Dear Customer Service, pick one: be rude, or be wrong—but not both
I wrote an email to customer service when I tried to purchase a book with a discount code that wouldn't work at the checkout. My inquiry was met with quite a patronizing explanation as to why the book wasn't eligible to be used with that code.
Rather than continuing to deal with them, I tried again the next day and the code worked fine.

I am very pleased with price and quality of the books.
I do think they could use a plain paper wrap before putting in the cardboard mailing envelope/box. That way they won't shuffle around so much in the envelope/box.

Faster than Jimmy Johns!
They got me my order faster than I ever could have anticipated. Very impressed by this considering how niche a book it was that I ordered from them.

Online shop remains full of glitches
Online shop remains full of glitches. Shop actually run by Springer; received several bills with cost listed as 0 instead of correct amount. After two weeks, products neither shipped nor arrived.

Books arrived very promptly
Books arrived very promptly, and were an absolute bargain at the sale price. The content is high quality academic writing, so they can be read and cited at a similar level (or more popular). I like the standardised size and many other features of the physical editions of the texts. But surely, price and delivery speed are the outstanding icing on the cake of solid research publication.

Happy with the purchase
I bought a book for my girlfriend through them, and while she's been spending most of the time with it, I've read a little of the history for Medieval German society in it, and find it both interesting and well put together. She is incredibly happy with the product, which makes me happy.
As far as the binding, it's beautiful and well done.
