an indie author and illustrator like me. Easy to order and the books always arrive in secure recyclable packaging. Inks are true and the paper is just what my graphic novel needed.

Low risk and cheap publishing
By far the easiest and lowest risk way to publish a book. For anyone wanting to become a published author but doesn't want the hassle and cost that comes with going with a big company then I would highly suggest publishing through Lulu
Selected and Collected
I have used Lulu to produce several revisions of two books, and the experience has been very good. The publishing process allows an author to upload, revise, proof, and refine a book until the printed result is right. The online preview tools are useful, and the finished books have matched my expectations very closely. Print quality, binding, and especially the glossy cover reproduction have been excellent. Lulu has made it practical for an independent author to turn a Word manuscript into a professional-looking physical book without having to order hundreds of copies. I particularly appreciate being able to order individual proofs while continuing to improve the work.
