What people say

Xbox Series X directly from the…

Xbox Series X directly from the Microsoft Store. It installed an update out of the box and now powers off within 15 seconds every time we turn it on. Completely dead on arrival. Here's the kicker — the return option has been removed from my order page, and Microsoft Sales Support has hung up on us twice when we called for help. No response on any platform, no way to file a claim on the Xbox or Microsoft support sites. I'm well within the advertised 60-day return window for a defective product. This is unacceptable for a company of Microsoft's size selling premium hardware. @xbox @microsoft — do better. #Xbox #XboxSeriesX #Microsoft #CustomerService #DOA #ConsumerRights

OneDrive is horrendous

OneDrive is the most awful, evil thing I've ever used. Didn't update for 4 years despite so many attempts and 100s of GB of headroom. Brute forced all of my files into my new PC. When I got rid of them, it deleted everything at the source, 800GB of files. Absolutely evil thing I will never touch again. Google for everything now.

Skype / Microsoft Teams: They tried to steal my money.

I had money on my Skype account (Skype is now Microsoft Teams). First, they always deactivate the money after a while and you need to reactivate it. Not enough that this is complicated, but they placed so many obstacles on the road to deactivating, And did this so smart and strategic, that even with all help of several customer service agents, it took 3h to get my money active again. they pull all the triggers they can to prevent people from reactivating their balance: complicated pesign, captcha challenges that are so difficult to resolve and so unusual in kind, several bugs that are so obvious and so annoying and so easy to resolve that it is conscious neglect that they are still there, etc etc. In the end, I had to spend so much time to reactivate my Skype balance and wade through all these complicated obstacles that the time wasted was worth much more than the money I reactivated. THIS IS A FORM OF THEFT. -> consequence: if a company behaves like this, I will never ever on no occasion buy or use any Microsoft product ever in the future. I use my Skype money until it expires and that's the end of Microsoft for me.

Microsoft makes a solidFunctional older PCs shouldn't be pushed into e-waste operating…

Microsoft makes a solid operating system, but the strict hardware requirements for Windows 11 are deeply disappointing. Flagging perfectly fast, capable PCs as "unsupported" simply because they lack TPM 2.0 or an 8th-Gen CPU pushes functional electronics toward landfill waste and forces unnecessary upgrades. To make matters worse, the aggressive upgrade pop-ups, forced online accounts, and ads throughout the UI make the system feel less user-focused. Microsoft needs to give users official, supported paths to keep their existing PCs updated safely, rather than leaving loyal customers relying on registry hacks or third-party bypass tools.

Zero human customer assistance

I purchased a minecraft card for my son. We tried to activate it And it doesn't work. Trying to contact customer support is non-existent because as soon as they recognize your number they send you over to Xbox and I don't have an Xbox in my home So there's no reason for me to reach out to Xbox support. I am ready to do away with anything Microsoft in this house and I'm fixing to dispute this charge on my debit card I would not recommend Microsoft to anyone and any company I ever work for in the future and I the one I currently work for now that's a huge company is fixing to do away with Microsoft because of this issue right here! They have zero human customer service and zero human interaction. You paid $30 and get nothing is a scam!!

How can such a big company suck so bad

How can such a big company suck so bad? My account got hacked and stolen, I can't get in. So I go to get my account back, can't cause you have to log into Microsoft. Can't do that, it's stolen. I put in the info they need and they say can't verify it's you so your not getting into your own account. We want to make sure your who you say you are. Security is very important to us, ok why did you let my account with my info on it get stolen????????? I tried all different ways to get ahold of them, you can't. There is no email for them. There is a number I heard but it's almost impossible to talk to a person... I've read review after review on how bad this company is, how are they still so big and even a thing???? I think some know.

Terrible

Terrible, greedy corporation. I seriously cannot believe they have gotten this bad over the years. Just a bunch of money hungry executives who do not care about you, just your wallet. What’s with the constant updates that “fix” things that don’t need fixing and just end up breaking them?? Don’t even get me started on their laptops/PCs! Just A bunch of overpriced products that have a very short lifespan. and, if you get the shit end of the stick? your pc gets locked behind a bitlocker screen requiring you to find your recovery key. the kicker: the only way to see it is by going to your account page and on the manage page which does not load at all, rendering the product YOU BOUGHT WITH YOUR MONEY unusable.

Built-in tools are hot garbage

What should have been a simple partition action turned into an hours long cavalcade of horrors and frustration, for a task I have done many times before. I should not need to buy a higher edition of an operating system or rely on third-party utilities to have basic control over hardware I own. Managing storage, repairing the system, and recovering from problems should be core operating system responsibilities. Instead, Windows frequently provides limited tools that handle only the simplest scenarios, leaving users to search for third-party software, obscure command-line solutions, or paid utilities to perform ordinary maintenance. The problem is not a lack of advanced enterprise features. This is about basic ownership: if I own the PC, I should have reliable built-in tools to manage my own disks and recover my own system. When the built-in tools fail or are incomplete, the burden falls on the user to become a system administrator just to perform routine tasks. That is not a good user experience. Its beyond time to ditch the corporate operating systems. Yes Linux can have a steeper learning curve, but its worth it to not have to fight your OS every step of the way.

I suddenly started not being able to…

I suddenly started not being able to use Microsoft Excel even tough I have been paying the subscription. I tried everything but it still isn't recognising the account. Meanwhile I was trying to solve the issue, it suddenly charged me again eben tough it isnt the payment date. Such a disgusting firm, disgusting corporate management.

I subscribed to Microsoft Copilot Pro…

I subscribed to Microsoft Copilot Pro expecting full access to the image generation features, especially since the plan clearly states you receive 60 monthly credits. What isn’t made clear before paying is that you still face a strict daily limit, meaning you can’t actually use the credits you paid for whenever you want. This feels misleading and unfair. The system gives the impression of flexibility, but in reality it restricts you to around 15 images per day, even as a paying customer. I cancelled recurring billing because the experience didn’t match what was advertised. Microsoft needs to be far more transparent about how Copilot Pro actually works. The worst part is that the limit resets only once per day, and even then the reset time is inconsistent. Some days it resets late, leaving me unable to work even though I haven’t used my full allowance. For anyone who relies on image generation for creative or business purposes, this daily cap makes Copilot Pro unreliable and frustrating. If Microsoft wants people to trust this upgrade, they need to be transparent about the limitations and remove this restrictive daily cap. As it stands, Copilot Pro does not deliver the freedom or flexibility you expect from a paid service.

I have been trying to recover my outlook account for several months already but it's always unsuccessful. Your Microsoft helper doesn't really help. It always say that your request is being reviewed but it seems that it is set to auto-reject.

Learn Linux because Microsoft is OVER

Microsoft's negligence is completely unacceptable! My computer was hacked in 2022 by Bitcoin miners who had full access to my OneDrive, personal photos, and Microsoft files for four years! I reported it repeatedly to their support team and they did nothing. Microsoft's negligence is completely unacceptable team and they did nothing. Absolutely nothing! Now the hackers have changed my password and PIN, locking me out of my own computer, forcing me to factory reset everything. This company has ruined my data and wasted years of my life with their pathetic security and zero customer care. Do not trust Microsoft with anything important. They couldn't care less about their users. Disgusting service. I want compensation and I want answers" - by the way, I live with my brother and I am using his PC - unreal

Thanks to Microsoft for shielding criminal activity by blocking emails sent to "abuse@" addresses.

It protects hosting providers and administrators of platforms, sites, domains, etc., against reports of spam, phishing, and other issues sent to "abuse@" email addresses. It amounts to deliberate complicity—while victims see their lives ruined! "We couldn’t deliver your message to several recipients. A custom mail flow rule created by an administrator on nrtccoop.onmicrosoft.com blocked your message. Offensive words A mail administrator on nrtccoop.onmicrosoft.com created a custom mail flow rule that blocks messages meeting certain conditions. It appears that one or more of these conditions were met in your message. Review the text above to see a custom message from the mail administrator explaining why your message was blocked and how you can resolve the issue. For example, removing prohibited words or sending the message from a different email account might be enough to get your message delivered. If you have tried to resolve the issue without success, consider contacting the mail administrator at nrtccoop.onmicrosoft.com for guidance. Although it is unlikely that the administrator will remove or relax the rule, they may be able to tell you how to proceed to get your message delivered if it is legitimate."

Fix this.

Hello. I wrote this review for one reason. And if you want to know that reason, it's greed. I've owned an Xbox Since Christmas with zero problems whatsoever. And then July came. I've made a friend in Minecraft, and I've wanted to join him super DUPER badly when he was active. It was like trying to get a piece of candy when you were 5. And then, DEPRESSION. I've looked for every possible way to join and then discovering the gamepass. I cannot believe that you need to PAY 10 DOLLARS A MONTH TO JOIN A FREIND!! Please fix this fix this Microsoft. You're basically destroying the Minecraft community.
