They responded to my request accordingly
Customer Support is abhorrent, I am a paying customer that after mistakenly changing my birth year on the website have been blocked out for 3 days now, I left my number to change my birth date and was told I would receive a call shortly, not once did I hear my phone ring. Then I tried asking them to get permission from a guardian, by sending them an e-mail with a code which I could then input and be allowed to continue. No e-mail ever arrived, I tried multiple times, multiple e-mail accounts. Nothing. Then I e-mailed your customer support myself only to get an AI, to whom I kindly asked if I could speak to a human. "An agent will be with you shortly" Guess what? Never happened. So then I called your International customer support helpline thinking i could finally talk to a real human. But I got an automated message and after 25 minutes all it did, was tell me to send an e-mail to your customer support. Again. So you took my money, locked me out and never allowed me back in. That sounds like unjust enrichment or even breach of contract. I also bought a DNA kit which I CANNOT activate. I don't care if you don't get it fixed immediately but at least allow me to talk to a human and not a brick wall of a chatbot. Taking my money and leaving me in the dirt with nothing is something I could sue for.
Oran did a good job of explaining the features of the Omni plan. I decided to give it a try.
The representative was very helpful very polite
Yuval, the customer relations manager, explained all of my options concerning renewal of my subscription, which ended on 4 August. He was very patient in the way he listened in order to understand how I use My Heritage’s services. We finally agreed on a a new subscription that met my needs for a very reasonable annual cost.
The phone call to resolve the issue was quick, and the staff offered lots of solutions. Noah was very nice and handled the problem quickly.
When I contact 'My Heritage' now I get this: Hi, Thank you for contacting us. I understand that you'd like to receive a refund for your charge on MyHeritage. Unfortunately, I was unable to locate any account on MyHeritage under the email address from which you are writing. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. To assist you, please send the following information in a new email sent from the address you used to sign up to MyHeritage and not as a reply to this email: • The last 4 last digits of the credit card that you used to make your purchase and the credit card type; or, if you purchased via PayPal, the PayPal transaction ID. • Proof of payment (the proof of payment should include the amount, the name of the credit card holder exactly as it appears on the credit card, and the date of charge). I send the information they ask for over and over and over again. This is a 'scam' company. They obviously have 'automated responses'. I put up a review yesterday and a 'Lene' responded. We see if this is another 'automated' response.
My Heritage and family search are very important in researching my family. I find something new almost every time I log in. I'm a senior on a fixed income and cannot afford all the extra things. I have paid for a few extra things, but cannot afford old newspapers. If I didn't have my LDS account I wouldn't be able to do my family tree. Thank you. Donna
The gentleman I talked to was helpful and polite.
I was unexpectedly charged due to an automatic renewal. I had not used the service and requested a refund within the 30-day money-back guarantee period stated in MyHeritage’s Terms of Service. I contacted customer support and clearly explained that I wanted a full refund. Customers should not have to repeatedly request a refund when a company has already promised a 30-day money-back guarantee. I hope MyHeritage improves transparency regarding automatic renewals and processes refunds fairly and promptly.
The young lady who helped me renew my subscription was personable and very pleasant to talk to. The renewal was easy.
